This month's seminar "The Latin-SEQ project”, featuring Dr Ana Topf from the John Walton Muscular Dystrophy Research Centre at Newcastle University in the UK.
Next generation sequencing (NGS) has revolutionised the diagnostic process for patients with neuromuscular diseases (NMD). However, access to sequencing technologies in less developed regions, such as Latin American countries is not only limited, but also extremely variable.
Latin-SEQ is a consortium of neuromuscular units from Latin American countries focused on diagnostics, basic research and training in the NMD field.
DNA dialogue seminars are held live via zoom on the last Thursday of each month. Registration is open to anyone working in, or impacted by, medical genomics.
