During Covid I've become a bit of a UA-cam trailer review snob; I watch them all. PJ always has the most details in her videos. Best lighting as well. Granted, this makes for a longer video, but they're quality videos.

This is one of my favorite choices. There's nothing to not like with Lance. And of course, I thoroughly enjoy every single video she puts out.

Just wondering but what did it cost
We have been waiting for our 2285 that we ordered in December. We pick up next week. This by far is the most thorough walk thru I've have seen to date. PJ does a fab job.
She's so good at making the small things seem relevant, and the things we should care about not so relevant, great job.

I’m just 8nterestdd in who she is because I feel like she’s an acquaintance after watching her in well over 75-100 videos so far while searching for my perfect RV! P.J. serves as a sort of quality control, too. Because I know when I see an tour led by her, that it’s going to be a high-quality RV! :) Love this Lance!
Above the pull out storage tray in the pass thru is a folding table that comes completely out, is lite weight but quite sturdy.
This is the reason why I still keep dreaming of Lance trailer. I love the way they attention to details, build quality and nothing unfinished in and out. One day Lance trailer will be on my drive way ☺️. Anyway great walk around, very detailed as well, you really show every details of the trailer in out and you talk very clear and not rushing so because of that I subscribed.
I just had to rewatch the video. I like her tone of voice when she gives the tours. 🐱
Love her review. Lance construction and details are great but the layout is so flawed. Virtually no room for food prep and the bathroom is minute : are the most striking. I would love to buy a Lance because of their attention to details : sliding drawers beneath the seats in dining area and under bed. Also simple things like a faucet in the sink by bathroom that actually is over the bowl and is functional. A functional wardrobe excellent.
But....
I wish the people who design these trailers actually went out and lived in them for a month! They would redesign the bathroom and kitchen area!
@@tamjacobite4758 I've heard Lance minimizes bathroom space bc lack of time spent in there vs more living space....could be a function of just their truck camper...I'm not an expert...I have the Lance 850....solid camper.
@@tamjacobite4758 The separate wash basin pulled out of the washroom sold us on this layout. Now using shower or toilet doesn't interfere with using that sink. Which is also handy to pop in the second door for a quick handwash, brilliant move.
I may be weird but I actually like the kitchen near the entrance....and that layout.
Yes the fridge is right inside the door, its proven very handy for us.
Yes, I like this layout as well, it gives you more room in the living area, like the added couch.

Nice floor plan and elegant styling, only negative i could see was the lack of counter prep space in the kitchen.
That was one of our concerns as well, but we use the dinette table when we need extra prep space and it has been working out great.
Hey PJ, nice walk through. One suggestion, could you show the trailers slides in and then out. That way I can see options to stop on the way to campgrounds without having the slides out. Thanks and keep up the great job.
Hi PJ! We love our 2018 2285 that we bought from you! Some of the newer features are really nice. We use our trash can for liquor storage and the Stargazer window is amazing. We took 3 of our grandkids on vacation last year and the booth and jacknife sofa made perfect beds for them. Love your reviews. We'll be sure to swing by and say hi the nexr time that we're in the area.

Price?
I Love my 2019 Lance 1985, however! We bought it brand new and had de-laminating issues within one month. They had to tow it across 3-States back to Lancaster and they replaced the front cap and damaged my awning on the way there or back. They also put so many miles on my new tires and they REFUSED to replace them or give me a credit. Other manufactures give you a credit or put new tires on for the way back. Just a heads up. They're very rude at their service center, too.

I toured a couple of models the other day and would love to have this trailer. I wish that she had run the sink and shower so that we can see what kind of flow they put out and how much noise the pump makes. I agree with the comments about kitchen prep space, and I think the cabinet over the sink is a bit deep. Storage in the bathroom is really nice. The fit and finish of this trailer are excellent. Great presentation of the trailer.
Keeping fresh fruit in the trash basket under the inset lid in the kitchen countertop is perfect when crossing the US / Canadian border or into California. That's why the RVIA standards require the mini-blinds in the kitchen, too, so the inspectors are less likely to see where the fruit or other contraband is squirreled away. Fortunately for them, in Oregon there is no regulation on trailer / RV manufacturers. That's why the factories are scattered everywhere. Cross into WA and there's suddenly none anywhere because there you have to be licensed and bonded in case you screw up...

I sold my big house already and just debating on a Lance (because of the 45 black tank:) or airstream Nest.................. I already tested the waters full timing for five years- What a relief in LIFE enjoyments! Remember NEVER live for the OTHER people that think making big mortgage payments and staying glued to the same spot is important-WHAT a lie that CRAP was!
Nice tour. Pocket door between living and bath would be ideal. If slide was shown both out and in would be helpful
to determine access for brief stops along route. Last I didn’t see awning cover over slide. These are essential to keep debris out of slide tracks, think pine needles. The slide tray storage very handy. Lovely rig, great lighting, nice finishes. Tks.
I think you can access the bedroom and bathroom with no problem through the door that goes into the bedroom. you could also access the kitchen. I don't know about walking from the kitchen to the bathroom.
Slide out awning is optional.

Having the separate wash basin removed from the BR has proven to be a stroke of brilliance for us.
If I had lot of money, I would buy a nice new car and a new camper like this. That would be my dream. I would live in it.
This one and the 2465 are my favourite ones and the little Guy Mini Max,, These big Caravan/Campers are built just right and I love how they have raised the chassis up high so they can travel over uneven ground that is the one thing the UK and the EU always over look, One thing that does bother me is the heavy Hitch weight due to the Axles being too far back I think in the EU and UK they have a limit of about 135-150 KGs hitch weight, which is stupid when you consider my SUV "4x4" can Tow a 6200Lbs Trailer WTG Princess Craft for doing it right.

You should mention if you opt for the microwave convection oven instead of the propane oven you get extra overhead storage where the regular microwave is.

Great presentation, love this trailer for the most part. 2 negatives: no kitchen counter, curtain room separation is a no no at this price point. At least figure out how to pocket door!

Having the kitchen in the back places lot of weight behind to axles.How does it tow w/o anti sway?
We do tow these without sway control from time to time to show them off at different events and venues. They tow fine behind tow vehicles that are well within their towing capacities. We do, however, recommend weight distribution for these trailers for every purchaser. That little bit of extra comfort and assurance goes a long way in making long driving days more enjoyable.
2285. I know 22 means 22 Ft. long, but what does the 85 mean?

No covers for the sink? Very strange. First time I've seen no covers for extra prep room. I agree with the poster below that there should be a door for bedroom. I don't know what they were thinking putting a curtain there.

Does lance make a trailer that sleeps 7 ?
Good job PJ, however, fridge size would be nice on every video, backsplash behind anything should go the entire width and then some of an item, and last, but not least. I think it would be great if the walk through was more fluid and not interrupted. Let's see all the angles please. The following are for those that order these things: how about mentioning these cheap looking finishes to the manufacturers? If I were a buyer, I would not have accepted those back splashes, etc.

That's not a good idea to have electrical near the stove. Or under the Oven.
I think you did a great job. But lots of women are short. The microwave is so high that you couldn't put a bowl of hot soup in without getting a step stool.
