It's also worth mentioning that direct live streaming to UA-cam or Facebook is pretty easy too. I'm regularly using YT live streaming for all flights. Creating a "screen recording" but without disturbing telemetry. Then I'm downloading from YT the whole video. This makes me able to when in flight switch freely between photos and high resolution video capture 😂

you connect like you normally would with DJI Fly App, and then share your screen with PRISM
Excellent. But for us DJI Mini 3 pro owners, we'll have to use the RC controller that connects to the cellphone. As I still have mine from the Mini 2, I'm in luck!

Yes you can use it, it is what it is.
I just downloaded the Prism app and ran a test live stream, and it worked fine. I'm anxious to try it in conjunction with my DJI Mini 3. My question is audio. How do you handle audio since you have to plug the RC-N1 into the phone. There's no place to plug in a lavilier mic.
Very cool video how to but seriously signal loss at 50m is some new level of nonsense even if you're not pointing at the AC given you're in the middle of nowhere more or less

It shows the screen with or without UI if you can disable it. Not sure that is possible with DJI FLY App

sorry for being a bloody noob. but how does it work?
how does it stream the video from the camera to your phone?
since your phone is connected to another phone's wifi hotspot, it cant be a wifi connection between the drone and your phone. right?
bluetooth doesnt work for such a distance.
so what is it?
i wonder if it can be used for what i wanna do. i dont need a drone though, i need an action cam. hoping that this will work with other DJI action cams as well.
this is the setup i have in mind.
a bike trip. 3 mounts attatched to my bandle bar.
1. Phone A, which has mobile data. this phoen is streaming the video from the action cam to twitch. This phone also provides a Hotspot for phone B.
2. Phone B, which is logged into the hotspot that Phone A provides, has a Navigator App for the Bike Trip.
3. Action cam, which is somehow streaming its video to Phone A, so that Phone A can stream it to twitch, similar as you did in this video.
after days of research, this is the most promising thing i found so far. but i dont quite understand it yet, so i dont know if it works for my idea.
No the drone is connected with a cable so the wifi on the phone is free, I used to phones because I did not have a data plan in the phone I use for flying, but if you that you would not need a second phone
@TECH DRONE MEDIA wait. The drone has a cable from the RC to the phone? That's the first thing I thought about. but again, didn't find anything useful.
I tried (just for testing purposes) to connect my PC webcam to my phone, using an USB OTG adapter the phone detected and used the microphone inside the webcam. But did not use the camera itself (didn't try any special app to be honest. Just default camera app and twitch app)

Which audio stream is running into the live feed ?
OK, the PRISM App is capturing the audio from your phone I guess as I had watched the live feed from a week ago or so.
it's from the phone, you can hear in on the original stream you watched earlier. On this video I'm using an external recorder synced up in post

Thanks for the video. I definitely need to be able to screen mirror. Could I just cast my iPhone (which is in the controller) to a customer holding an iPad etc.? I have ordered the Mini 3 but haven't received it yet so can't test it yet, but surely you must. Any advice would be great! Keep up the great work!

A lot of pixelization when lifestreaming...btw...what was the reason of the signal lost with drone when streaming? Distance?...What is the normal safe max distance with control that you have been able to fly?
Not sure what happened I was maybe blocking the signal with my body shortly (normally not a problem)

that was a cool video, buddy... so, any idea what's up with the drifting? I've kind of had the same issue going on since the last Mini 2 firmware and app updates... I never had this issue with the previous updates... That 360 camera looked really good on this video, too... Really cool how you showed the take off and landing of the drone...
I would need to test more and yes the 360 opens up for some interesting possibilities

The interference while stream is something to be aware.
I was flying my mini 2 from my backyard and I was about 700 feet away and about 1000 feet in the air when all of a sudden my screen went black I automatically got up to see if I would get better signal but the thing is I was very close to my home point from where I took off and also super high up in the air so this seemed very odd I then waited to see if it would come back with return to home and after 10 minutes nothing happened so I proceeded to check what battery my controller was at and what battery the drone was at and it said the controller was at full battery and the drone was at 88 percent battery so then I went to the last known location and looked to see if the drone landed anywhere but I couldn’t find it so I gave my number to one of the people who lived near and about one week later then said they found it and everything seemed okay except for 2 propellers and the battery hatch broken and also a cracked frame I then tryed turning the drone on and I couldn’t get it to calibrate or move the gimbal up and down but I could still see through the screen and everything I tryed contacting DJI and still haven’t got a response it’s been a whole week.
This is seen before, have you updated for latest firmware and app

This doesn´t inspire confidence at all....occusync 1 on the old Mavic pro never gave this kind of problem...not even at great distance
I wonder how you legally flew higher than 400 feet above ground and how you could visually see the mini 2 from 700 feet away (or 1000 feet high) That may be why you lost it.
@@DonBrowne I was flying legally in my state you can pass 400 feet also the mini had a malfunction and they sent me a whole new mini 2 without any Cost
The app does not give me the screen cast option.

Hi sir,is the connection issue with mini 2 still persisting,I want to buy one
If you are referring to the control connectivity issue the answer is yes, however it is not impossible to deal with. It is good to know the direction from which you are flying in case you lose camera view amd get nervous and feel the need to fly back, but after 5 - 12 seconds the connection will be restored and image will be as smooth as always. What I mean is, its still worth it, I'm really happy with mine.
