I do not want to call this a flying car. To me, this is a large, one man Drone.
Manned Drone Internalized Cockpit - Man-DIC
@@BWolf00 now thats using ur head cx
Agree. That's not a car.
@@BWolf00 MaDIC
Honestly what do you expect flying car to look like? if it's to be vtol it has to have rotors, if it wants to have any energy saving in forward flight it needs some wings, even stub ones. You could slap jet engines into frame looking like in Blade Runner but it wouldn't be the best option probably
What godawful noise. Not appealing..
I must admit I am one of those people who really want to see this company succeed, it’s a good time to introduce some excitement into the world, God knows we got a lot of negatives to deal with! This is definitely on my bucket list of things to do! Cheers!
NOPE, this seems VERY Dangerous to me , letting UNTRAINED Pilots fly this Contraption MANUALLY.
the REAL game changer is in FULLY AUTONOMOUS personal Aircraft that you Dont even own , you RENT it.
On their website it seems this can only fly in perfectly ideal weather which is a touch disappointing.
@@markplott4820 I mean we would clearly have to license people if we were going to have public use. They'd be trained and take a test like we take driving tests
I do agree though, we need automated driving.
May I suggest that if you want something to worry about think, about the statistics of how many people die each year on the highways streets and roads in the states and then push that out to the world!
I was expecting to see a flying car and all I got was a giant drone with a dude in it.
That was the idea for the Moller skycar. That design has been around for over 30 years.
Most drivers aren't competent drivers on the ground; put them in the air; what could go wrong?
Top tiers comment
Most private pilots ae not competent so.................
THE WAY PEOPLE DRIVE MOTOR VEHICLES, GET PREPARED FOR MIDAIR TRAGEDIES AND KEEP A STEEL UMBRELLA IN CASE OF FALLING DEBRIS
You may have a point there
The way people comment with caps lock turned on, get prepared for midair tragedies.
@@richn.1860 you’re trying so hard to troll that it’s hilarious
Exacto. Air traffic nightmare. That's why this has not happened yet. Probably never will. Rich man's hobby in the desert.
And your statement bears being in CAPS BECAUSE IT IS DANGEROUS.
Wow, such small, narrow minded thoughts.
No one will be "piloting/flying" anything. Getting around will all be done with ultra powerful Ai computers communicating with each other using some kind of hi-tech G6 or G7 wireless transmission. The same thing will be happening on the streets. Accidents in the sky (and on the ground), will become so rare, you'll have better odds playing the lottery.
But it’s not a car, just another toy for rich people.
Yes, but that's how cars started out. One day it will be more than just a toy.
True, but it’s a step towards it.
people above me don’t care about the environment
Why are they calling this a flying car? I thought a flying car was a car that could fly? This isn’t a car. This is just a toy for people who don’t pay enough taxes.
Exactly.
And I bet y'all wish you were in the position to
pay a lot more taxes then you're paying now.
How is this in anyway an improvement on older designs? In no way a flying car. It looks unstable even in calm wind. 20 mile range is absurd and its intended method of landing is plopping it's carbon belly on the ground. This ain't it.
He said it’s like the car 120 years ago. Right now the range is 25 miles, in 10 years it may be 200. If it can take off straight away, use automation and travel 100-200 miles, there would be a lot of wealthy people who would use it. Eventually it gets cheaper and cheaper.
this is worse than a normal car I would rather have a nissan
Let me coin it here so I own it:
"SKY-RAGE"
Let me coin it here so I own it: 'PAVJACKING' *(pav=personal aerial vehicle)
not if they are autonomous.
Not a flying car unless it actually drives on roads too.
Valid point, but you gotta look a little bit outside the 3 feet around you. We are getting closer to the point The Jetsons promised us.
@Markman Dave Yes, because that's important!
It’s not a flying car it’s just a plane
There was one on the tube somewhere I think.
Exactly how is this a car? Looks more like a flying boat bruh
Just what we need - even more noise pollution!!
drone videos always mute the noise way down. if people knew how loud they were, even small ones... they would not buy them much.
This thing gives off like 72db’s. My 15” kicker is louder than this.
It's not a car, it's not a flying car.....it's a plane. Imagine a few million of these over a city.
Would suck
but you can drive it on streets its not a plane
love the fact that it's electric charge it up with solar panels on your roof and your flying on sunlight! How damn cool is that!!
Not a car if it cant drive on streets , just a ultralight
This is a TOY, not a flying CAR. No one has yet to cross the 25-minute threshold.
JOBY Aviation has crossed it. They did a 77 minute flight already. Look it up.
@@PaulaZF Nope, not in any vertical lift vehicle like this. The first person to solve the Trust to Weight problem will be a Billionaire overnight. And will win the Nobel in Science.
@@PaulaZF it only goes 25 miles on a single charge 😂
Plus it's 60k lmao 🤣
Another con man with investors!!!
👍🏻😁...I like it, & especially the part where there's No-Gas needed.
but you have to burn a lot of coal too charge it!!!!!
