My grandpa told me a story of a solar eclipse like 38 years ago. All of the cows went back to that barn thinking that it was night.

Half eclipse. Solar eclipses only happen like once every 400 years.
WOOOOOOWWWWW
In Mexico there is a believe that pregnant women should wear pins on their shirt around their belly to protect the baby because they think the liquid In their belly has some kind of reaction to the eclipse that may affect the baby.
EM. REY. I am mexican but I am in
America
EM. REY.
Yup. My family went on a trip when a lunar eclipse happened. They made me stay indoors as well. Texas for me though.
EM. REY. my mom said the same thing she super mexican
I'v hear of other cultures that tell pregnant women to not go outside during a solar eclipse
It's not that rare. But it's rare for the U.S. which is weird.

if its the solar eclipse on earth
does that mean
its an earth eclipse on the sun? 🙄
Tell Me This dun dun dunnnnn
Tell Me This no the earth emits no light
Furian neither does moon but we have lunar eclipse 🙄
Tell Me This is still a lunar eclipse on both sides
A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind the Earth into its umbra (shadow). This can occur only when the sun, Earth, and moon are aligned (in "syzygy") exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, a lunar eclipse can occur only the night of a full moon. The type and length of an eclipse depend upon the Moon's location relative to its orbital nodes.
A total lunar eclipse has the direct sunlight completely blocked by the earth's shadow. The only light seen is refracted through the earth's shadow. This light looks red for the same reason that the sunset looks red, due to rayleigh scattering of the more blue light. Because of its reddish color, a total lunar eclipse is sometimes called a blood moon.
Unlike a solar eclipse, which can be viewed only from a certain relatively small area of the world, a lunar eclipse may be viewed from anywhere on the night side of the Earth. A lunar eclipse lasts for a few hours, whereas a total solar eclipse lasts for only a few minutes at any given place, due to the smaller size of the Moon's shadow. Also unlike solar eclipses, lunar eclipses are safe to view without any eye protection or special precautions, as they are dimmer than the full moon.
Strange thing #7: People slicing up "Pringles Cans".
Im eating Pringles rht now lol
and cereal boxes
Skittles bag.
what kind of savages would do that?
Lemonade Juice A family committed suicide not far from me during the eclipse. They thought they were all gonna die,how ironic! I'm serious, not being funny at all.
So many solar eclipse live streams being recommended to me on youtube now. xD
Because of sun and moon 2 both make cool ideas for video
@@ramilabaviskar5964 yeh

Two reasons, I didn't know it was going to happened and I don't go outside that much.

Apparently you can't look at the eclipse smh
Grayson Caron they sold out
Welders masks or goggles are just as good. Or pierce a hole in one end of a shoe box and look at the opposite end from the hole for the image of what's going on.
Killer Funghoul No they arent.
Yes they are.
Well you can... But it'll burn your retina

Eskimo is a derogatory term for said people, that a rival tribe called them. They prefer to be called Inuit, which is their own word for people.
Potato
Lol
That was so cool! The neighbor's chickens went to roost, crickets started chirping, the neighborhood dogs went nuts, some of the birds started morning/evening songs, and it just seemed so awesomely eerie! Where we are, we had a slim fingernail of sun showing. Oh so close to totality! I am 60 now, so I truly enjoyed what may be my last solar eclipse. So happy!!!
I wonder how many people are going to have eye damage
Kittsin 21 not me! But my face smells like piss...
Kittsin 21 you dont go blind until hours or even a day later
Andre ツ - Gaming Content Actually you would only see from a small spot small as a pea and it would take less the 1 minute

That's a rumor, I'm from India. And we don't do this here 🤷🏻♀️
He probably made that up. Cause we figured out a lot of scientific stuff before
Totally being Indian never heard that. Yes we fast and take bath and have quite pray but nothing he mentioned
So we won't see this in England
Benjiman Franco we had one 3 years ago
Stonehenge is relieved there won't be unwashed, unshaven gits crawling all about it littering the grounds with empty lager cans....
Benjiman Franco But England is my city
ConnorMacVideos That's why no Eclipse for you.
ConnorMacVideos sorry to break the news but England is not a city
I lived in the path of totality in 2017. My family came down to visit, some even spending the night camping on the lawn or sleeping in the station wagon because I have a very small apartment.
When the eclipse started, the everyone came outside, traffic on Interstate 55 stopped and we all stopped talking. When totality happened the people roared in awe, clapped and were happy.
I just feel high even without drugs- works for me!
The Solar Eclipse was an awesome DLC update. Good Job Creators....
However in a billion years we'll never get total eclipses because of the moon pulling away from the Earth. The code has a bug that caused this, unless a new patch is released.
The strangest thing during solar eclipse for me has to be not being able to find my dog. He just disappears 🙄
EDIT : He's back. No idea where he was though.
Xenoam
I hope you find him safe and sound.
I hope you have your dog back by now!
he was talking with the aliens
I am sorry but your name suits your comment xD

