great review, thanks guys. Heading down in August. Hopefully Blue trails are pointing downhill. I rode there a couple years ago could not believe how much pedaling I had to do. Which sucks on a downhill bike.
B Franco The slash is an absolute beast and it can take whatever you throw at it. light and on 29” wheels the slash is fast and surprisingly really playful. i ride at bachelor 3 days out of the week and the slash is always my go to. never take my DH bike there really. Village bike and ski in sun river just 25 mins from bachelor is an awesome shop with great people that know what they are doing;)
40 minutes to bend? Which bend are you talking about? I went to bachelor every weekend last winter and the only time it took 40 minutes is in white out snow conditions. Being close to bend can be good and bad. Bend is a REI/ Whole Foods/ Subaru town so the people and vibe can be very elitist and snobby. I think deer valley is more laid back then bend.
Well, I guess you musta been lucky. We've heard plenty of people spend 1-1.5 hours to get there in winter. Based on your REI/Whole Foods/Subaru vibe, we're guessing your commute was about 15 minutes faster than ours since you probably stayed on the West Side aka "Yuppie" side of town. Sadly, the terrible traffic management of Bend will take us regular non-snobby folk from mid-town and the east side an extra few minutes to pass all the tourists who can't figure out roundabouts and drive 12mph to look at everything they drive past. Deer Valley was one of our first stops this summer, and if those are the two comparisons on laid back, we'll leave that one open for discussion...ha ha. Don't get us wrong though, Bend is certainly full of elite people with snobby attitudes and that's saying something 'cuz I moved here from LA! 😂
The Loam Wolf deer valley is a nice resort, you’re not going to get off cheap there. Deer valley used to be about the experience rather then the skiing, now with the new lifts they are upping the game in the terrain department. I’ve only been to deer valley in the winter, don’t know how it is in the summer. Park city in general is getting the same vibe as bend and boulder (even without a REI and Whole Foods), but at least in the winter people were more friendly. I will say people at bachelor are more friendly and considerate then in bend. Still, I’d rather goto Timberline. It sometimes took me longer then 40 minutes in white out conditions where I couldn’t see 2 feet in front of me and there were accidents to get to bachelor. I stayed at a hotel downtown for work. Early in the season it took me 20-30 minutes to get to bachelor, tourists and roundabouts included.
@@jakp8777 Deer Valley is beautiful and the offerings in the area are much more convenient than Bachelor. We actually went there earlier this summer for one of our first stops. Definitely not cheap! $300 for lunch for the 5 of us, no alcoholic drinks included. We're excited to go to Timerbline next summer and ride their new trails and park. Should be great to have another option here in the PNW to go ride. Maybe we'll see you on the lift!
Love Bachelor! For such a young park they have come a long way!
Yeah it's impressive for the short time they've been around. The last 2 years especially
Ya it is great and also loam wolf I recommend Cruz brewery
Alright! The local bike park!

Hey Dude I live in Bend Oregon and I go skiing a lot at Mount bachelor but I’ve never gone biking so I’ll try that

Didn’t know you guys were based in bend. Such a sick area!!
Glad to see someone in Oregon to show Oregon trails. Do you know anything closer to the nw coastal side just getting back into bikes it’s been a while

i’m literally going there tomorrow! it’s great for mtb!
Have fun!
One of the best things about Mt Bachelor is the drive up. We don't want a Vail or Aspen...
What trek bikes are you guys riding?
Love the reviews, small suggestion would be to add best bike shop/s in the area.
How do you like that Slash? Love that Miami Volt color.

Getting some shade here on the Westside of Bend! 🥵
@@nat29single Haha. Just deploy that built in sun canopy from the side of a nearby Sprinter!