Eletric planes are still alot less efficient than using jet-a
Great now we get to hear that annoying buzzing sound from drone cameras magnified like crazy. Stop ruining peace and quiet in nature just so some obnoxious lazy person can go fly above it for 20 minutes 🙄
Why do you call this a flying car? It doesn't drive on a road or highway. This is an airplane.
A rich persons toy. Seriously though it’s a light aircraft. A cool novelty but nothing more
@We’re probably going to argue man I agree and really would like to see this evolve into something like a flying ambulance, taxi service or even something akin to a personal light flying pleasure craft (in sparsely populated areas of course) but as of right now it is a rich person’s toy. I wish the inventor’s all the best
Great to see Opener being more public about BlackFly!
This is the reason why the Take-off and landing looks odd 👉 ua-cam.com/video/FQVAOHxFY0M/v-deo.html
Thanks
New report from the future: Family of 4 dies in flying car incident, car battery died at 5 thousand ft.
It's really noisy, hopefully us regular folks don't have to listen to one of these while trying to enjoy nature
Totally agree! I hope these things don't ruin peaceful nature because some obnoxious rich person wants to go fly because they are too lazy to go hike and ACTUALLY enjoy nature
No info about how it’s fueled??
You know electric fueled where you have 45 minutes of flying time and you would burn a lot of coal to re-charge it. AOC would call it the green new deal!!!! And give this guys company $3.5 B of the $3.5 T dollars!!!
*not a flying car. just a small plane.*
Kudos for these people for their foward thinking !!! I first started reading about this VTOL aircraft ( Black Fly ) about four years ago.. IIt started out as a r/c ( remote controled) drone and it just got bigger!!! The aitcraft has a small travel range.. But this is only the beginning... Think of it as a. Modern day Wright fllyer from the early 1900s!!! Things can only go up from here!!! ( pun intended ).......
Think of it as a crappy, noisy toy for people with excess $$$ and few brains... trust fund kids, instagram stars... etc.
Can you imagine someone road raging with one of these? 🙄
LOUD FUCKEN TOY?
Doesn’t look like you can see where you’re going.
I’ll pass for something that keeps it’s nose pointed where I want it to go so I can actually see.
Who would VOTE for these people in our Govt. ??? Schumer 48 yrs, McConnell 47 yrs, Pelosi 46 yrs, Biden 46 yrs. JOKE
N O B O D Y would .... This is almost FIVE DECADES without a loss??? This is complete CRAP!!!
Now we're going to have air traffic GrEAt!!!!
Noise pollution
How is this a car?
How is that a car?
That isn't a " flying car "that's a single person helicopter..clickbait😅 And I share the other comment that there would be massive single non pilot crashes everywhere and the only profit would be made is how much they pay the clean up crew ... Forward thinking is fine but get the PLAN together.
To push the invention on Operation of flying Personal vehicles. Why don’t they make it a sport like Formula racing. This would make the Process goes by way quicker which would draw in more investors. However, it would have to pass multiple Regulations first.
NOT A FLYING CAR. Its just oversized drone. Due to battery weight limiting the range, will never be practical to own one. They already invented something very similar, its called a helicopter, and it has much better range.
This is so cool, but it will work only if it remains something for few (maybe). The moment everyone can have one, it's the moment the sky will be so crowded it's going to be slower and dangerous than using a car. There are so many car accidents, and in a car you don't have to worry about every directions, 360 degree, plus up and down. If you want to make this for everyone, the flying machines have to be autonomous, without human interaction.
Also, right know there are already countries where normal little drone are regulated and can't fly everywhere. You will never be allowed to fly wherever you want. And if you can't fly wherever you want, but you have to follow some kinds of "fly streets", these machines became useless.
So... I hope I'm wrong.

How can it be a car 🚗 if it doesn't work 🤣 on the ground ?? Who will direct air traffic ?? What about if there's a crash with another one ?? Too many questions .....
What if there's a crash with a Cessna? It's the same thing.
Bruh stop being dramatic well figure it out just like everything else… why do you think you have a shower and sink the flow water , its not magic
Actually this would have a LottaApplications military and search and rescueAnd wells police In government applications And along with medical in a few short years then by the general public from
Chicago to Disney World Less than a couple of hours
It's about every 10 years since the model T someone comes out promising one of these.
Sorry, Rod Serling, It'll never happen.
We can barely keep planes from bumping into one another and the non-flying cars on the road!
It'll do one thing sort of positive.
It'll keep people looking up a lot more.
Its soooo noisy and loud!! I wouldn't want those flying around me in the city or in a serene quiet place in the country disturbing the peace. I don't even want to think about hundreds of them crowding the sky. Sounds like flying lawn mowers.
We need thrusters. We still using rotors and jets.. Come on! Idw a ww3 to get there man
I'll bet David Pogue wishes he would have landed this assignment!
Flying car? Umm, no. But why would I expect CBS to be accurate in their reporting. This is not a car in any way.
