The Herbrand is a 193, it is drain plug wrench. often for automotive use. I am a plumber and have several in different sizes/brands. The value is $25-30. It appears that wrench value is more than you paid for the whole box. AWESOME!!

I found it in an old Herbrand catalog. Turns out I have the matching male drain plug wrench!

The S.K. Socket set was the first I bought when I bought my first car in high school. That was in 1972 and that set is still in my rollaway box. I used it a lot over the years and it still looks like new. Love the old toys you find.

Nice score . A mod I do with those B&D cordless screwdriver is swap out the NiCad battery with a LI ion battery and charger from one of those Vape devices with USB C charge port . I find them in parking lots all the time . They work well as the battery is 3.7 V and can kick out a fair bit of Current as they drive the heater element in the Vape . Big Clive channel did a good video on it

Geez was that Herbrand Plug Wrench designed in the USSR? Gotta be the most Utilitarian thing ever, surprised it didn't have a Hammer & Sickle on it, no artistic flair whatsoever.........The Dunlap Screwdriver was my favorite.

We had one of those Black and Decker electric screwdrivers when I was growing up. It was a good house tool for a few years, but when the battery stopped taking a good charge, all you could do is put it in the locked position and use it like a "Normal" screwdriver.

$20 is an unheard of price. You did very well with this purchase. Should keep you busy for a long time if you were to clean them all up.
You’re right with the Vice Grips. That knurled bolt does fit in the end of the handle. I have about 7 pairs so I’m very familiar with their workings.

This is an absolutely screaming deal. Around here the empty tool box alone would bring $20, never mind those good quality American tools. The Herbrand wrench is a multi tool intended for various recessed drain plugs, such as those found on transmission cases, rear ends etc. The last slip joint pliers in the video may be vintage Ford tool kit pliers. Not all Ford tools contracted out to independent manufacturers by Ford had the Ford script. It would make my day to make such a great garage sale discovery. Congratulations.

Stand that hammer up in a vice and put a few drops of linseed oil one the wood, keep doing that a couple of times a day for a week and the wood will swell back up and the head will be tight again.

20 bucks well spent.. U come away with some cool stuff.. I bought a bigger box from a guy needing some money.. Craftsman stuff and some extra goodies thrown in for 35 bucks..
Those manky stinky screwdrivers; can they be cleaned up and sprayed with polyurethane to keep from smelling?.. I've cleaned them up but never took it any further and the manky look and smell always returned... Well M.D. you have enough stuff to keep u busy for awhile...lol.. thx for sharing.. Take care...
