Some nice knives you got there. I am a collector of knives and have 150 switchblades in my collection. I recently obtained a 1950s picklock stiletto from Italy, which is what came before the swivel bolster locks which are most common now. With the picklocks, you actually have to pull the lock tab back with your finger and thumb to unlock the blade and close the knife. The swivel bolsters are a bit easier to operate. I have an orange paratrooper switchblade like the Camillus you have. Mine is from Schrade Walden.
You don’t like OTFs? I actually think they’re cool. Granted, they have a lot more moving parts and are more prone to failure than the side opening switchblades, but there are some pretty decent quality ones out there. The key is to not play with them so much. The less wear and tear you put on them, the longer they’ll last.
I have a gravity knife similar to that first one you showed. It’s from Japan. I’d love to find a German-style paratrooper gravity knife. I once saw an actual German one from WWII in an antique shop, but they wanted $600 for it! 🤯

$600 for an original is about right. They're scarce.

Been to Naples several times in the 60's. Lots of sailors bought switch blades to take home. Never saw the appeal.

Closest I’ve come to having a switchblade is my Benchmade 940 with that wrist flick open. I’ve just never wanted a knife with a spring inside of it. I don’t know enough about the long term reliability.

Odd that leftyville Oregon would pass such a sane law on knives.

They were banned from 1957 to the court finding in 1984, but then the legislature banned the "concealed carry" of them. How do you not conceal a pocket knife?

I believe that the federal switchblade law had an exemption for amputees - - individuals with only one arm.

Many states do, but the importation and transport was made illegal, not the possession. How one was supposed to possess what couldn't be acquired easily is another issue.

Pick up a SPyderco Valloton, and send it off to Butch and Rainy for a conversion to their Dual Fire knife.

Politicians love taking advantage of hysterical women to push through restrictive legislation. You would think that after prohibition people would have learned that ignoring the harridans was the best policy, but here we are.

Where I live the police and sheriff’s office sort of snickered at me when I called about knife carry laws. They had to look them up because they didn’t even know. When they found the answer they told me and also informed me that they were more concerned about firearms. Since then the laws here changed and can now carry a 1918 if I so desired. Pretty much all is legal except ballistic knives. That is 50 state illegal.

The legal officer at Indiana State Police said, and I quote, "Shoot, you can strap a machete on your hip for all we give a damn."

True devout Capitalist, you know the product is silly stupid and don't particularly like it, but people will give you money for it so you still sell them.
