Watching Paul finish off the bulb planting with compost, I can totally understand the damsels inquiring as to his relationship status. BTW I am 76 years old but not dead yet!
I think this has been Laura’s best year. Even though there are always projects going on it’s been a simpler year. A slower pace so to speak. If that’s possible for her. Lol. Her and Aaron both seem to be more relaxed and finally soaking in all the hard work from the last few years. Everything is beautiful.
I was feeling the same way about the recent videos. There's a time to sow and a time to grow and now it's time to let them be and relax a little. Things are falling into place and maturing and I think they are too as a family, so that's nice to see.
You are sooooo right! Perfect match ! How he and Bethany lighted the driveway maples says a lot, too. I have a feeling they know we all stand in awe of them!
Laura is it time for lemonade, lemon drizzle cake, lemon meringue pie, or lemon chicken? Happy to see your trees loving the greenhouse. Christmas décor is looking homey and peaceful. By far the best tree is the one Benjamin made for you that gave me all the feels. 🍋🍋🎄🎄🍋🍋
I get so jealous watching how strong Laura is! I'm 77 with COPD so not able to do even half as much, but I'm lucky my daughter loves gardening too so she digs holes for me and helps with projects.
In the season of Thanksgiving, I want to say how thankful I am for your channel! Aside from the wealth of knowledge you provide and all the great garden things...I am thankful to start each morning with some GA! I love being able to see your productivity to jump start my day to being a productive day! Happy Thanksgiving GA family!
My mom would go by a highschool and ask as the kids came out if they wanted a job in the yard. When one said yes she would give them her phone, and have them ok it at home. Worked great for her cleanup around a mountain cabin.
Hi Laura, The year the Harley was erected you put a tree in there. I thought wouldn’t it be great if Balsam Hills and Garden Answer worked together on a Christmas collaboration as I had never seen a Christmas Tree in a greenhouse before. I am so glad that you have acquired a beautiful Balsam Hill tree. They are all beautiful!
I live in the Finger Lakes region of New York , just a few miles from Lake Ontario and my community garden has winter over’d our artichokes with success 😊
Es macht so viel Freude,Dir bei gestalten auf Eurem Hof zuzuschauen ,dabei, bekomme ich auch richtig Lust etwas bei uns zuhause zu arbeiten ❤❤❤ Vielen lieben Dank Laura. 🎉
Hey Mrs. Laura I remember when you sat in your sunroom & opened gifts. So the Hartley is awesome to have. Thanks for a sweet memory. Love watching Benjamin grow up & see Samantha come into her own. Thanks for sharing 💚🦃 HAPPY THANKSGIVING
The lights on your trees by the front door are called “shimmering” lights. I accidentally bought a string and I love them! I buy them every year now because I never want to be without them for my garlands
I’m staying home sick while my family gathers for Thanksgiving and this video is medicine for my soul 😊. The layers, textures and colors in the garden island in the background is perfect. Could you do a “label tour” for this space? 🙏🏻
Douglas seems to be settling into the family with both feet. He is so beautiful and inquisitive with all the holiday activities going on. Loving the Balsam. Can't wait for the Christmas tour.
Laura always gives me that get up and go feeling. As soon as she said several projects it was go time..after watching of course 😊. Safe and happy holidays to all. Little late but Benjamin's tree, best tree ever 😊
"Random" days in my garden are often my favorite. They rarely produce dramatic results but always refine my vision and feed my gardener's spirit. I think it generous of you to share these days too ❤
Laura, so smart of you to test your lights on that tree before tucking it away till next year. I just purchased a 9 ft Yukon Spruce from BH and one of the 4 pieces was damaged in manufacturing and didn’t fit into the next one. It was only 2 days old so it wasn’t an issue. Couldn’t imagine trying to return a year old one. 😂 Your tree is beautiful!
I once strapped Nut crackers to the inner trunk all the way up a sparse airy spruce ! Filled in the gaps with colorful interest . Guardians of the Greenery ! 🎄
Love the all white, simpler Christmas this year. Suggestion. Those artichoke plants would look so festive with really large ornaments nested around in them or maybe solar light globes. Thanks for sharing your gardens, knowledge, and family with us! Happy Thanksgiving!
Good Morning!🦃 HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my Gardening friends!! I agree bulb planting is a huge job, but the results in the Spring! I like those trees! Thank goodness for Paul & Bethany! 😃🥰🦃🎄🌿
I always enjoy seeing how the Team works so beautifully together. It makes me happy seeing that you have such wonderful help. Paul and Bethany are keepers.
My Christmas cactus is blooming. (Guess that means it’s a thanksgiving cactus) it was given to me 3 years ago from starts off a neighbor’s plant. It’s a mix of dark pink and white. This is the first year it’s really bloomed like it means it. You got all your projects done for the day, with supervision from all three cats! Looking really good!!! 🎄💚🎄
You can tell which type it is by the shape of the “leaves”. I still call mine Christmas cactus though. They normally start blooming around Halloween and then bloom again in spring
