Florinel Coman ( nicknamed the Romanian Mbappe) is expected much more in the next match, the Romanian Champion with FCSB and Liga 1 golden boot with 18 goals scored and 11 assists. Dennis Man( 2 assists vs Ukraine), Stanciu ( the first goal vs Ukraine - the stunner), Niță ( GK ) also played for FCSB so I am very proud of our players. Olaru and Șut on the bench are also FCSB players and just won the Liga 1. So keep an eye on them
Coman played a perfect match too. He helped defense so much. The whole team was a defensive unit, that's why we are unbeaten in this Euro qualification. Iordanescu is showing greatness.
I'm romanian and let me tell you something, no one, from former players to journalists or fans believed we could shine so bright in this first game of the Euro's. the last two friendlies we played were 0 - 0 against Bulgaria and Liechtenstein at home and the moral on fans side was very low. Some have questioned the selection the coach did when he left home one or two players for disciplinary reasons but after the game last night nobody is challenging his choices now. It's euphoric to talk about football for us, the fans which hasn't really happened for a few years now. I'm not the one to believe we're going to win the tournament now but at least I'll say this, we have found that this generation of players can be a team and can play good football.
All the times supporters are upsets.What they don't understand is not even one player,in a friendly match will not force him self especially before a major tournament like EURO 2024 or World Cup.He can lose the tournament if he get an injurie so no one will force.A froendly match is just a friendly match,will not count for the teams who played it.I am romanian as well and the friendly match did not make me think in a bad way,because i was playing football for 12 years and I know you can't judge a team after a friendly match.If you have doubts about a team,then you will have that doubts even if the team win,lose or make a draw in a friendly match.
WoW I'm impressed by the knowledge you guys have about Romania's football history. I'm Romanian, mid 40's and lived to see the so called golden generation of Romania at USA 94. What I saw yesterday, kept me standing up the whole game and had me in tears of joy by the end. I have never witnessed Romania play a game so perfectly. Yesterday, everything went our way.

To be honest, Romanian National football team , surprised Romanians as well, real performance practiced every minute of the game. No chance for Ukraine offensive. No shot on target untill '77 minute of the game.
Let's not get crazy about Romania... we're talking here about the lowest valued squad in the EURO by far. They're a team with a lot of heart and that's enough for us here in Romania. Individual value ends up mattering a lot in the end.
