  • My first video! Oh my goodness!! Hi, my name is Chilli, I am 18 years old and want to leave the busy city life for some off-grid farm life.
Here on UA-cam I am going to be sharing with you my journey to the farm. While also making some choice interviews/documentaries on some regenerative farmers around Australia.
If that's your kind of jazz then hopefully you follow me, and I will see you on the next video :)

Hi Chili, I'm 35 and share the same passion of owning my own farm land. I'm so glad that you're so clear about your goal at the age of just 18. I wish you best of luck. I'm your 283rd subscriber :)

Good luck! The world needs more smart farmers. Australia seems to have a lot going on in regen agriculture and permaculture.

Good work Chilli. You will get there I know. There are still pockets of land you can find to support your goals.

Wishing you luck with the channel and future farm purchase. I recommend making some shorts with your highest quality footage with trending music. You can speed up your exposure and gain subscribers as those tend to get promoted to thousands of viewers just hours after you post them.

All the best on your journey! Your potato video just popped up in my feed so looks like you're already getting good exposure. Jess at Roots and Refuge (she's a good one to follow) always talks about your 'waiting room' being your classroom. You already look so knowledgeable. I'm sure your dream of a farm isn't far off.

Hi Chilli, I'm 55 years old and have bought 32 acre retirement block out west so dry land farming and soil improvement will be high on my list. The truth is, at 18 years old you probably know more about farming than I do, so I admire your commitment and just knowing what you want to o at such a young age. Can you do a video about us where your interest in farming started and is it part of your upbringing etc? Good luck on your journey with both the farm and your UA-cam channel.

Love to see more of the semi-arid Australian lifestock farming techniques specially how they manage to build water resilient and drought proofing farming/farms.
    You've just gone international.

Excellent choice. . . We are what we eat.
If food comes from depleted soils, peoples health will suffer, so growing your own is the preferred method, using organic methods.
The key is healthy soil, from there u get healthy plants and from there u get healthy animals and people.
If I was in your position and wanting to start a farm, but didnt have enough money, first I would buy a van so I could travel and sleep in it.
Next I would find an organic farmer who wanted someone to assist. I wouldn't be asking for wages, only food to get started with, as I have a van.
The idea is to become an asset to that farmer. As time goes by and u like the people and location and as finances permit, the farmer may be able to pay u a wage.
Anyways if u have a van, u are free to leave at any time.
Building relationships is the key to building a successful career. Being honest in your dealings with people will enhance your reputation, and having a good reputation is like owning gold.

    Hi Chilli,
I share your farming and gardening passion. Me too I would like to set up a farm. I am interested in care farming to support people living in extreme poverty and people living with mental health conditions.
As you, I have challenges: funding and the fact that I live in Australia but the farm will be located in Africa.
I will follow you, see your progress and learn along.
Could you please make a video discussing about the difference between generative and permaculture farming ? Thanks in advance.
