When you talked about not being able to tear rice paper, I automatically thought of brushing the edges with water - the same technique I use for tissue paper. Lol

Back in 2003 when I started stamping I used rice paper all the time! But as a background layer. Tearing by wetting and it gave a cool texture. But I never tried using printed and there wasn't any around then. I really liked it and when I started stamping again I tried to find it in just plain colors and it was very difficult to find . I was only able to get it at the craft show and I loaded up. But now it sits there! hahaha. I'll have to start stamping on it. You can even emboss on it. If I remember correctly.

Wow. This is one of the first times I have seen rice paper available easily in America when a video came on about it. I went ahead and ordered. I have always wanted to try some recently. Hello Gerry, I'm having my first adventures with rice paper and adoring the stuff, it's such a combination of fragile and strong and really makes colours go "pop"! You've used it truly beautifully here and thank you very much for all your tips and inspiration.
