The Good Life - Julius La Rosa Words and Music by Sasha Distal & Jack Reardon Arranged by Joe Massimino RCA Victor Records 1972 45 RPM 74-0938 Not released in digital format
Saw and met Julius LaRosa east ➡️ side of Manhattan 'round 30 some odd years ago - nice 👍🙂 performance and he signed a CD I brought with me - he couldn'tve been nicer ! - I know he got a " raw deal " from Arthur Godfrey !
Thanks for sharing this chart. In the mid 1970's, I played bass on a couple of NY area gigs backing up Julius. Joe Massimino was his conductor/pianist and obviously the arranger of this chart. The bands were contracted per gig and we never had the same band personnel twice except, based on my memory, Joe and a fantastic drummer, whose name escapes me but not the memory of playing in such a great rhythm section.
Julius sang the first few notes of "The Good Life" in this commercial starting at 0:16. The commercial was popular and so he made a 45 RPM recordeing of the song on RCA. ua-cam.com/video/pKAArRXlMk4/v-deo.html

I used to listen to LaRosa on WNEW-AM. William B. Williams, Gene Klaven, Ted Brown. These guys were the best.
You're right ! They sure 😉😊 were ! They call them " the good old 😸🗝️ days " for a reason !
Amazing song🎵🎵🎵🎵

Those American Airlines television commercials 48 years ago were great
Better than Sinatra’s recording.
The original music and lyrics were by Sacha Distel. "La belle vie". Please correct me if I'm wrong. Looks like you got it spelled wrongly.