Wait for 21 June 2020, Maximum Eclipse 12:10pm.
Surprisingly there wasn't any Eclipse post on my Instagram feed or my area story. Most likely because we got a partial here in Hawaii but still, maybe I should've gone out this morning to check it out.
L O L I thought I was the only one in this comment section from hawaii

What happen if astronauts goes to the moon while in eclipse?
Good question
The moon srinks...
They should do that!
Got to see it at 100% totally awesome! Hearing the birds begin to roost, crickets chirping and seeing Venus appear was amazing! The whole environment felt great!
Happy Solar Eclipse Day! 🌞🌚😎

" Once in a lifetime "
My mom saw it 3 times.
If you are in the north east like me, and you have those special glasses, you can see the partial eclipse this afternoon. So...GO OUTSIDE
The eclipse was great, I drove from Cape Cod to Tennessee to view it. What a amazing experience.
Im getting 99.9% totality. South Carolina anyone?
umar bashir Yep.
Yep its over 😭😥
umar bashir it was overhyped here
umar bashir yes we are hundred percent totality it was amazing friend of mine's professional photographer in got some amazing pictures
cool
I was at camp when this happened! They tried to put 200 kids in a tiny room for 4 hours
As someone who is a North Alaskan person, i never heard of people turning them upside down
It was epic! I went to see the total solar eclipse and it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. And the night before that, I saw a bright, shooting star across the dimly lit strand of the Milky Way Galaxy. I was rendered speechless.
On solar eclipse there are zombies and monsters, and you have a small chance to get a broken sword.
Slavic Boi
I use to play terraria now
But when I saw your message
It just look similar in terraria
I slammed the solar eclipse into The windows
Hello from Idaho
100% totality
Rose Brown Yeahhh boi Idaho FTW
We had a partial eclipse here (80% or so) a few years ago. And the neighbors' dogs were funny. When it became darker, they didn't do anything. But when it became light again, they ALL started barking.
I was in the path of 100% totality here in Lincoln City, Oregon (first place it made landfall) and it was the single most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life. Two minutes of pure peace, no stress, worries, anxiety NOTHING. I was overcome with this crazy feeling during it and it felt like I was inside of a dream. I would give anything to experience that again, hopefully longer then 2 minutes next time.
Fire benders lose fire bending
🤣
Dude totally 😂😂😂
I hope I get to see it because I have to go to work today. I don't have those special glasses anyways so I guess it doesn't matter..maybe I can hold my phone up and look at it through my camera.
I've heard that it ruins your phone lens. I don't know if it's true or not...
It could burn you're phone lens
Sushiiii your phone won't capture it as it won't get rid of glare
An empty box will do you, pierce a hole in one side and point it at the sun then look at the opposite side of the box to see the image of what's going on
i heard that will basically ruin your phone's camera.
Look it up first.
Hey Mike, I watched the eclipse on the internet from the UK. The last partial eclipse I saw was in China 2009. Amazing experience. But to you guys in America who were lucky enough to see the real thing I do hope you enjoyed it!
I was in tennessee when it happened and it was amazing. A stray cat came near me for the first time in the 5 years I lived in that house. He was freaking out,and you could hear the farm animals going crazy.
Wow, i never knew that. Thanks for the heads up.!😁🌚🌑
Where I was The eclipse was 98% and it didn't get dark AT ALL
It was like looking through crappy sunglasses
Cameron Meetze it happens in florida
Joe Yang I'm in North carolina
Cameron Meetze I got 10%
RandomVideos I'm in England. We got 4% at sunset with a bunch of clouds covering the shitty view of it anyway. We win 😁
I looked at the solar eclipse...and now...i have superpowers!! I'm just like daredevil now 😉
You forgot to mention how the smell in the air changes or at least it did in tennessee
Slept through the whole eclipse
I don't know if I should laugh or feel bad for you...
Sam Little trololololololol tbh that's just sad
Sam Little sorry
Sam Little omg u little babo
Same because I live in GB
That's the day of my brithday😂
Money King 2755 happy late birthday 😂
Brithday
The eclipse was amazing here in Oregon, we saw the ring and everything! It was crazy.
I had a complete totality view for about 45 seconds on my front porch. Made a reaction video. I just realized that the shadows coming from my tree were showing those crescents! It was a beautiful sight. Yes, the temperature did drop. The eclipse effected our weather more than I thought it would.
We were very lucky to have seen it because it began to storm, HEAVY, about an hour before the moon began to make its way onto the sun. Then promptly AFTER the eclipse it stormed even harder for the rest of the day. It was amazing the eclipse happened between storms. lol
Pshhh I can watch it without glasses
I'm blind
Ironic User loool
Ironic User Marie never used glasses. Now she doesn't need them.
Ironic User wow
How tf did you type this comment
If your blind you cant see the eclips
Oh yeah, where I was watching the solar eclipse, it legit went Fromm sunny day, to cold, and thereafter sudden severe storms in a matter of minutes??..
Meghan M. Did u have glasses on
Man I love your videos and your humor ..
When the totality hit, it got cooler and the streetlights came on. Also (something I didn't notice 🅱️cause of pure awe) everything went quiet and it looked like dusk