I have to say, of all the things I’ve learned from you over the last three years of following, your efficiency is what impresses me the most! Work smarter, not harder!
wasn't immediately feeling the whole "decorate for the holidays" as everyone else seems to be, but we got our first snow last night and i was so happy i literally ran outside in the middle of the night lol. so i guess am definitely feeling the vibe more now haha
I think you have a perfect photo op with two beautiful orange cats flanked by the newly groomed artichoke plants. Russell is a polydactyl treasure. Please know how much your videos delight us with so many helpful tips and true insights that make gardening fun.
Love Paul, he pays attention to details, loved it when he notice that little piece of the mulch bag that was on the other side of where he was picking up all the empty bags…
Your statement at the end made me chuckle…”That is it for today “!!! I’m exhausted watching you. Did you do all of that in one day??? Oh Lord, to be young again!
Heavy rain off and on today in my part of N.C. and my husband tested positive for covid this morning so it was a delight to follow Laura on her things to do list. Those geraniums gave me a smile and the tree looks like a real one. Thankful for each one that plant such good seeds in our lives.❤
Curiosity ... how are you connecting all of the tree light along the lanes together? Also any chance you guys could add the espoma house plant fertilizer to your website I would rather support you guys than amazon 110%!!!! Thank you for so much inspiration and beauty to see every morning ❤
I have the Sanibel Spruce! It’s the main tree in my house, fully decorated with Shiny Bright ornaments, new and old and I love it. Even use a bit of old fashioned icicles. It reminds me of the trees of my childhood, so very nostalgic. Happy decorating, can’t wait to see what you do with it!
Every video is a must at my lunch time here in England both of you have done so very well love love your garden thank you for them 🙏🏻🌲you have it cold there now we are -1 and going down 🥶🥶
Great video today. Can't wait to see your tulips come up. It will be a beautiful show. Shout out to Paul and Bethany for all the great work they are doing. Love your Christmas trees. What a great sister in law you have getting the trees for you. A bargain she got you. Can't wait to see the tree in the hartley finished l know it will look really beautiful.
Ahhh I know we all have greenhouse envy!!!!!! I would stay in there all winter😍😍😍😍 In the north east this is the worst time of year, no planting going on and limited sun. I live for spring and summer! Can’t wait to see the geraniums grow! Thanks for taking us along Laura😎
Laura, I love watching your Christmas updates and decorating -- it's that time of year. I'm doing the same thing -- very fun to watch. Enjoy Thanksgiving!!
My 5 year old granddaughter told me to change the channel to watch Garden Answer! Mia was excited to see your new Christmas tree coming out of the box. When planting your bulbs, Mia said “you need to be friends so you can help each other plant!” She knows every day at lunch is the time for Garden Answer. I was also told I need to get a poly greenhouse like yours.
Love your styling of the Hartley Glasshouse! You are right you can have plug sockets in the ground but I am not sure where you'd stand having them in a glasshouse with the water.
Maybe on the highlight channel but I think most people would be interested…! you should do a video of garden ASMR. the driving over the gravel the waterfall the birds like a 10+ minute video of the best garden sounds 🔈🏡⛲️🪴
All this decorating has me anxiously awaiting what you're going to do at your church this year. It will be hard to top what you did last year, but I know you said you had an idea for 2023 last Advent!
I’ve been watching for several years now & I have to say How beautiful your garden is looking -all looking so cohesive. You all work hard as a family but glad you can see the rewards. I really enjoy watching what you post (morning in 🇬🇧) so it’s a lunchtime ritual 😊 just to mention that I’ve found that if you ‘fluff out’ the artificial trees they look even more amazing . You might already do it but just incase - takes a bit more time but worth it (pop it in a search ) just ignore this if you already do it 😊💐🎄🌷🌝
I love Christmas decorating time! Also the artichokes are so fun! Our zoo (zone 5b, actually they prob got switched to 6a last week.) uses a ton of them as annuals in their beds for height and texture. They must start them very early in their greenhouses because they do fruit.
You can have an electric outlet put into the floor. Best done when building. Our house in Florida had one placed in the living room for lights or power recliners. The tree and geraniums in the Hartley are beautiful.
The tree is perfect for the Hartley! They do make bases that gently turn the tree, you had mentioned in an earlier video that you would like that. Probably Amazon. So many tulips! Can't wait to see them all this Spring!
Artichoke flows are so amazing. I can never eat them. 😂 I got the Swallowtail Geraniums and they grew beautifully but the blooms were almost white. I never got the beautiful pink. C’est la vie.
Watching Paul finish off the bulb planting with compost, I can totally understand the damsels inquiring as to his relationship status. BTW I am 76 years old but not dead yet!

