This is so cool to see regular folks learning the sport and enjoying it - sometimes we get used to all this jumping and shredding by pro riders and we can't relate. So glad I found this channel - at least I know there are others out there also on the learning curve with their partners and enjoying/learning the sport despite the slow speed crashes/dismounts/ejects. More power to you both - maybe we'll see you out on the trails someday!
So the fastest strava time ever for full lava flow is 9:52 seconds with someone averaging 21 MPH, out of 2100+ riders who've recorded a strava time. I rode it decent fast and it took me 12 mins. Most people should expect 12-16 mins for their sustained descent. So what parts of the ride did you trim in your full-run video of lava flow? The video jumps sometimes, and it looks like it is also accelerated at 1.5 or 2X speed sometimes.
Nothing is sped up, but yes we cut a few of the slower sections. She's also very new and has to break every once in a while on longer runs so obviously cut them as well
