    🏆 I have a RARE 1988 Chevy short bed GMT400 - 350 5.7 v8 “CUSTOM TRUCKS OF TEXAS - LIMTED EDITION” I just ordered a new black OEM hood $167 LMC truck I live 30 minutes away thank GOD no expensive fright shipping fee, grill $96 Ebay, 4 led headlights with the high beam relay switch to run all 4 at once $300 installed by wheels & deals car audio in K.C. Kansas, park lights $21 Amazon, 4 corner lights $22 Amazon, Silverado emblems near door/cab $16 Amazon, & chrome Chevy emblem for grill VERY EXPENSIVE $215 Ebay couldn’t find anywhere else. I thought about buying the OEM Factory gold grill emblem & getting some chrome wrap for it but I didn’t want it to fade or mess up!!!! Thanks for the video KCMO 816 💎

    Very helpful. I followed your directions and installed a new chrome grille in my 1991 chevy silverado pickup. Everything went well except when it came time to replace the plastic strip under the new grille. The plastic push pins would not hold. I got lucky and found the perfect size bolts and nuts as a replacement.

    Is it the gauge or the sending unit? If the gauge is erratic, it's usually the sending unit. Drop the tank and replace it. If the gauge is stuck at full, it could be a bad ground. Drop the tank and check the ground wire to the sending unit. If it's the gauge itself, you'll have to pull the instrument cluster and replace the gauge with a used one.

    For those plastic clips that hold the bottom valance to the grille, if you take a pair of pliers and simply pull the center pin out of the top they come out very easily, and you don't take a chance on damaging them. They simply pop right back in the new grille. Don't try squeezing them from the underside, that is not how they come out.

    Front grille is the least of my problems now, a life time water pump I bought at autozone completely broke off and drove my steel fan into my 3 core heavy duty radiator and all are trashed beyond repair, the disk on the shaft of the water pump somehow slipped down on one side which caused a wobble that let the drive belt slip off the pulley onto the WP steel casing and the force actually broke it off the engine block, now my baby is just sitting in my yard, can't even start it to keep it from drying up everything. I'm bummed.

      I had to remove the bumper in this video on my other channel. It's super easy: ua-cam.com/video/iyPeewf2WHU/v-deo.html

    I have a 93 k/1500 Cheyenne, is that why my head lights are the big square ones instead of the rectangular, I prefer the latter but will I have to change my grille, is it cause the silverados have the rectangular ones that mine is different Do I need to buy grille and headlights or just the headlights?

    • @farmboy30117
      @farmboy30117  8 років тому

      You have the grille like the W/T version. I would imagine the core support is different than the Silverado as well, so that would need to be swapped out. Unfortunately I haven't worked with this type of grille so I don't know for sure.

      +farmboy30117 the core support is the same on the silverado sierra and cheyenne so you can interchange the grilles but on the other hand pretty much the only different thing is the wiring. the wt grilles headlights have just one light rather than 2 in the silverado and sierra grilles

    Yes, but they still wouldn't have been as clear as new ones. I ended up selling them.

    will that kind of grill fit a 95 Tahoe?

      The '94-98 models had a slightly different profile (more rounded) , so I'm not sure the earlier model grilles will fit well.

    Man I need find a video on how put on the bumper all I see is other stuff but the bumper

    • @farmboy30117
      @farmboy30117  3 роки тому

      You have to take the grille off to get to the bumper bolts on top of the frame. I believe there are 2 bolts on bottom of the frame that you can get to from underneath the bumper.
