USMLE.org has specific outline that lets us know what we are held accountable for which is where I pulled this topic. We will try and focus on those topics mentioned and not covered thus far. Hope it is helpful.
Came to watch this because I saw a question on this in NBME 30.I had no idea about it since I never saw even a single question on it in Uworld.Just want to say keep up the good work and thanks again and again for your generosity.I've sent you the NBME Question.
I saw this curve in my step 1 exam, was able to solve it with no confusion. Thank you so much for explaining it. The last two weeks of my preparation I mostly saw almost all of your videos. I really appreciate the time you are explaining the high yield topics and making it easier.
@@RandyNeilMD Thanks for the reply. Biostat was one of my weak areas. Your biostat videos were really beneficial for me. Those videos helped me to answer biostat questions in step 1.
Today I completed watchig all of your biostatistics playlist. It was handsdown an amazing experience. I really dont know here I would be without these today!!!. Thank you so much Dr Randy!!!. One personal request please make a video on all kinds of risks (Atributable risk, Absoulute risk reduction etc) specifically focussing on those!!!!!.
Umer, I'm glad the videos have been helpful. I think some of those topics are buried within some videos... I just don't recall which ones at this time.
@@RandyNeilMD Yes Dr. Randy!!! You’re right those topics are present in some of the initial videos of biostats but what I meant was; A video that primarily focuses on the risks in a way that all of them can be solved and differentiated with questions!!. Lately aside from Relative Risk, all other have been presenting in a very twisted way!! :(
Note for my future reference/revision. Step (a vertical line) = death. Longer vertical line: more likely censor occurred prior to that If censored (e.g. subject left the study) →study subject # reduces, →denominator of hazard rate reduces, →hazard rate increases, →survival rate decrease steeper (might observe some delay if censor happened over a period of time?)
WOW doc I didn't even know we had to do this for the step 1 exam because I haven't seen any source go over it. You rock!!!!! Thank you so much. I have a small request, can you please do a few videos on basic pharma that shows up in step 1 like Lineweaver-Burk plot and a little something on pharmacodynamics as well, just the basics? Will be forever grateful.
THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR CONTENT! You take the time to teach very well and all of this is so high yield! You are truly an inspiration to us all and your contributions to medical education is insurmountable
Thankyou so so much Dr.Neil ! All of your videos are amazing. My exam is in one week and I am binge watching your videos. I really appreciate the efforts you are taking to teach students like us . Thankyou Again.
u r an angel disguised as a youtuber sir. i saw this in my ck. and like always i binge watched ur channel 2 days before actual test. thank u so so much. awaiting results. fingers crossed. a sincere request sir, would u make videos about how to begin applications for match?
Thank you for the kind comment. I am not sure I am fully up to speed about the MACTH process in current time. It's now been 6-7 years since I started that process...
Your videos are really helpful. You just made Kaplan Meier curve less daunting. Thank you so much. Would you please do a video on Bradford hill criteria? grateful already. :)
Hi sir. At 13:38, you said the curve drops by 2/9 percent and you shoul have 9 sections remaining. Shouldnt it be 1/9% as we already accounted for the first person with MI at the first drop in the curve? And shouldnt there be 8 sections remaining as 2 people have had events out of 10? Thank you!
This is actually eliviating a lot of stress for me going into university! Question though. Is this considered biostats as well? Is everything you do biostats?
The hardest part of this is process is answering questions after a while of making the video... I hesitate to comment unless I go back and review... Usually, If I am wrong, multiple people will remind me... My very very first video had an error...and I still get reminded.
I saw this on my exam today and finally Done it with out any confusion ✅ thank you so much your genetic and communication videos helped so much

Dr Randy, if u don't mind can u please explain the phrase which is added to the new addition of FA 2022 Regarding ROC curve TIA
Thanks 🎉 Great 😃
Thanks
You are most welcome.
Isn't the median for group 1 around 70%?
median = middle point in the data set, which corresponds to 70% for group 1.
-Big fan!
@6:01
sir plz also upload vedio om ROC curve . got question on nbme 29 . it messed up all my concept about it. thank u

If they ask where data would be significant for both lines? how would I go about finding that answer
Thanks sir!

Is this curve also seen in step 2 co or just only step 1???
Plz what’s the brand of your pen :)
hello sir first of all thank you for your efforts. i want to ask shouldn't it be 1/9 rather 2/9? can you please explain. at 13mins 26seconds.
The hardest part of this is process is answering questions after a while of making the video... I hesitate to comment unless I go back and review... Usually, If I am wrong, multiple people will remind me... My very very first video had an error...and I still get reminded.
already sirrrr
are we expected to know this for step 2 ck?
I would approach it as everything in STEP 1 is fair game for STEP 2... But I haven't looked at the official outline of STEP 2 lately...
Along with my last question/comment, does USMLE Content Ouline book apply to biostats only?
Is this curve also high yield in Ck
Population pyramids plz!!!!!
Nida, Ha... If you insists. Give me about an hour...
@@RandyNeilMD Thank u so much!
Isn't this 1 out of 9 instead of 2 out of 9 in the censored data part
Yes. It's 1/9 which comes to 11%
Why are we saying 2/9 and 1/6 ?
😍😍👏👏🙏🙏
Thank you ... as always.
thank you so much
You are welcome.
