Penny Lane - The Beatles (Isolated Tracks)

- This one was a bit of a doozy trying to figure out what instrument was what, but I think I have it down.
From what I read Penny Lane features about 5 different piano parts. One being a piano feed through a Vox amplifier to create a low trembling sound. Another being played at half speed then speed up. A honk-tonk piano, and various other piano overdubs.
Along with that there are a few Harmonium including the high pitched ringing.

I love how imperfect and human music was in the past. And even with imperfections they were perfect.
Greatest A and B side ever recorded
I adore listening to these isolated tracks. I get so many surprises and insights, especially listening to Ringo's drums and Paul's bass alone. Thank you for publishing these.
Love these isolated tracks
I wish George (or John, I can’t tell who’s playing the guitar since the guitar parts are so damned sparse) would have had a more prominent presence on the track as far as the guitar parts go. Not that I want it to be a hard rock song or anything like that, I just kind of wish the guitar parts were more “meaty” and just given more to do. But I’m a guitarist, so naturally that’s where my brain gravitates whenever I listen to rock (both more recent and older bands alike). Either way, this song is still damn near perfect anyway (it’s my favorite Beatles song).
i can't even hear guitars on it
@marlonennes1206 18:28 You can hear a chord being stabbed in a staccato sort of way. I'm not sure who's playing it, though. Between 18:21 - 18:28 I can hear it the clearest.
@@overjoyous thnx, i will try to listen
At 18:31 there is a clear mistake by a brass instrument. A little flat.
3:41 that trembling sound of the bass is beautiful
It's a great job
Amazing its all done on only 4 tracks.
It's impressive that you were able to single-track the vocals. Hearing it that way, I can make out that only John is on the harmony. I have long suspected that as I can't hear George in the mix at all. They should have given him a harmony part.
My theory is its Paul and George singing the harmonies and John goes in and says “skies i sit and”
@@ilovemusic7748 no way. You can hear John's signature rasp on the first "blue suburban skies". Now I don't really hear anyone else on harmony, but it's possible George jumped in on the last two choruses.
If you’ve ever tried to build an arrangement on 4 track analog your qualified to declare this impossible
*you're
"Bongos'star"...
A snare. That's it. Who does that?... it's all it needed
do you have the songs in 5.1 mix?
Yeah I have quite of few of them. I sourced the Love album, Abbey Road, All Things Must Pass, Let It Be, and the White Album by buying the disks and that was really expensive. I also found a good source online for some Yellow Submarine and Anthology 5.1 mixes.
@@isolatedstems :)
Is there a folder in which I can download these? It's getting annoying putting them in audacity and splitting and lining up all the tracks perfectly lol
I do have them available to my Patreons as the Beatle stems require more work than other stems I create.
@@isolatedstems I am a starving child and I am about to starve to death. Gootbye
@@ambientmoderI'll toss yah a bone here's the files to Penny Lane : drive.google.com/drive/folders/1HVEzYFkJhoTtW0KhKVezraee90hef0As?usp=sharing
could you try and do carry that weight at some point?
Sure, although I don't think it'll be any better than the other videos since I'll most likely source most of the isolated tracks from the rock band stems. But if I can make better stems I'll publish a video
