My computer showed me a beautiful photo of Fanal Forest upon starting up today, so I had to Google it, and luckily it showed me your wonderful video! I'm so glad I was led to your channel. I will have to watch the rest of the Madeira playlist, thank you.
Hello there zombiiesque, how nice of you to drop by and connect, we do appreciate that and hope to bring you many more from this special island (we’re there right now in fact doing that very thing). All the best to you.

Thanks Mike & Yvonne ☺ Great to see you back on the Pearl & hopefully your views will once again will bring you to the top of the walking tour videos hit parade, deservedly so! I was in Fanal during an afternoon last April & the blasted fog rolled in ruining my drone shots as I couldn't see where it was going lol! No I was hoping for the mist & was lucky to get it as I heard you tend to get it early morning & I'm more of a lunchtime riser! I'd have loved to have seen Porto Moniz though from there. I also drove the same route as you over Paul de Serra en route to Funchal, stopping for probably the best poncha on the island at Taverna Real Da Poncha in Serra de Agua at €3 a pop! Was the lady in your company a guide or friend & when was this filmed please? Have a truly beautiful week my friends 🤗
Hey Rue, you were lucky to get the fabled mist - everyone yearns for those dreamy shots. Will we be seeing them in a video soon? It is a great drive over the plateau isn’t it? So unlike every other part of the island. We’ve never tried that taverna for Poncha, although have heard it’s famous. Next time we’re over, we’ll have to indulge (purely for research purposes of course.) We were lucky to have such a lovely guide on this walk - it was an organised walk, and we weren’t expecting to film, but luckily we had our camera with us, and made the most of it. Looking forward to the rest of your Madeira trip…
@@LivingWalks My Fanal vlog will be up in a few weeks as I'm releasing one a week every Sunday at 9pm as a live premiere. You'll see a sneak preview of Fanal, albeit it for a couple of seconds in the forthcoming scenes section at the end of my Madeira 2023 vlog series Part 1, so no skipping through to peek lol! 🤣😜 I've read quite a few mixed reviews about that poncha bar, the owner appears to be contrary to say the least so I must have got him on a good day as he allowed me to film! Have a great weekend my friends 🤗
We have so many more Madeira walks right here: Madeira: ua-cam.com/play/PLIkjgJL-xdWRa28nGelqryjQbFL7BA1_c.html
What a truly special place.
I can’t disagree with that RBS!
Blimey....that looks completely different to everything else you've shown us about the island. Thanks for sharing chaps!
Hello there BIAF, yes it’s a very different landscape in many ways and we enjoyed it for that reason. Pleased to bring it to you.
Lovely...Good to see more of Madeira outside Funchal👍
Glad you thought so, LY&M, plan to bring you many more.
