Tabilo became nervous on the tie break, played very passive and Zverev took his chance. The experience prevailed this time.
Yeah you can tell the change in mental power, it was drained.
Tabilo needs to rewatch that breaker. You can see his whole body language change, even inbetween points, not firing himself up anymore. Zverev starts off with a double fault, and Tabilo hoped he would hand it to him, just pushing the ball back, staying completely upright and not moving his feet at all.
He was exhausted, you can say that before the 2nd set tiebreak. After that, he was just looking for Zverev unforced errors
@@fautless yeah he was not used to playing long rallies since it*s not his game. it is, however, what Zverev does for a living.
He really was, just thinking those words myself. Just waited for Zverev to make mistakes rather than taking the game to him..
Tabilo played hell in the first 2 sets, giving no rhythm to Zed. However Tabilo folded in the third, still one hell of a week for him.
He will be interesting to keep an eye on in days to come
Nahh just a week
@@Wolverine168True, that was the last achievement of his career for sure
He poo in his pant on the tie-break he could ne more aggresive
Yes but I knew from the first time that if zverev could take the second set tiebreaker he would win the match. My mind doesn't disappoint me easily.
I don't think he will do much in the RG, these tennis players are pure momentary luck and that's it. Believe me, he goes to RG and gets eliminated in the first rounds, I bet so!
What a comeback from Zverev after losing the first set !
Tabilo missed his chances in the tiebreak but great week for him !
Very lucky for Zverev. Tabilo should have continued to play so aggressively.
@@LKRNCKVery lucky of tabilo to play semi final
@@evan3087 Hell no 😂
@@evan3087 lucky for tabilo? get out of here virgin kid
Tabilo had a great run this tourney. Hopefully he can keep going at this level and improve as time goes on. He is very talented already.
Seems like the mental strength of Zverev has improved a lot.
Il tape..il tape..il tape..
it is only good when it doesn't matter, i wouldn't trust him to hold up on a GS final until i see it :D
He'll need it for his court hearing
Con Tabilo, sì.
Tabilo was the discovery of the tournament. No shame in this loss. He lost to a better player and he arrived on the big stage with a marquee statement. If he continues this form he is going to be big time
Nole relax, it's not the bottle that injured you, it's Tabilo good play.
Zverev experience at this level make the difference
Third set one way
Never write off a champ. Well done Zverev. 🚀
Tabillo played like the prime Alcaraz on the first set.
Tabilo had a great tournament. And was in this one. I never knew him before but it was a pleasure to watch his run. He is better than #32.
Zverev stayed cool and his fitness seems very good. Quality win.
Alejandro was really a boss during this week ... Tabilo boss
What a marvellous comeback from my favorite tennis competitor Alexander Zverev. The experience, mental strength and professionalism of Zverev were at the foreground. That's why it broadly enabled him to maintainnhis vast supremacy and wide dominance on the court against Tabilo. Massive congrats to ZVEREV!
I guess his Ranking was finally justified. What a comeback by Zverev but this Tablio kid has really impressed. Hope he can continue this momentum at Roland Garros. Will be fun to watch. Love his crushing forehand and drop shots.
Two times ATP-Finals winner, Olympic Gold, several Masters titles. I would say he did more than enough to just his ranking. Unfortunately for a Grand-Slam title he lacks the physical ability to regenerate enough because of his diabetes.
I don’t think Zverev ever put that much effort into beating anybody else
Against Rafa at Roland-Garros yes...
@@doudou3392 Don't remind us ..
Except his girlfriend
@@duncan3932 🤣 good point
Have you seen every single match from zverev?
Zverev fighting for his life damn!
Once his confidence was broken, Tabilo crumbled
Same thing happened after losing the second tiebreak against Dimitrov in Miami. Hopefully Tabilo learns from these experiences
Boy Tabilo gave it everything in those first 2 sets. You can see at roughly 5/5 he was gassed and had nothing left.
I'm personally not sure he was gassed. It's not a best of 5 after all... idk, I think it's just as likely the nerves got to him, he was worried about going for big shots and making an error and ended up playing too passively. But who knows?!
@@jfr1995 he was definitely out of gass in the third
@@Bakert112He definitely made multiple errors hitting the net especially 😅 his drop shots didn’t work well either. So out of endurance is a silly reason
@@evan3087 yes it does matter missing one step to be in the perfect position can make all the difference.
@@Bakert112 that’s his fault to not be. Just like Zverev couldn’t be and lost first set. Duh
Tabilo is going to improve physically speaking, this is how Zverev won this match..
Zverev to win Rome !
Please not 😢
That was a remarkable combat!
I hope Zverev gets enough rest for the final on Sunday!
You mean for his court date May 31st.
Yeeeesssss!!!! Wow, after the first set I couldnt believe what I saw. But at the end Sascha got it!!! Get your first title this year Sascha!!!
🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱.
Vamos Jarry
😂
He's Russian. He just plays for Germany.
Its a shame for Tabilo hopefully he can carry this form on!
Yes he will
Bravo Zverev 👏 good luck in the final.
OMG Tabilo tightened up in the tie break! He stopped grunting and stopped taking risks!
Playing passive at the end of the second set is what cost Tabilo here. Overall though, he played great tennis this week. Had he played the same level here as he he did in the titebreaks against Khachanov, he would've had the upper hand. Experience is a great teacher, looking forward to seeing him learn from this.
that final serve was insane
Awesome play guys and a job well done Zverev and let's keep up this momentum. 💪👍🏽👏🤝
Okay, Zverev fought back really well. But the big story is that we have a new top 10 player who can shake things up
For a moment I thought Sasha was going to lose the game. Great week for Tabilo I hope we can see him more often playing like this but he's getting closer & closer to win a gran slam
Well done Sascha, what a comeback!
This is why Zverev is a top 5 player in the world. 🎉
Alles Gute, Alex 😃 ¡Magnífico torneo, Ale! 🙌🏼
Tabilo had a great run, considering that most people would've thought he would lose immediately the next round after defeating Novak. If he keeps this level, he should make a deep run at RG24. Could be really exciting 😁
Great Game!
Tabilo started playing Zverev's game rather than his own. He has a lot of talent and I'm sure we'll see more of him in later stages of future tournaments.
Aguante Tabilo, hizo un gran partido.
Tabilo has some game! Lefty with a killer drop shot. Looking forward to seeing him play again. Glad to see Sascha in a final.
Wow, what a match!
im revisiting this match after the final and i still dont bealive it. Tabilo complety dominate Zverev until the 2 0 in the tiebreak. Tabilo has an enormous potencial, if he plays evey point like he do vs Djokovic and Zverev, he will reach the top 15 this year. Vamos Jano la ctm
Zverev has staying power. He can rally as long as it takes.
What a great run for Tabilo. He came out swinging in the 1st set but then seemed to have lost his focus and aggression. He had many times he was in control and should've used his amazing drop shots for winners but decided to keep the rally going. Hat's off to Zverev for staying consistent.
Grande tabilo😢😞 distee tu mejor esfuerzo
Gracias
Que bien😂😂
Zverev was so smart and patient. I don't like his style, but he kind of made that Tabilo played the same game style, and lost.
What a nail biter, Tabilo played fantastic 1st set. However, Sascha let the lion out during the tie brake, and then the lion roared. 🦁👍🏻💪
It seemed like in the second half of the 2nd set, Tabilo stopped played aggressively and was just hitting the ball over the net, hoping Zverev would just miss. I could tell right then that he was gonna lose.
Tabilo's name will be remembered...He's a great player with lots of potential.
The chokemaster proved us wrong this time 😂, well done Sascha
I feel you :)
Zverev looks ready for RG.
pickin' Zverev to win his first Slam in Paris...
Congratulations to Zverev, but I don't find the game nearly as exciting when it's so much about the big serve.
Zverev was a very determined player against a guy that is red hot this tournament. He can really compete when he commits.
Tabilo was really incredible for the first two sets. I've rarely seen a play like this. Zverev could have won a match, but he'll never be number one, or win slams. I bet that this Chilean boy will have many surprises in store
I thought Tabs had it locked up there for a sec… well… hopefully he does well at Roland Garros.
Solid recovery from Zverev after losing the first set conclusively! Tabilo has had a dream tournament and will take away a lot of confidence from it! Looking forward to the final now! 😊
This begging for the crowd’s adoration is getting to be a bit tasteless, for me anyway. Too bad there’s not a “skip adoration” button.
It's your opinion for it's "Zverev". Especially Alcatraz and Rune (but not only) do it the same way. Does it bother you then too?
Yes, Zverev crossed my threshold! I’ve not yet seen others engage to the same extent. :)
Zeverev at his best✨
Grande Tabilo 🇨🇱 orgullo nacional
Tabilo definitely tensend up, big time starting in that tiebreak! So passively in his footwork, body upright, way less pace! Zverev took advantage of that! Zverev is no stranger to playing passively as well! Although here i think experience won him the match.. great week for Tabilo!
Congrats Zverev! But im not adding the title to his name just yet! He didn't play that great, against Jarry would be my bet, he can not afford himself to play passively, or he will get punished..
Against Paul, i see more possibilities for Zverev, although Tommy can play! His net game is also more then decent and probably good against Zverev, since he stays back allot..
Lets go Sascha! 💜💜
Man, I thought Zverev was done after the first set. He simply had no answer to Tabilo. However, in tennis it's not over until it's over.
Well deserved victory. He showed stamina and solid mental stability in the toughest moments.
What a choke for tabilo
Zverev RG Champ 2024.
