Thumbs for your clarity, I’m in the same boat as you. Been diagnosed since 10 years old, and have struggled with ADD/ADHD/Anxiety my whole life. Question 🙋♀️ I thought the Adderall Instant release was working great for you. What made you switch? I’m taking adderall IR 30-40 mg per day and like you said in your previous videos I like how it gives me more control of my dosage. I can take 20mg in morning and lower in evening 10-5mg I’m not working. It’s not perfect but definitely helps from prior diagnosis. Wishing you all the best on your journey. Your not alone!! ❤️🧠
Thank you for the support. It was my Dr's decision to switch me for 3 main reasons. 1. The shortage, I've had issues with refills. 2. She didn't like that I had to take the IR every 3-4 hrs 3. Because I said I was missing something, like the since of urgency. Things are going better. Stay tuned for updates and what mistakes I made with the Vyvanse. 😊
@@EnjoyingLifesJourney awesome!! Yes the adderall shortage is real.. I take generic and I did go through a couple of batches that weren’t effective but I talked with my pharmacist and she ordered Tevea the generic brand for adderall and it’s been great 👍
I can say the same regarding the Ritalin IR. Switched from 60mg of Ritalin to Vyvanse 40mg + some dexamphetamine IR recently. No engagement, no excitement, just a different mood and I can't say that it's a good mood almost all day. And for sure the strange thing of speaking or typing for me as well.

I’m on vyvanse and take 70mg. It sounds like the 30mg is too low of a dose for you and possibly go up to the 50mg. It’s an excellent medication once you get the right dosage. When you get evened out, you will feel and see the difference, be more on task, not scatter brained, and it will last in your system anywhere from 8-12 hours and you could have some insomnia at the beginning on a higher dose but that will go away when you get on a set schedule of the time when you take it.
My suggestion is to talk to your doctor about going up to 50mg. Also when you get on the right dose, you shouldn’t be hungry all the time. Give it time and it could be it just doesn’t work for your body and adderall is better for you. I couldn’t take adderall so as you already know some meds work for some and not for others.
I shouldn’t feel foggy at all and definitely try talking about increasing your dose.
I’m not sure about your copay but vyvanse does have a program if your copay is over a certain amount and you meet the financial guidelines then you can get it for free and then you renew it every year once they accept you. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

Thank you for sharing and the encouragement. The Vyvanse is working great for me now. I made the mistake of drinking Vit C while taking it. I'm doing good with 30-40mg, for now.

hello, i just took 30mg today for the first time ever, and idk i kinda feel calmer and stuff but doesn't really feel like i can focus and concentrate any better, I am 18 years old and never took any other medication, what would you recommend i do, i feel awkward contacting my psychiatrist because it has barely been a day, but it feels like nothing happened to me
I also had to switch from Dexedrine to Vyvanse due to the shortage. It's important to note that some dosage strengths may be more limited than others, so you would need to call and inquire. Vyvanse is not limited because it's a formulary drug. Additionally, I cannot speak for your insurance, but the brand name Adderall by Shire is generally considered the best, as the generic versions do not always meet the same standards. Moreover, everyone's response to stimulants varies, and some may require both the L and D isomers. For men, finding the appropriate dosage while avoiding sexual side effects can be a challenge.

Hi .. how is this now? Can you update us please.. i am also my second day with vivanse 30 mg and i really feel nothing. Still cant focus on my daily routine, thinking about food alot, and i feel so tired all the time
I'm taking 40mg now, and it is way better for me. I was so hungry and tired on 30mg Vyvanse mostly because I was coming off of 50mg Adderall. Keep a notebook and track everything, and share it with your Dr. Good luck on your journey.

My wife has adhd and this Adderall shortage sucks
It's hard I know. Hang in there and it might be worth your wife trying another medication that's not so high in demand.
