Who knew the first video I watch is exactly what I needed. I usually feel like I need to watch more. You began your video by saying just like how I feel. And,you explained everything in every way possible. I have found rice paper I like but I didn’t know what to do with them. Now all I need is a few more supplies, watch your videos again, and I’m good. Thank you for sharing your time and talent for which you have so much more than I. Way, way, way across the pond. Your neighbor in Washington. 🎼Let us oft speak kind words…🎶
This is a great video! We sell that same kind of rice paper because it's my favorite too! I love how it looks when you tear the edges. Your cards are beautiful!
These papers and your cards are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing these techniques. I have missed your longer videos so this one was a real treat.
thanks💖wow that's so nice of you, I was a bit hesitant to share a longer video, but there was just so much to tell about these papers, I was having loads of fun😁💕
@@GerrysCraftRoom Although I prefer short videos because of an aging attention span (!!), I love all the content. I can always stop in the middle and start again after a nap (me laughing!!!).
Back in 2003 when I started stamping I used rice paper all the time! But as a background layer. Tearing by wetting and it gave a cool texture. But I never tried using printed and there wasn't any around then. I really liked it and when I started stamping again I tried to find it in just plain colors and it was very difficult to find . I was only able to get it at the craft show and I loaded up. But now it sits there! hahaha. I'll have to start stamping on it. You can even emboss on it. If I remember correctly.
Oh my. The dragonfly with your doodling and splatters wants to come and live with me! That is exquisite, Gerry! (We have dragonflies and damselflies here around a tiny lake. I put skinny bamboo gardening stakes in the ground for them to land on and rest.) 💕
Wow!! What an introduction to your channel. I am IN LOVE with the last card you created using the dragonfly rice paper. Gorgeous!! Thank you for sharing. I need to buy some rice paper and pixie dust now. 😁😁😁

Gerry, All your videos are excellent.I’ve learned so much from them. Thanks for all your tips. I certainly love the idea of using crackle paste with light gesso over it. Love the phrase- “micro crafting.” That’s what we do!
Wow. This is one of the first times I have seen rice paper available easily in America when a video came on about it. I went ahead and ordered. I have always wanted to try some recently. I appreciate the shipping was low as well just a little over $3 for shipping. $30 total to get two sets of rice paper designs. Thanks for the link for the rice paper.
I made sure they were available, as it's such a bummer if you like them and they are all out of them. Joggles is a lovely company and thanks for using my link💕 Enjoy your rice papers!

Hello Gerry, I'm having my first adventures with rice paper and adoring the stuff, it's such a combination of fragile and strong and really makes colours go "pop"! You've used it truly beautifully here and thank you very much for all your tips and inspiration. I especially like the way you have feathered the edges and shown how to preserve that featheriness with the medium, I didn't think that was possible. :)
I bought my first piece of rice paper & had NO idea how to use it. Thank you SO much for the lesson! ❤🇦🇺❤