Damsels 🤣
My girl, I hear you. Give those young girls some competition

Amen! 😂

Plus Paul and Bethany work hard, too
I was feeling the same way about the recent videos. There's a time to sow and a time to grow and now it's time to let them be and relax a little. Things are falling into place and maturing and I think they are too as a family, so that's nice to see.
@@Shari-lq8rb absolutely!
There always seems to be at least one kitty in every shot. They sure love you, Laura!
And all three made an appearance!🐈
Were those planted from a seed you got or ones you ate.
Man, don't we all need a "Paul" in our garden? What an amazing worker. So appreciate his skills.
Watching Paul stuff all the empty bags into one showed me his attention to detail, very tidy and that’s why he such a perfect fit!!😊
You are sooooo right! Perfect match ! How he and Bethany lighted the driveway maples says a lot, too. I have a feeling they know we all stand in awe of them!
That's common sense to pick up the garbage like that.
@@cathyharder6546 exactly 😊
Can we look forward to a Christmas house tour this year? 😉 Pleeeeeeease 🙏🏻
That Paul is really too good to be true. ❤
Douglas is always the star of the show, and he knows it.
…I miss Russel and was so glad to see his little self in this video. His toes just make me smile. 😂
Agree. It is from his heart.❤
Candied lemon
I wish I could grow citrus. But outside it’s too cold, inside too dark and too dry.
Love anything lemon !!
I get so jealous watching how strong Laura is! I'm 77 with COPD so not able to do even half as much, but I'm lucky my daughter loves gardening too so she digs holes for me and helps with projects.
"A season for everything." Sometimes we need to remember that. I know I do. Thank you, Laura.❤
Paul is the poster man for "work smarter, not harder!!"... love the way he laid the compost bags out and then moved them on down the line!
Love your Winterwonderland❤❤
Love learning about planting bulbs for spring.
Dad (sully)passed Thursday, no sadness please.
He was a good one! Angel❤
If the Artichokes come back, let the 'choke bloom. You'' be amazed at how pretty it is and how amazing the smell is. Alomost vanilla like.
I want a Paul. That's it. That's all I want for Christmas. A handy, willing, hardworking, skilled, proactive Paul!
I think sitting by the pond each night has put Laura and Aaron in zen mode for the holidays. Easy-going and elegant. 😍
In the season of Thanksgiving, I want to say how thankful I am for your channel! I love being able to see your productivity to jump start my day to being a productive day! Happy Thanksgiving GA family!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks to this channel I have a beatiful garden instead of just a flat boring lawn that I used to have 😉
There is truly nothing more charming than bright, red geraniums, and terra-cotta pots in a beautiful winter greenhouse/Hartley❤❤❤
I need a “Paul” at my house - where can I get one?! 🤣 The spring blooms are going to be outstanding. Can’t wait to see the videos in 2024!
I ditto this!!! Thank you Paul for covering the tulips!!!
I think we all need a Paul and a Bethany❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Seeing the number of boxes in the barn loft I think Laura has as many Christmas trees as Andrew’s 😂
They have much more space to fill!
Almost 20 years of marriage so lots of time to collect Christmas decor :D

They are the best! Very expensive. Glad Laura go an after Christmas sale last year.
With that tree being exposed to that much strong sunlight, I wonder if it's lifespan will be shortened.
Im very disappointed with the warmth and dimness of the lights. I dont recommend them to anyone
@@cour2knee Oh no, I never experienced this. Good to know if buying a new one.
I"d never buy a prelit tree. I"ve seen TO0 many in the trash. @@cour2knee

With all the Christmas talk and the red plants it reminded me. Did you ever get feedback on the 100-year old Christmas cactus you replanted?
I’m staying home sick while my family gathers for Thanksgiving and this video is medicine for my soul 😊. The layers, textures and colors in the garden island in the background is perfect. Could you do a “label tour” for this space? 🙏🏻

The cat crop seems to be growing beautifully
Seeing the path from the Hartley to the house is such a delight! It truly makes the Hartley an extension of your home❤
Hartley tree is perfect as well as the other two. Loved being able to listen to you work and the crunch of the gravel. 🎄
Really love your Christmas videos! If you covered your 3-tier plant stand in poinsettias, it would look like a poinsettia tree. I need one now.🌲
