Thanks for another great video Donny. I ordered and installed the same camera, your video just made it a lot easier. So far it works great. But now we wait for Helene to hit us, it got a little windy towards the end of the install today here in Tampa......
I just purchased this and did the same install in my gmc Yukon Denali. Almost the same install. One thing I did a little different was I ran a fish down the center if the headliner to the camera. Much easier than trying to avoid the airbags. Although your vehicle and mine are very similar, I could not use the fuse panel on the passenger side because all of the fuses had 12v all the time and I couldn’t find one that was ignition enabled. The ones that did not were really strange looking fuses. I was able to get what I needed in the driver side fuse panel. The only issue I am having and Don maybe you can tell me if you experience this as well is that for some reason in auto detection mode under parking mode, the first night I used it, it literally recorded something every 2 min. All night. Im not sure what was triggering it. I do have a red light that blinks in the dash for the security system. Not sure if that was doing it. Also. Last thought is you may want a larger SD card because it will overwrite everything a lot faster with the smaller one they gave you. As always Don , great video! Thank you.
Should the interior camera show red ir lights on when it’s dark cause mine isn’t showing any and I feel like it hardly shows me in the video when it’s dark.
Why the prices are so different for the same thing? Official site $389 vs Amazon $424? Does the kit include a microSD card? installation is complicated for a person who usually does not open the covers in the vehicle rather than the hood to add some windshield wipe fluids.
Can the "street rearview" camera bes used as a central rear view mirror, and if yes, over what monitor (an android-car-Radio's screen ? ..recycled unused smartphone?
Is there a way to turn off the car interior camera if you dont want it running constantly? Like turn it on only if you get pulled over or something like that? Thank you for sharing the info and install.
Can you please add those led fiber lights to your dash and maybe the doors? I really want to see how you handle adding those led fiber lights to your gmc, so I can learn some tricks before I do it to my 3500. I really love that ambient light they put off, much like your wife's car.
Hey, man you did an amazing job with the installation, just grabbed the A229 pro 2 channels for my wife’s car it's marked down on Amazon for a Black Friday sale, I am overseas, and doubt it’s going to be easy for her to hard wire it, maybe she can use the lighter plug until I come home or maybe will ask her to go to Best Buy, I believe they have a dash cam installation service for $99. Would San Disk 512Gb Extreme work without issues?
@@Donslife Yep, I ended up getting the SanDisk 512GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - Up to 190MB/s, C10, U3, V30, 4K, 5K, A2, Micro SD Card - SDSQXAV-512G-GN6MA, It has the same specs like Viofo sd card so it should work fine. Also, got a dash cam power adapter that connects to the rearview mirror to power up the dash cam for less wiring installation, Not worried about parking mode for now so no need to hardwire. Thanks, man for taking the time. Stay safe.
Good so far here is Canada. Survived the hot summers with no issue, now we’ll see how the cold treats it. So far we are quite satisfied with its performance
@@Donslife appreciate the feedback. I am glad to hear that. If it survives summer and that makes me a happy camper. It doesn’t really get too hot here in the east coast (DC metropolitan area), but temp could get into the low 100F during peak summer time.
“Outdoor” rated rear camera, lol. Maybe in Florida, but I spent way too many winters in Saskatchewan to know for a fact that outdoor camera wouldn’t make it through a single winter.
@@Donslife what's more,With a 64GB empty card, recording in 4K 60fps can only store about 1.5 hours, while 2K 30fps can store up to 7 hours of video. I know that it’s loop recording and will automatically delete old footage, but of course, we all hope that the dash cam can record as much video and data as possible for future reference if needed, don’t you think?
@ I do agree but it also varies on the user’s diving habits and frequency. My wife drives this vehicle no more than 30 mins per day except for family road trips a few times per year.
Aweosome installation, I have the two channels coming today I have been having the A129 Pro for years and I decided to upgrade to the A229 Pro.

Awesome , can’t wait for the Auto tech infotainment screen!!!!
Great video, Don! Also, really well done installation. Looks like a great dash cam to have.
Thanks! :)

What did you use to fish the wire through the headliner?
Unboxing is always a good way to spend time
How would you wire in a battery pack for extended parking recording?
Out of the cameras you've installed which one is your favorite?
This one is impressing me so far. Hasn’t overheated either. I need more time to fully answer.

I think it could be there might be a slight delay. I think a digital rearview mirror and camera would be better

Not sure, I will have to check in the settings menu.
@@Donslife thank you
Have you done one on the c8 would love to see where you tap in for that power distribution.

Class 10 v30 or better up to 512 should be great

Which Dash Cam system do you run on your truck? How many channels do you think are needed?
Any overheating issues? I’m concerned how it will handle direct afternoon sun exposure.

Maybe it’s a good thing I placed it in the rear window looking out
I hear Viofos might have a glitch that might cause it to freeze when in a high impact collision
I don’t know. I also hope I don’t have to test that claim

Thank you Sir for this brilliant video. Please, send the link on Amazon where I can purchase the remote. I have the same dashcam. Thank you Sir
I don't understand why they don't just use Bluetooth to connect the rear cameras. I haven't seen any that do that😢
Probably because Bluetooth data transmission rates are too slow for quality video
Showing us you peeling off the anti-scratch films is ...debolitating.
Subliminal commerce, etc.
😂
16:56 to many cables into main unit
Depending on how many extra cameras you add; one for power, one per additional camera added
Viofo... Made in China. 😫
What isn't made in China? Half that car was made in China 😅
