You are publishing this video about the right time, I’ve received a week ago a nvr and a nvr pro, will install those starting next year, so this is quite handy! Thanks man!
Forti is a great system for enterprise and business use. I personally would not use it in a home environment, but each to their own. Their are more flexible options for home use. I am speaking as someone who runs Forti in an enterprise envrionment.
Thank you for this video, I am trying to add a few new cameras to my system and got the reached limit warning. This was very helpful. I am very excited for your next video on how to migrate cameras from the existing protect over to the new UNVR without having to adopt them all again.
Yes, you can just connect the UNVR's ethernet port (on the back) to one of the Ethernet ports on the UDM pro or you can use a SFP cable from the UNVR to UDM.
Hi @KBTrainings, can you do a video about Fortigate A/P with connectivity and configuration to stack switches ? How was the connectivity and configuration suppose to be ? Is it need to use LACP between Fortigate and stack switches ? Or is there any other method ? The Fortigate will be as L3 VLAN and will be providing DHCP IP address to workstations that are connected to the stack switches. Thank you very much.
What changed 8 months ago from your other video were you switched from Fortigate to UniFi? Please explain the reasons why as I’m in the same predicament were I’m looking at switching from Fortinet to UniFi devices. I’ve used Fortinet for 8yrs now, but considering switch. Would love to know why you switched back.
I see. Reasons: 1. I like Fortinet 2. I started working for Fortinet 2 months ago, so I get free gear and licenses 🙂. UniFi is good too, but not as good as Fortinet.
@@KBTrainings ok, makes sense. Can you please explain the pros and cons of Ubiquiti compared to Fortinet in regards to which offered better security and stability. Fortinet IMO has a long way to go with their GUI, perhaps I would be happier if their GUI and ease of use was like what I’ve experienced so far with Ubiquity. The other is the cost of licensing.

Glad I could help 🙏🏽

Great video and presentation, thanks!
Do you need a rule on the FW to not inspect traffic from the NVR? When I am accessing mine remotely performance is poor. great video :)
Very nice Set..subscribed and thank you my friend
Could you create a video tutorial demonstrating the process of upgrading the firmware of a Cisco switch?
Will do. Stay tuned.
looking forward@@KBTrainings
sure!
could you do on a 4500 series switch. 😊
Why are you making the change from Unifi to Fortinet, isn’t that a downgrade?
Interesting question
This may be a dumb question but I was wondering if I have a UDM Pro acting as my router primarily, would I be able to connect the UNVR to it?
Yes, you can just connect the UNVR's ethernet port (on the back) to one of the Ethernet ports on the UDM pro or you can use a SFP cable from the UNVR to UDM.
