I like how you have many coops because I think it was much needed. I think chickens can be really mean. Love how the children are so involved with the farm. It's a good learning experience for them no matter what they do with their lives.

Waiting till warmer weather to finish it. Observing how the pond does this winter in case it freezes. It hasn't yet. That's what I want to see so I don't have to worry about them getting enough water in freezing weather.
@whitehouseonthehill your pond doesnt have any still water, does it? As long as the water (or most of it) it moving, it shouldnt freeze :D
Also, I've seen the size of your pond, holy crap, if they dont have enough water in it to drink (if it doesnt freeze) than damn they will be needing an entire lake xD
How much work do you still need to do on the aviary before its finished?
I love how the churken sits by the young ones coop, like he's guarding them 😅 although he has his own one he still chooses to sit by them 😊🙌

Everything is looking good despite the threatening winter weather. Glad to see Bamboo is happier. Hope you don't get to much snow and cold etc, its hard when you have animals you are responsible for you cannot just leave them and stay warm inside. I don't like winter so I like to think that spring and summer are on their way.❤

Wow, your farm is looking really good and you're thriving so well as to have horses now. I'd see how maybe transplanting some trees from somewhere else to get some shade and fruit trees going. You've done a really nice job. I guess you probably have a job outside of family farm and UA-cam in order to pay for it all.
Awesome video. But horse have winter coats and don’t need to be blanketed unless they are clipped (shaved). The snow and cold don’t bother them if they have a proper winter coat. It’s the wind mixed with the wet that can get them cold but you have awesome stalls for them to get out of the weather.

Love all the way from Afghanistan, I have been watching your videos for about a year and a half, and I love you guys. In Afghanistan people also love to raise animals and birds, and we are an agricultural country but the city life in big cities with small homes have destroyed our culture of having animals around but when you go to rural villages and areas those people live exactly like you but with fewer utilities!

This may be obvious but Stirling's rug with the neck cover, if you leave it folded back like it was in the clip and it rains the lining will soak and the rain will leech straight under the waterproof and down his back. Neck covers are great and a complete pain in the rear.

You know way more about it than I, but some of those chicken coops seem to lack ventilation. Maybe I missed it.
There are some open spots on the back end to allow airflow. But we need to protect them from the harsh winter air. There are definitely cracks where air gets in and out all around it, the metal roofing is pretty old and is not solid everywhere.

Love watching your channel. I used to have chickens but had to give them away as my husband was finding them too hard to look after and I work full time. It makes me so happy to see all your animals and hear your stories. Love your chickens, miss the sounds they make and those amazing fresh eggs.

Try breed "ayam katik/ayam serama" , thats what we call it in malaysia.. katik mean small... Meaning small chicken.. most breeder keep it cause by its beauty n cuteness ..

So for your new main flock, black copper marans rooster, I think you should either call him The Chief (reference to the Navy rank of Chief) The Admiral (again another Navy Rank reference) or The General (an Army rank reference).

I heard some wild horses have a habit of "knocking the chips of his hooves off on rocks" to file them. It would be interesting if domesticated horses could adopt the same behavior. My dogs barely need any trimming except for their 5th nail because they learned how to file their own nails on the concrete floor.
