With the El Niño the weather people keep talking about, I’m surprised we received this much snow. The last really strong El Niño was so warm the snow kept melting or turning to rain.
Oh dang! With all the news about El Nino I was expecting not to receive any significant snow until sometime in late December. I’m surprised we got this much snow as they were calling for heavy rain instead.
@@thatalaskaguy we got a tiny amount of rain on top of the snow followed by more snow, after it settled it dropped to -10 and prolly 24 - 26" right now.
@@big_uteI’m curious to see if this winter plays out like ‘14-‘15 where we started off really well then it went to crap. If the weather people weren’t talking about the El Niño so much I’d just think we were in for a good winter. Back in ‘15 the Blob from El Niño started kicking in mid winter.
Looks like you guys got more snow than fairbanks alaska. A little less than a foot, its still snowing and its been snowing. Having alot of trouble with my snowmachines so I can't ride.
I was fully expecting a low snow winter with all the hype about El Niño. I was surprised to see the amount of snow we got. To me it’s kind of funny that we are still behind Anchorage & the Valley.

Lots of snow compared to us in northern Manitoba
I was looking back at pictures and this is a pretty decent amount of snow for us in November for the past 6 years.
Nothing , not even close . Trees still have their leaves on them in Sothern On Canada .

we got roughly 30" here in peters creek and yes I went and played around in it.
Very nice. 👍 We got 2” of rain on one of the days Anchorage was getting all that snow. I’ve not measured but we’ve got about 18” on the ground
