Just messing around with the PC release of Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, one of my favorite games from the Sony PlayStation PS4 and PS5. Testing the game's script native functions such as spawning NPCs with my script hook. Hope to maybe release some cool script mods in the future such as NPC Spawner, Player Model Changer, etc. Still needs work due to crashing and finding a few right hooks/game threads, blah blah blah. Stay tuned! :)

May I ask how to obtain functions like the enemy spawning? I currently do my own menu for learning purposes and I wish I'd know/learn how to find these things but there's nothing up on the internet. I see you did the spawning feature in a lot of games already and I would love to learn how to do it myself. I would really appreciate some information or help in any way.
I have made the a similar question here, he said that he got the NPC function from the health one.
So he pretty much did some dynamic analysis, got the NPC health and then found the spawn.
He said that he also tries to get the debug info and search for strings when possible.
Hell yeah, we need Shimura drip for Jin.
Maybe you could add a feature like a outfit manager.

Well, actualy i'm able to use some armors and swords not avaible in any place besides a PC, i'm quite happy with that tbh.

Sword Kit mods are gonna be insane, The Yamato, Goldbrand, Masamune, Murasama etc etc. Hell, even custom-made/modder original Sword Kits are possible now
can you scale Jin's arms only and make them longer? :P

I hope someone decides to mod and remove the blood dripping effect when playing new game+ with the three curse charms (frailty, exhaustion and misfortune). Really makes the game a challenge but that blood effect is such a pain for the eyes. If you manage this it would be greatly appreciated!

The only two things that would make me happy, if someone can PLEASE remove the stupid third sword on the back of the Gbost armor as it literally serves no purpose and its aesthetic is completely out of place. Second, can we pleasd remove the shoulder pads from all armors. They DO NOT come off when you level them up so people need to quit telling me that like they have for years.
I've been hearing that this game is "impossible to mod" cause alot of stuff can't be unpacked or something like that, is this true? This is the one game I've been waiting years to come to pc just for mods and if it can't be Modded I'm going to be so sad
Probably bullshit. They said the same about Assassins Creed, after 10 years swapping models and adding custom animations, no problem anymore (I dont really believe it will take this long for GoT)

He obviously cannot answer because he is currently finishing up the mod. He will let us know when he’s done. He will post it on Nexus mods and upload it to his channel.

Well, it’ll probably be an AI spawner and model character changer like play a different characters. There doesn’t have to be one specific mod for it. It’s just AI spawner and model changer that’s working on hopefully it’s done

@@YEY0806 yeah, I reckon It does eat up some resources but modders got that to work on RDR2 and Witcher 3 so I hope it's manageable. I am constantly looking at nexus mods everyday to see if anyone created it but nothing so far 😟

How do you do it so fast!? I assume you had to find a bunch of function addresses and so on (and I don't find that part of reverse engineering easy).
I guess experience help. Mind if I ask some tips? Really would like to know some new techniques.
yeah this game was a bit difficult cause they stripped most if not all debug info such as class type info. But really it is just practice lol, essentially u get lucky by finding string references to what u want with static analysis. If not u wil have to do a lot of dynamic analysis and having to see what writes or accesses memory addresses which gives u functions to start looking at. For example i found npc spawning function by back tracing from a set health function that I initially found from when player loses health.
@@jedijosh920 Thanks for answering me! I was a bit hopeless about getting an answer, but it was worth the try.
And this gives me much more insight. I didn't even thought about using debug data or health to find NPC spawn function (that is genius).
I did my own memory scanner tool and I been using debug registers to find player functions (essentially infinite ammo). So now I can get a better idea on how people find other types of functions. Once again, thank you!

Yo Jedi, I've tried using existing tools such as the UNPSARC Tool. It does seem to work to a degree. It spits out a folder however, the folder is empty. The last update to the tool from my understanding was back in 2023. Any way you can look at the tool and update or possibly get with the author and work on getting it updated. I mostly do model and texture replacements. My first mod would be to get The Last Ronin (Ninja Turtle) into the game. I also want to help the modding community enjoy other models.

How close are you to getting the psarch files? Some guys on my discord server I made are trying but we’re not getting anywhere really.
I just at least wanna know if the mods sadly stop at reshades and a couple cheats or if we’re gonna get very expansive mods. Hoping it’s the latter please say it’s the latter.
i haven't looked into those files. pretty sure ive seen them before in other playstation pc games such as uncharted have u tried any existing tools? unless they changed the format heavily. i think a lot of cool mods could be done, but im more focused towards the script/engine side of things.

yeah i got the female multiplayer character working recently it was called "heroine" and it looks like Yuna but ive been having trouble with other actual npc models but im getting close hopefully :)
