Very good! Traveled a good distance there. Road noise and engine noise at high rpm are noticeable. Still he new Trax is a very attractive crossover in both looks and price for the utility it provides.
At 10:13 on the video shows its acceleration and it looks like around 9 seconds 0-60 mph (0-100) or a touch under 9 seconds. Not bad at all. Personally the 3 Cylinder is a plus for me! I have owned 3 Mitsubishi Mirages all purchased brand new - 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage ES CVT, 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE CVT, 2021 Mitsubishi Mirage SE CVT and they are 3 Cylinders without a Turbo and only 78 horsepower and 74 lb ft of torque so its several seconds slower to 60 mph than this. The Mirage is also much lighter but I love them and they do great in the city and on the highway driving so this with this Trax having a Turbo 3 cylinder and 137 horsepower and 162 lb ft of torque it will have no issues at all so dont let the 3 cylinder scare you. This this seems peppy! Good job GM and thanks for taking the risk using the smaller 3 cylinder it seems like a great fit for the Trax/Envista twins and has good acceleration and mpg and the use of a tried and true 6 speed automatic will really help reliability and maintenance cost as well. Love it! I really really like these and absolutely love the new 2024 Buick Envista which is the same vehicle underneath as the 2024 Chevy Trax but the Buick Envistas styling is gorgeous and way way more expensive looking than it is. I would definitely consider one of these!!! The 2024 Buick Envista Avenir in Ocean Blue or the 2024 Chevy Trax 2RS in Nitro Yellow
This and the Envista are the two best looking mini SUV's. I'd love to see the RS version with the 2.0 turbo, but that will never happen. I guess the final round of ICE vehicles will be 1 cylinder. 😂
I wish the infotainment screen was integrated within the dashboard, just like the Chevy Trailblazer. I would chose the 1RS trim, with the cloth seats, sunroof, and in fountain blue or yellow in color.
we gonna buy one or at least try and buy one, out the door 27 grand + taxes = 30 grand CANADIAN. this is amazing value for something BRAND NEW as we are paying 20 grand for something with 100,000 ( HYUNDIA ? ) where the engine can blow. At least we get 5 year warranrty. I hope this will be better than the 1.4 that was a a DOG.
It’s nice but there’s always something about a Chevy, that just screams maintenance. I don’t know if it’s the recycled plastic they use? Maybe it’s the fisher price bells and whistles? Or the very loud engine that you don’t want to hear 🤷♀️I had a Chevy Cavalier back in the early 90s and I still see that car, even within this 2024? What is that white SUV/crossover looking thing @ 8:33 ? Anyone know? NOW THATS NICE.
I just saw a comment from his nighttime drive in this vehicle from someone who has a 16' Cruze that has 250k on it, so they have to be somewhat reliable to get that many miles!
Thanks for the POV drive of the new Trax! Were you able to test the lane centering and adaptive cruise? How competant are the Trax's driver aids? Thanks!
It's great that they got rid of the CVT, but a 1.2L 3 cylinder using a turbo? Can the engine really withstand the turbo? I don't think the car is abandoning their older gens' unreliability anytime soon.
It's a handsome car, but I wish GM would improve their reliability. That transmission has been around for a decade and still has issues. As for the engine, it's going to beat itself to death. It's just the nature of a turbo engine, especially a tiny one.
"boomer talk" 90% of engine wear is start up. I used to rat bag hondas to red line all day. people who say 4 cylinders have to work harder never drove a v8 from 1960-2010, they usaully only lasted 150,000- 200,000 Km, while hondas toytotas lasted 500,000 km. the old v8s usaully have ring failure or something, event though they weren't pushed hard. ENGINES LIKE TO WORK AND MOST HUM NICE AT 3000 RPM, in the power band. they can run like this for millions of hours, its the starting and stopping they do not like. I imagine with 5000km oil changes a modern engine will last a long time. but who does that? nobody
For a cheap vehicle, it doesn’t look that bad. Not something I’d particularly buy, but they did a good job.
Define “cheap”?

I just bought an RS Trax, waiting for delivery. I enjoyed watching this, it was almost therapeutic? I'm excited for this. Great video, thanks!
Torcendo para que a Chevrolet traga esse carro aqui para o Brasil.

This looks great! I just wish they would've included an AWD option :(
Would have added a lot of extra weight to this car for this little 3 banger to handle

I would buy it ❤
Chevy did a nice job on the Trax
I have a24 1rs and a 252rs on the way his and hers mine will be black and hers is the white as this video fun to drive and sporty looks

Pretty cool but I prefer the analog gauges in the base trim to the digital ones on the higher trims. I believe the 1RS has them.
Yes 1RS has the analog gauges
I can’t wait to upgrade from my current trax (2019 LT FWD)
Yall should sue for them doing this to you 😂 I pick mine up on Tuesday ❤
For the price it seems impressive. Quality of a cheap Chevy though is very much in doubt for me.

I wonder if the cabin is quieter than the Trailblazer.
Is the trailblazer not quiet?
I doubt it since this is cheaper than the Trailblazer.
Sounds loud on this video.
It seems it do just fine on the highway . Very nice
It could be similar to trailblazer when I saw some early test drives from S. Korea. Assuming it as little bit louder than my buick encore gx.
Thanks for the POV drive of the new Trax! Were you able to test the lane centering and adaptive cruise? How competant are the Trax's driver aids? Thanks!
Its reactive. Which mean it pulls you back
@CKHD ah got it. Thank you. Glad they at least offer adaptive cruise!

I wonder what that message was that popped up in the driver information section at about 10:34 minute mark
Cruise control turned on
It says "wo hen xihuan BING CHILLING" and recommends checking out fast and furious 9.
Is the speedometer set to kilometers?
yes
Doesn't have the new chime?
what's the turbo lag like? is it struggling to go up hills?
No my mothers trailblazer with the same engine doesn’t go past 3000 rpm in the city and it barely goes above 3000 when it goes uphill. It’s a good car
