We spent 10 days on Langkawi several years ago and I AGREE. Many times I have said it is my favourite place .... so far. And if I have to fall to my death somewhere - well Langkawi is the place I want it to happen.
I have been to Langkawi in Jan 2017 staying in Pantai Cenang for 1 week. The island has 3 waterfalls, island hopping tours, mangrove tours, beautiful beaches, sunset cruises, jungle trekking, large aquarium, wildlife park, eagle square and of course ShyCab/Skybridge. Also did a day trip to Koh Lipe in Thailand from Telaga Harbour as well

Yes. Langkawi Island is truly beautiful. It is called the Island of Legends. It is like paradise on earth. The most famous legend is the legend of Mahsuri. The most beautiful woman on the Island who was sentenced to death due to false accusation out of jealousy. White blood came out of her body after being stabbed to death during the sentence. Before her death she cursed Langkawi to 7 generations of disaster. Somehow, coincidentally, the events happened for more than a 100 years when Langkawi got attacked by the Siamese army, long draught season and others. Until 30 years ago when the Island was revived as a top tourist destination due to its commercial potential.
