Guyanese moms and grandmothers are a gem. They make everything look so effortless. Big up to your mom and you for sharing this recipe. Looks delicious!
My mother was Montserratian but was very good friends with a Guyanese lady and her family. Over the years, Miss Iona would make lovely Mithai and Easter buns and gift these to our family. Your mum 's Mithai reminds me of the delicious Mithai, Miss Iona used to make. It looks lovely . I can't wait to try it for myself.
Mom hands makes everything taste sweeter. It looks so yummy. Thank you mom for sharing your recipe. God bless you and your family 🙏❤️ . Blessings from Trinidad 🇹🇹

Hello Jehan. Thanks so much for uploading this. This is the easiest video by far about Mithai. Im teaching my British born daughter about her Guyanese heritage and mithai is the first on our list. Your Mum's mithai look sooo good. Im sure they were delicious! The syrup was always such a bug bear for me. Im glad you explained how to know when its ready. Continued blessings to you and your lovely family x
Yesterday was the first time I tried Mithai from Sybil's on Hillside Avenue in Queens New York and it was delicious. Your recipe looks great and I can't wait to try it. I'll let you know this weekend!
Peace Ms Jehan, So thankful for this easy video. I am hoping to make this soon for my family. This is one of those good snacks I always love to eat but just couldn’t really figure out how it’s made. I am wondering can the sugar syrup can be made with brown sugar instead, and still be as delicious ?