It's a romantic notion, but do we really want our neighbors, who can't even be bothered to check their blind spot before changing lanes, flying a plane? 🤔
There will be avoidance systems put in place when the technology improves and it becomes more popular. There will -0- accidents.
You can't drive it on the road. Stop calling it a car. Flying cars actually do exist. This is not one. It is a flying machine, but you can't drive it around.
Like the concept, hate the landing...at least it doesn't end in a crash landing... 😂.
I'll buy one when the landing is more elegant
1950: I bet in the future we will have a fat man child named chris chan in the future
2021: flying cars
It's cool and all, but I don't think I want to see a sky full of those things. If, in twenty years or so, they're as common as drones are now, that just might be the case.
Anything that will help you pass traffic jams is good for everyone..best thing is no gas!
No wonder he hit that house in the sim. For much of the flight you can't see in front of the AIRCRAFT, which is what it is. It's not a car.
It should have a safety if the motors in the shutting off it will have a parachute that shoots up from the top
It's called redundancy and reliability, you say that as if we don't do that already with modern aircraft
Flying cars will never happen
They shouldn't happen ....
Hopefully not.
The horseless carriage (automobile) will never replace the horse and buggy! Hmm! 🤔 The Titanic will never sink, it's unsinkable! Hmm! 🤔 Man will never fly to the moon! Hmm! 🤔
There are things called EVTOLs.
@@PaulaZF actually:

I WANT ONE FOR CHRISTMAS MOM!!! PRETTY PLEASE!!!!
I love this! I don’t s see it working any time soon simply because power lines and people being terrible pilots but the tech itself is amazing.
If you just look at how the average driver is pretty much terrible and has no idea how to really drive a car this could get really ugly fast
Awesome, truly Awesome!
Only the mega rich will be allowed to operate these. Nevermind the insurance
Wow. Can't wait till these things start dropping out of the sky due to idiots doing stupid things with them.
all news agencies share the same writers, all 3 of them. there used to be 187 mainstream news agencies and now there is 3.
Too big... way too noisy. We don't need anymore noisy things in the sky. Keep trying.
Kinda tired of click bait referring to small planes and helicopters as flying cars
Why are they calling this a “flying car”? What part of this is like a car? Is it just the fact that it fits in a garage?
It is not a car or an aircraft. It will have a near-zero market...another gimmick.
Well Mexico has been using flying cars to many years already 😳
can i said somting ?.. make the driver seat below not on top...
What differentiates a flying car from a drone, why is it even called a car in that case
Where do you go for the flying stimulater test in a moving chair?
25 miles per charge
$60k
LMAO no thanks 🤣
Tbh if it used jet fuel it would be cheaper and better for the environment
Make them quite, safe and idiot proof than perhaps it will be ok 🤔
That thing is louder than my ex during Aunt flows visit
Only eight times as loud a normal noisy airplane.
It comes with a 1 million dollar life insurance policy.
who would buy this toy? 25mi range? what a joke
This will never call graph the ground" pun intended. Can you imagine all the people that are on the freeways and highways and the city streets today I'll be in up in the sky with no lines to be in everybody just flying around doing their own directional flying? That would be chaos and millions of people will die. End of story
No one will be "piloting/flying" anything. It will all be done with ultra powerful Ai computers communicating with each other using some kind of hi-tech G6 or G7 wireless transmission. The same thing will be happening on the streets.
Abracadabra alakazam mother-may-i yes I say I want one
Now the skies will sound like a flock of '99 Honda civics
I'm sure planes and helicopters wont like this idea at all
Awesome work!
I think you mean revolution transportation for rich people.
Not necessarily!
@@cameronwhitaker3864 it's 60k and only goes 25 miles on a charge, it's literally a rich persons toy 😂
@@SussyFortskinNiteFreakbob Not in the long term. It’s the beginning of the revolution of flying cars. However, as the flying cars and their technology becomes more abundant they’ll become cheaper. Just think, when cars were first invented only the wealthy people could afford them, but they’ve become more and more cheaper as the revolution continued, just like with airplane and jet tickets.
@@cameronwhitaker3864 And what makes you think that a fat wallet should be a ticket to the use of the NAS? The greater good? I think not!

Flying Car… So it can drive on the asphalt too!
This is not a car or flying one either. This is a big drone.
A flying wasp, get the Raid spray ready. 🦟
Only thing missing...
THE CAR!!!
NO WAY Marcus! Autonomy is where you drone guys are trying to go with this. The NAS goes from the surface up. It is an extreamly regulated and complex space. You violate the rules virtually ever time you fly. If you think Page is going to buy you your personal slice of the NAS....think again. Ain't gonna happen.
I dread the day these populate the skies with all that noise.

If they're ever under 50,000 I'm gonna get one
It’s a helicopter meets car.
Ok….
If you stay single you could afford one.
It’s not that you can’t do it, it’s if you should. Haha
California test site wheee is that located?
Louder than a Harley. No thanks.
This is not meant for the general public...not hard to imagine the chaos this would cause. Military...Police...EMS...that's another story. Anyhow it's still an example of great innovation.
