nice technique a good idea to cook it first for a little bit👍
Omg I didn’t know I had to cook it over the pan like roti first 😱 until I find this video..... thank you Mathew ❤️ I’ll try this today before making for the family
You don't have to but it makes it easier
I prefer this method honestly cause the other method I burn it before I can get enough in the oil to fry I move slow when I’m in the kitchen especially when I’m learning now 😩😩😩😩
Love it
Thank you
Excellent recipe thanks
Thanks!
I hope that you can make Jalibi please .thanks

Guyanese families that I knew never made this. They were from Cottontree, if I'm correct. Is this regional thing in Guyana?
I never knew you can make it this way. My parents, aunts and uncles use the sev maker to make this. This is interesting lol
My grandmother uses the sev maker as well but I don't have one of those. So I did the alternative lmao
Matt omg you remind me of my school days... only yesterday I make mango sour and I try this recipe it came out good.. I eat half of it already
Sounds great!

Hi, thanks for sharing your recipe. Is it possible to store precooked portions in the freezer and fry when necessary? Many thx
You can try it. I’ve never done it before

Can u use besam. Flour. There are only Indian stores here in this state.
I'm sure you can swap it out for besan
Yes, I use besan flour, but use less besan flour.
These are super addicting.
I have to make to carry for my son and firend in Florida
I does normally make chicken foot but I didn't know you can use peas powder and also heat it first before you cut it up to fry when I make my I put green seasoning turmeric and salt
Thanks for sharing I'll try your recipe
Yup you can do all of these. Enjoy
@@matthewsguyanesecooking4601 I had try plenty of your recipe already but not all come out perfect
Tried this this morning, and it came out ok.

Look in my newest videos description boxes. Has all of the links.
It is called mortar and pestle. Walmart or other stores that sell kitchen stuff.
Hi Matthew that was well done
Oh how i want to practise maki.ng some but i cannot get split peas powder to buy in my area. Could i boil the peas and make it?
You soak and grind the peas.
So dhal puri grind peas can be use also?
@@LadyMLord no not the cooked peas
Did you add baking powder
Goodday Mathew, do you know what sadoe and baddam lacha is?
I know what badam lacha is but I don’t know what Sadoe is. Can you tell me more about it?
I like this technique of putting it on the pan first and then cutting it. Will try it. Good job.
Thank you. For sure give it a try
Hello Matthew, beautiful recipe, I'm about to buy that same marble mortar,I was told it's not safe to use, what you think. 🇬🇾🤗🌹
It is safe to use. It is nice and heavy.
@@matthewsguyanesecooking4601 Thanks Matthew

✌🤘👍
I'm going to try this I never make it
Hope you enjoy
I try this recipe and it came out very hard. I was told that i have to add baking powder
They are supposed to be hard and crunchy (do not over fry them that makes them extra hard).
Wine wine win yo bom bom. nice music lovly 👍❤
Thank you Aunty 🙏
Who else liked before they even watched the video🤗
😊😊
I find it easier to cut with a scissors.
Hi wat about plain flour?
Plain flour and all purpose flour are the same things.
Do you know why it's called chicken foot?
I believe because the sticks are very skinny like chicken feet?
🤑
Can’t find Dahl powder here in IA.....any suggestions?
buyeasy.com use my code MGC15
In the Indian section it's called besan flour
Split peas
@@mariabelgrave7467 It is not besan. Besan is made from chickpeas
@@matthewsguyanesecooking4601 yes you are correct but it works just as good. I live in India & I use it to make my Guyanese food.
I noticed you didn't use baking powder.
Baking powder doesn't allow it to get super crunchy
You sound like a Matthew... and your food looks like a Matthew made it. Great video bai!
Too much work. I need somebody to make that for me to buy. How did my grandmother make this like it was nothing. YUMMO!
Very simple process. Hope you try it out
Is it just me I don't see any chicken or any chicken foot what is going on here
Plantain chips
Can I see the recipe not find it here
In the description box right below the video
Sal sev has a diff taste from chicken foot. Chicken foot is thinner too.
