jesus christ, this is pure gold. i have never seen a more packed but compact guide for a character before and i labbed over 40 characters in t7 with the help of YT videos and even written guides. the only one that comes close was a Lee guide written from a korean lee legend.

To be honest, i never doubted myself on maining bears since Tekken Tag 1 up to Tekken 5 and Tekken 6 to 7 and i am glad that Kuma is better in Tekken 8 and ai also appreciate you for putting such as detail tutorial for our main boy Kuma
Looking to transition from Kazumi. I don't know why I'm so curious now, Framewhisperer've sold it to me with the CH1 I guess, and the new huge low is so satisfying to land. And now there's way more to dig up. Love it. As a teacher -- that one looks like a hard hard work. Thank you.
I wish other characters guides were like this. Most are just going through command list and so arent "guides" per se. This actually has tips on what to use and how to use in situations. I play a 1/3 of the roster and this is probably the best guide ive seen so far.
QCF 2,2 can combo but its telegraphed in the higher ranks and will be blocked and launched. the combo is after hit, do UF2, then QCF 2,1. it's a big knowledge check in the low ranks.
It works on lower ranks. But theres too much speed difference from qcf2,1 and its never a combo. Plus launch on block. It should never work against a decent player, thats why i advice not to use it. 😖
Great guide, one question though, wasn't sit stance better in Tekken 7, since the low option was leading into a full combo? The low string now doesn't seem so threatening and is only on counterhit guaranteed.
No. The low was i25 and seeable and launchpunishable, sit2 was i21 a d also launchpunishable. The speed difference was too much for it ever to be a mixup. Sit is way less risk now for good reward. Both lows in sit do 22+ damage
Hi, this good looks pretty good, i just wanted to know of it is up to date or if there were any big changes to kuma since release since i wanna learn the character.
Even tho Panda is considered the worse. I still am gonna main her over kuma. The baby penguin skin sold me cuz they are my favorite animal :) But tbh i like the fact she gets a mix up off her heat smash. PandaNATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was one of those eagerly waiting for a guide. However even though it's probably very useful for many, I find myself not understanding a thing of whats going on, I don't know which combos are displayed on screen, if its the one you talked in the slide before or after it's just combo chains thrown at me .. I don't know maybe that's just me, but this feels very overwhelming and make me wanna find a more approachable main with less depth and so easier to understand guides. Game has become less and less fun as i'm unable to find easy to digest guides that could push me over dominator ranks
Thats unfortunate to read. This guide does not focus on combos. So you can ignore that. Also i recommend you to pause a sheet if its too overwhelming. Maybe it’s recommended to find a basics tekken guide and then come back to this whenever u know the ground rules of tekken? Makes it easier to understand. I dont think its a kuma problem youre having, more so a tekken problem. You could also join the discord. Hey idk 🤷

Yes this is up to date. Only the fuft d1+2 guardbreak got removed and the homing aspect of hbs f1+2
