Beautiful trees. You made it easy to follow by breaking it down to geometric shapes. As I am sitting on my porch, I can actually notice the general shape of the neighborhood trees rather than a specific individual shape. Never have looked at trees that way. Makes more sense for painting them now. Thank you!! Your videos are always awesome.
Just need to tell you how much I’m loving my brushes! When I first got them, I was really questioning why the large size 12, then the 2 smaller rounds. Now, I love that large 12. I’ll start a painting thinking I’m only going to do the sky with it, then I end up using it for most of the painting! The tip is so sharp on it, you can use it even for details! Great set!
I have been trying paint trees in watercolour for over 20 years (I am by no means a watercolour artist yet like to dabble) but this is the first tutorial that has really resonated with me. Thanks so, so much.
Thank you! It really helped me to hear about how I should make one side lighter, and properly using tone. My trees were looking really flat before! Thanks :) 2 weeks into my watercolour journey
I am new to watercolor painting, and your videos have been so helpful. They’re easy to follow. You really show the basics of you know where to start and I have saved everyone of them. Thank you so much.
My dad’s always telling me to think of things as just basic shapes but seeing how you used that concept to paint your trees it finally clicked! I might be able to actually paint trees now! I’m excited to go home and try this!
Thank you so much! This is really giving me the tools to complete the trees I asked about in your FB suggestions on what we wanted to learn. I’m looking forward to your book.
Very nice to see the beautiful trees! I was very inspired and try to draw it on my own. I used to draw landscapes but struggeling with trees sometimes. It's more the regular shape and the correct shadow, that they look more 3d. Your trees was easy and quite cute. Thank you alot!
hello! Emma, please tell me what brand of paint brushes you have , thanks in advance. You are young and beautiful, you have wonderful work. Your lessons are very helpful and interesting. sorry i don't know english. Всего доброго🌸
So, I have an inexpensive but heavy watercolor paper and a decently-reviewed but inexpensive watercolor palette, and this just... immediately turns into one big smeary puddle for me? Like it doesn't keep any of that sense of clear highs/mids/lows in the colors by the time it's dried? It doesn't look completely terrible, but it doesn't look like yours. It would be nice if the beginner tutorials used beginner-level supplies, the paper here especially is stuff I can't justify spending on at my current skill level.

Beautiful trees Emma. You make it look do easy, yet fun . I really learn from you!!!Are your Craftamo brushes the same as your Princeto Snap brushes??
They’re not the same brushes. They’re pretty different. You can check out some demos I done of them on my channel

Hi Emma, I’m excited to give this a try. Question, are you using the hot or cold pressed Etchr Sketchbook in this video?
i didnt catch what color the trunk on the tree was in terms of the color you first used. Thanks emma
For the green trees I used burnt umber. The yellow one I used a light wash of black
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Some one from 2024 😂
Oh my gosh, these are terrible instructions. For the leaves, is that round, cat tongue? Is it wet on wet? Are you using the tip and dab?
I was good until the music started. Bye.
please less talking and more doing.
