The lose your life to save your life principle is followed by all types of people. It says to find a cause outside of yourself that you consider to be worthy and give yourself to it and you will find fulfillment and purpose in life.
I think Jesus is saying to deny our self righteousness that is of the law and die to the law.
We pick up our crosses and follow him by being crucified with him in his death.
If we tried to save our lives we would perish because we'd die in our sins (ie loving our lives to the end)
But we deny our self righteousness and lose our lives for Jesus' name sake. The righteous one.
And if you don't "LOSE YOUR LIFE"? will you be saved? and are you WORKING?
Gal 2:20 " I have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who LIVE, BUT CHRIST WHO LIVES IN ME; and the life I now live in the flesh I LIVE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD...", so does Christ live in me if I walk in darkness? if I live after the flesh? or disobey his commandments? Will I be lost if CHRIST DOES NOT LIVE IN YOU? Do you have to LIVE YOUR LIFE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD? If I quit believing, do not LIVE BY FAITH, WILL I BE LOST?
Am I working or earning my salvation if I LIVE BY FAITH? How long must I LIVE BY FAITH? In a Gal 3:27 it says we PUT ON CHRIST, so if I walk in darkness, am I putting on Christ? walking after the flesh, am I putting on Christ? If I do not PUT ON CHRIST AM I SAVED??
Gal 4:19 " UNTIL CHRIST BE FORMED IN YOU", am I working to have Christ formed in me? If you walk in darkness, is Christ being formed in you? If Christ is not formed in me, will I be saved?
John 5:38 But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.
Matthew 11:25-30
25 At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have HIDDEN these things from the WISE and INTELLIGENT and have REVEALED them TO BABES. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.
Eternal Salvation Rest
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will GIVE you rest.
Discipleship “Yoke”
29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
@@AlvinFen And? you didn't answer, do you have to have his word ABIDING IN YOU? Do you have to "COME to Jesus that you may have life"?
@@DannyLoyd The Father has only revealed the Son to babes (Luke 10:20-22). One must be willing to hear and be taught by the Father in the Scriptures (John 6:44-45). Then He gives them to the Son, the Son speaks the command of eternal life the Father gave Him to speak (John 12:48-50). Believed a spiritual resurrection takes place he pass out of death and into life when he hears the word of the Son of God (John 5:24-25 24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who HEARS MY WORD and BELIEVES [in] HIM who sent Me HAS everlasting life, and SHALL NOT come into judgment, but HAS PASSED FROM DEATH INTO LIFE. 25 Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, AND NOW IS, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will LIVE.
Then the believer can either abide or not abide in the promise he has received. If he abides he is a disciple indeed (John 8:30-31).

Are you a sinner ?
When you sin , does that nullify a one time Acts 2:38 5 Part Performance Contract till death (Temporary/ Conditional/ Probationary life) , or does it Lose/Forfeit Everlasting Life ?
If Everlasting Life , how do you - Personally - get back Eternal/Everlasting/Endless/Forever/Irrevocable /Irreversible Life ...if indeed you had it to Begin with ?
Where is the re-acquiring of the Irrevocable, Irreversible , Everlasting , Eternal , Endless , Forever Gift - after it was Lost/Forfeited - found in Scripture ?
Are repentance (turning from all sins till death)/ working 24/7/365 Perpetually in the light/ Always Clothing and Feeding the Poor/Water Baptism ...in order to enter His Kingdom...found in Acts 2 ?
