My mother also opposed me getting a snake, but now that I moved and have two - she realized how much they meant to me and started fighting to get comfortable around them. She can still be a bit skittish, but she's held both my hognose and ball python comfortably

I have always had a passion for reptiles, my mom is terrified of them but she would still gladly take me to reptile expos and stuff. I felt at home holding the Boas and Iguanas and Tegus. I love my dogs and my cats, but sometimes I want to feel specific textures mixed with a fidget. After 30 years, I finally have my very first reptile, my ball python Udon. He is very relaxed, he loves to crawl on my face and he also just vibes in my arms while we watch youtube.
This is my favourite reptile channel ever and it's so underrated! These videos are so helpful for me, I've always loved reptiles!! The only one I've ever owned was a bearded dragon but I really loved her. I hope one day to get a snake or something
