Hi Eddie nice to see you in Padley Gorge once again and capturing some different compositions. It was also great to see a photo of my favourite tree at The Roaches. I'm definitely long overdue another visit to that location especially being only 50 mins away 😊 I can't believe the amount of stuff you've lost or broken 😮
Great video. You seem to have included more video footage than usual which was great and set the mood. Dare I say a cinematic master piece. Please sir can we have some more 😎
Cheers Mark, the amount of footage generally remains the product of time/photography. Sometimes I can get a lot, sometimes a little. I have the next Vlog in the editing suite right now and there's not as much footage available but I think it will give you all a bit of entertainment and some lovely views.
I loved the “writhing” trees, it looks like something one would see in a fairy tale story. I loved the waterfall at 19:25 too. I liked the tree at the end too with it a bit off center. 👍
Cheers Ash, things just catch my eye, more often than not the ‘character’ in any given scene is readily apparent to most people and so long as you use the basic ‘rules’ of composition for most things you can capture something. Processing only plays a big part if you want it too. Glad you find them calming. That’s what I like in other UA-camr videos. I aim for annoying with mine and then run from there :)
As always your videos never fail to entertain, personally I love your self-depreciation style . You come across as a modest sort of bloke who actually knows what he is talking about and get the point across in a layman's type of 'wanky' language. (Love that word, come on Oxford English dictionary, it needs including ) Padley never fails to give something to photographers personally I might have gone wider on the photo you too and shown the calmer pool of water just above the bit you showed just as a bit of a contrast., but I'm just an amateur .
Cheers Chris, I have so many shots of that stretch of Burbage, you are absolutely right about the different sections having their own appeal. I did struggle with few of the more level parts of the brook that I tried to shoot and that shows that you can’t win em all. However, this is why it’s great to collaborate with other photographers, regardless of what they feel their skill level is as you will often see compositions that you had not spotted.

My ability to lose things is considered a superpower among people who know me well. Makes an already taxing hobby quite expensive.

Yep. Definitely boxes 😊
:)
@@EddieSkelson One day I might bump into you in the Peak District but I hope your habit of losing gear isn't contagious.
Johnny and Craig have never lost a thing... I think you will be safe 😀
Great vlog Eddie, really enjoyed that. Some superb Padley shots and the Roaches tree shots are brilliant. Look forward to the next one 👍
Cheers Drew, and thanks for the location info!
definitely bee hives Eddie, great video as usual.
Cheers James. I reckon they are sealed for the winter?
yeah looks that way Eddie, as you go over the Strines from Langset there are quite a few hives that look like these.

Thanks Dave, I did some iPhone shots so I’ll put them up on Facebook/Insta
Find it good how you spot these photos and the potential they have. Also, I find your videos really calming.

Lovely video Eddie. You managed to get some great shots considering there’s not a lot of colour about.
Thanks Dave, Padley Gorge tends to smile upon the persistent :)
Amazon collection points?…😂❤
Amazon make a mint out of me, although the new gear I have incoming was NOT from Mr Bezos! Where possible I'll support the smaller guys.
