    thank you for the recommendation.
ı would like to know if you had searched for the differences in between formlabs printer (formlabs.com/3d-printers/form-2/) and microplus ?

      Good question!
Not only have we looked at the stat differences but we also use a Form 2 3D printer here in the lab. The Form 2 is a great 3D printer, but the main reason we prefer the the Microplus XL for most jobs is speed. The Form 2 uses a laser to expose the print material so it must draw each layer gradually. While the Microplus XL uses a form of DLP, which exposes the entire layer at the same time. That means the print time on the Microplus XL is not affected by the print volume, while the Form 2 takes a bit longer to print larger objects. Oral Arts is a high volume lab, so the difference in print time makes a big difference to us.

Hi there, we are really eager to purchase a 3D printer for the sole purpose of printing crowns/ copings and bridge frameworks for casting. We were looking at the envisiontec micro advantage OR the form2. Would you say the form 2 is capable of printing and furthermore casting crowns etc accurately enough?
    Would love your opinion.
    Many thanks
    Jo

      Hey Joe,
Yes the Form 2 can do that! The only reason we've moved away from the Form 2 is speed.

Hi, thanks for your reply! Do you experience any porosity In your metal (non precious/ precious) once it’s cast and what resin do you use for printing?
      Thanks in advance
