I feel like a price / market video should be one where the card frame matches the price that you are talking about. You are showing hyperspace cards on screen and talking about normal border prices
@@VeiledShotSWU 100% understand your point of view, that being said not trying to be negative, but it definitely changes the value of the card so its important to show the actual card next to its price
@@cameronreid9294 Oh for sure, I agree, it just wasn't something I thought of before you all commented. I only have the hyperspace version of the cards downloaded so I just made the graphics like that but next time I'll fix :)
As someone who was just introduced to this game three weeks ago, it is a struggle to get any new cards. I’m still waiting on my first booster packs which I had to order from TCG player lol
@@VeiledShotSWU i’m literally just rocking the starter decks right now until my four $13 booster packs come in because that is all that I was able to find. Lol. What do you think the expansion boxes and booster packs will be going for at the start?
Another thing to consider with the market is the player base increasing significantly. A top FaB player won the 5k. The guy who piloted the Luke Green deck came from FaB too. A lot of gamers are looking at SWU and coming over to the dark side (literally lol) Not to mention disinterested Magic players, metazoo players have no home now. Everytime we play SWU at my LCS they’re crowds of players look at the game, playing and not putting money into it. Lastly with no real stock coming into the game until December, they’re gonna be premier events throughout the summer, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this is just the tip of the iceberg in pricing imo
It’s interesting cause in Australia, we have much more stock than what seems like a lot of other countries. We aren’t able to buy boxes like we were at the start of the game however, we still have packs to open through events etc every week! However we then still use the tcg player market price.
Going through some of my early buys shows the increase. Bought Home one for 3.50, hyper space foil slp for 18, vililance for 5, uwing 0,50 and lukes for 15...
These prices might actually not go down at all, no one knew product shortages would be this bad. There is only going to be one reprint sometime before winter and by then 2 new sets will be out which will most likely need cards from the first set. If anything these prices are just going to go up.
@@VeiledShotSWU I imagine each set will have 2-3 absolute bangers in each color but cards like Superlaser Blast, Vader, Vigilance, and Avenger I think will always be good because they immediately effect the board and make a huge impact. Also since there's only one reprint that will immediately sell out I think they will always hold value.
Waiting for the reprint to drop prices is not an option for me at least. By the time reprint hits stores and starts to drop prices we'll be into set 3. I need some of these cards now.
Honestly I am quite upset by how expensive this has all become. I wish I had purchased a playset of every of those a month and a half ago. I purchased a lot of cards for cheap still. However the single one card I moarn the most about is Vigilance. I do not expect this one to go down much. Infact I expect most of the big dual color cards to rise once mono decks become more viable. Regarding the reprints: At the time of the reprints I expect many more players to be in the game. Until then, prices will probably go up quite a bit. So when there ever will be a price drop, it might probably be to the level it is now. Really sad how this all has evolved. It sucks so much that this is so much pay to win now.
I got my SLB, Avengers and Vig for less then 15 dollars each also. I have like 7 of each of them.. I am apparently sitting on a nest egg and had no idea, i dont pay close attention, thanks for the video to remind me of this nonsense. granted, i dont play the game to flip these items for money, i play the game because I like the game and i like to have decks that are ready to go and not proxied.
Tbf its not necessarily far to say supply issues, its just wildly popular; definitely isnt a lorcana situation. And 150 for a meta deck isnt that insane. A tournament winning mtg standard deck is usually that or more. I remember my esper standard deck back in the day was much more than that with terminus, supreme verdicts, sphinx rev, geists, sorin and dont forget shocklands.
Little bit of semantic argument, regardless, we have little options (at least in the states) to pick up packs at retail price since there are very little to none available. As for it being relatively normal for $150 for a meta deck, that is true, but that doesn't mean it's reasonable for people to actually buy in. I mean, some are way worse, I spent like $360 to update my U/W control list for standard like 2 months ago, doesn't mean I was happy to do it, haha.
Boba has gone down a bit, but wouldn't be surprised if these prices stay as the norm. Sadly I won't be able to get any Vaders at the current price. I feel it for newer players who are just picking up the game. Supply is almost non-existent
@@HaviccB Yes 😂 a little bit. Possibly a K2 or Red 3 on top of it. I’m not super greedy when it comes to trades. I love hooking ppl up. It’s just cardboard, right?
It's less that (althought that is a part of it) and more of the fact that supply is so low that due to the meta shaping up the way it is, everyone has bought out the lower priced options.

Fair enough, haha. I just like the hyperspace versions so much but I get it. I did mention it in the video.
Big 100%. I was surprised to see it even in the video, not just the thumbnail.

This is true in Europe as well. Prices are much lower, because the game is not nearly as popular.
Huh that's interesting, I've heard similar stories.
My husband opened a vigilance pretty early on and gave it to me simply because I liked the art 😅 little did we know!
I feel like in Europe its like 25% cheaper on cardmarket, i feel Bad 4 u bro 😢
But i love Ur Vids, u helped me a lot gettin in that game ❤
I see that 26 euros for a Vigilance, that's still pricey but not quite to where we are at.

That is another way to think about it for sure, it really depends on how they manage supply/the synergies of future sets.

I had just bought my 3 copies of Vigilance for $15 CAD each. That's about $11 USD for context to my neighbors to the south.
That's so crazy, that's about when I picked mine up.

No it is a supply issue not a single store in my country had been able to get product through the usual method from their supplier.

Ill bet part of the reason Palp is so cheap is because he's in the dual deck.
I love your videos lord commander and king in the north
I just picked up 3 HS falcons for 110...and now i see this video. crap
3 hyperspace falcons for 110 is a great deal with current market prices. The prices on the video are the normal border cards
@jrizzo520 might not look so great 2 months from now!
Just opened up a Luke today.. Don't need him, though. Looking to trade for a Devastator
And money I hope

Your own creation.
Is now a good time to sell if you have some of these?
I would say so, I've been tried to get mine traded/sold off.
