- Hello Dust Bunnies! Enjoy this rare look into a traditional Japanese home with our guide Hideko. A very interesting home, with secret rooms and stairwells!
This very old traditional Japanese house is over 120 years old! Through exploring the rural Japanese home, you'll gain insight into daily Japanese life for those living within rural Japanese villages.
I'm a 3rd year ALT living in Kiinagashima, located within a rural town called Kihoku-cho in Mie-ken. This town has just over 8000 residents, the majority being senior citizens.

What do you think the secret room/staircase was used for?
Feels like real home.
This is very satisfying to watch! Beautiful house and Mrs Hideko is charming too
Hideko is very charming. So much history in this house! (Super envious of all those cupboards!)
Thanks. :) Hideko is a good friend of mine.
very sweet and well done Dustin!
Thanks a lot! :)
I love Kihoku's music. Nice video!
Thanks a lot! :)
huge house! with two kura! I hope she can take care of it for a loooong time!
She is a very beautiful woman, and looks at least 10 years younger than her actual age. I love the house as well, quite big and airy!
Such a beautiful traditional home. Such a shame it's not being maintained. It would be amazing if she cleaned it up and rented out rooms to travelers. She looks fabulous for 71 years old. Great video 👌