This Tabilo guy is an immediate top-20 guy, with a clear path to top 15, just about the level of the Americans (Fritz, Paul, Shelton). The Djokovic win was not just Djoko playing poorly, Tabilo is a real talent. But man has Zverev looked good for the past year or so, glad to see he's completely over the FO injury a couple years back. Def a top contender for the FO title this year, along with top clay guys like Stef, Ruud, and the top 3 guys even if out of form (Novak) or injured (Alcaraz, Sinner)...or, last but not least, the nearly retired clay king (Nadal).
Congrats Zverev! Watch out for Tabilo!🌈
Wait why is the video locked at 480p?
360 for me. Its because it was just uploaded
for me it's locked at 360p
you are so lucky
1080 now
Grande Tabilo!!!
👍👍🇨🇱
It was a big mistake for Tabilo to put clothes back on third set.
And this is an instance of Tabilo lacking a little bit of confidence.
He's never been in a position like this before and he should be very proud of the week he had but his opponent has far more experience in these type of situations and that's why he won.
He literally had the opportunity to make as much money winning this as he has his whole career in the last 4 years That's very daunting and it's very natural to have nerves and maybe next time he'll play a little differently.
Carlos Alcaraz had nerves against Novak at the French Open semifinal and lost 2 months later he kicked his ass on his worst surface and his opponent's best.
That's Dennis.
it'll be remembered if Tabilo win this tournament. playing the best of his life(godmode)
But he just lost
Props to highlights editors who finally figured out they don’t need to show both serves on a double fault. I’ve seen highlights 2 minutes long and over 20 seconds would be for a double fault…
Vamos JARRY 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
The Lion roars back!
Zverev wining it all😊❤
I will never understand how come in a professional sport someone demolishes another player, being incredibly superior and winning 6-1, and then throws the match away. If betting sites were banned (as they should), individual sports would flourish and be interesting again
mental weakness.
Jawohl Zverev 😊👍🇩🇪
Shows that tennis isn't only physical, but mental.
RG 24 Zverev is huge favorite! Any potential threat ? Rublev, Tsitsipas ? no one is consistent!
Tsisipas is better
If zverev isn’t tired after this tournament the favourite are him and Tsitsipas
What about Alcaraz and Sinner? You think they are no threat cause they missed 1, 2 tournaments? I guess we will find out but at least one of the two i think will be around the title.
@@yannickcolot2319 He has over a week to recover. If that isnt enough, he wouldnt be a contender anyway for RG.
There's rumours sinner is out. Both of them are very injury prone especially before this tournament. I would bet on zverev or tsitsipas@@Bhavyo
damn. i was hoping for an all Chile final.
Man so glad to see Tabilo pushed dat Novak win all the way to semis and gave as good as he got!
Zverev really had to *BEAT* him!
Well done Tabilo!
Helluva tournament.
Great run for Tabilo. Too bad he didn’t keep rolling the dice with aggression in the tiebreak. 3:29 you see him rolling rally balls off the back foot waiting for Zverev to miss. Zverev wont beat himself. Well, next is Paris. Let’s see how far he can get there. Great to see him get confidence and top 10 wins
Gut gespielt Zverev ! 👏👏👏
why is the video slowed down?
It's so funny to see Zverev celebrating after taking the 2nd set, as if he won the match already. Great comeback! Good run for Tabilo
Or perhaps you don't read minds and misunderstand the celebration. It seemed perfectly natural to me to celebrate coming through a tight tie-break and extending the match.
@@zweigackroyd7301 We both understand the motivation for his celebration, I just found it funny and entertaining. Perhaps you shouldn't read too much into comments and make the wrong assumptions. Enjoy your day lol
Typical germany I dont like it
@@stratuspei9405 In English in this context, "funny" is a strange word to express what you have now described. Here it means strange or out of place, not entertaining. I'm reading into the comment what is there in the language used for posting.
@@excalibur9545 Coming from a guy who doesn't grasp punctuation or grammar... 🤣
Zverev might have his best chance to finally win a slam at the upcoming French Open. Novak seems to be out of form, Rafa is probably to old to be competitive for a bo5 match, Sinner has hip problems, Alcaraz has arm problems and Rublev ans Tsitsipas seem to be completely inconsistent. Besides that also Ruud is out of form.
His only threat could be Alcaraz if he recovers well and Novak, because well... it's Novak after all
Looks good, but Zverev can also lose in the first week without a problem. Would be cruel though, cause it may take a loooong time still such a chance comes again.
@@Bhavyo True. This year the French are incredibly open. Maybe even someone like Rune or Baez comes up fire and goes on to win the tournament.
A huge upset is very much possible
I think novak wins french if he plays anywhere near his best@@maximilianschulz6524
Top player mental strength. That's usually the divider, when nearly everyone can cream the ball now.