I saw it 😄❤it was cute n kinda scary
wifey 4 lifey the sun being blocked by the moon turning day into night for a few minutes was....cute....? Lol
wifey 4 lifey you're cutter and shining more than 3 suns
Best way to describe it! lol
Omar Ali aww thanks😘
Aswan lucky I live in Asia so I couldn't see it :(
It is my lifelong dream to watch a solar eclipse. I really wanted to watch this years one but sadly, I live all the way in Australia. I'm so intrigued in space and everything to do with. It's just so fascinating! I really really REALLY hope one happens in Australia in a few years... 😔
There is one happening in 2028 that means in 6 years and I also live in Australia
I was unfortunately not in the path of totality, but we did get about 88% coverage and while it didn't go completely dark, at the peak it suddenly got dim and super eerie. The temperature dropped a little for sure during the eclipse (I'm in FL so it's easy to notice any dip in temp since our daytime highs in these parts are pretty consistent this time of year) so I was able to sit outside with my pinhole projector fairly comfortably and watch the sun become a little toenail clipping.
Love you Mikey Chen!
I looked at the sun for like 5 seconds. I'm not blind....I am Savage tho 😎
A NOBLE SAVAGE?
VC 23 same
VC 23 uhm you aren't able to tell anything happened until about 12 hours later or a few hours later. You're dumb
No u didn't u we're being a wimp like everyone else and wearing the glasses
SansUndertale sorry if I'm a wimp for wanting to keep my eyesight.
Hi im back subbed on a diffirent account im tripple dipping (i guess i dipped more times then the big dipper)
The big dipper does not dip.
(it Ursas majorly though)
LMFAOOO 3:48 "longer in one direction than anudder!" lmao yoooo
Thanks for including the shadow bands phenomena. I noticed this on the ground moments before totality and wasn't sure what it was.
I was hoping that stars would shine and we would be able to see what is really out their but there are no clear skies yet and this thing is almost over. The chem trails and smoke from fires are messing it up for everyone. I hope the east side of the usa does better.
Anyone else see Jupiter in it?
Weirdo The Weirdo, I have pictures of it!
Oh, that planet was Jupiter? I saw it off to the side where I was during 100% totality and it was amazing! It was right next to the eclipse. So breathtaking.
I was literally like da fuuuuuuuuuuu ohh it's jupiter
I saw it, it was absolutely amazing, definitely worth the 6 hour drive to reach the path of totality
YES! I love your videos bro!
Boy i hated today. From Missouri.
Yes it may be gross but dint be rude to them its thier way of living!
True. My cat started flipping out from every sound, started biting me and attacking my leg, then started breathing fast after the eclipse ended. He doesn't have rabies he acted up
thanks for the info very interesting brother.
Good video, thanks for posting!
I saw full totality.... breathtaking and amazing words will never describe the feeling experienced...I recommend a bucket list to view the total eclipse to everyone
The last total eclipse I saw was in the UK in 1999, bloody amazing it was.
Second totality in the books for me. That was awesome!
The temperature got a little chilly here and the crickets got loud. My dog took a swim in the canal. The cows were acting really strange....all they did was just stand there and eat.👀
when it was happening there were ton of hermit crabs on the road everywhere and I don't normally see that
I got the most interestingly strange pics iv seen of yesterdays eclipse and caught something very strange i think ud appreciate it
puro rok what did u see strange?
the 1st strange thing is this video being recommended to me
We had about a 98% totality and instead of pitch dark or blinding reflected light our whole yard turned silver and blue each of various hues. It was so refreshing and beautiful to see the world as though it were under an Icy veil
It's ruined my spring break
This Eclipse was very symbolic considering it goes right through the middle of the US, creating to the dividing line, like our social environment.
In India, solar eclipse is considered a very auspicious but yet a very cautious period. A lot of special and secret kinds of worship are performed secretly during this period.
live in missouri, stormed through eclipse, stopped after it was already over
I live outside of St Louis. Luckily for me, I get to see this event twice in one decade. Once today and again in 2024.
I can't wait for it
you should of done a live broadcast of it Mikey!
And keep up the great content love your videos
The light bent and all the crickets and locusts started singing. I was in East st Louis during that. I felt like I was magnetic somehow I felt something during that. I'll never forget it. I wish you can catch the next one.
Yayy! Solar Eclipse on my 15th birthday!
Don't look directly at the sun folks, if you value your eyesight wear goggles designed for this, also watch what you're doing with telescopes and cameras, use a filter for it for your safety. You can use two sheets of paper, if you don't have something else suitable, pierce a hole in one and hold the other a little further away so the image will show through the hole onto the second sheet. Or just watch online. Welders masks/goggles are good for viewing.
I can't tell you how much I love this channel.
"for some people" yeah mike cant wait to see the next eclipse in 300 years
You 're channel is great beyond science
Congrats
😊😊😄😄😂
it wasn't as cool as i expected
It really sucks when this 'Once in a lifetime event' happens during school
