Wow, I posted this video a very long time ago! We had this video filmed at Betty's memorial service as a remembrance of the event. So happy to see that so many of you are finally seeing it for a first time and enjoying it so much!
This was great. I was recently reading about her personal struggles in life. So sad. Is it true that her 3 daughters did not attend her funeral? Of course, I did not know her in real life, per she had great stage presence and was a bundle of energy!
I happened across a link to her final interview with Robert Osborne. Before, my only knowledge of Betty was her great "Annie Get Your Gun" role. Im in my 60's, and can't understand how I've missed her films over the years. I'm another fan, now.
What a talent! She was unique in so many ways. That smooth silky voice. They just don’t visit this earth like they used to. Long gone are the real talents.
I didn’t know about this fabulous talented women until now. What a talented, endless energy you were Ms. Hutton! Your singing is smooth as silk. No one sings “It had to be you” like YOU! Going to search for her movies. Just love her. Thank you for this video. RIP Betty Hutton.
She was an amazing soul. She enlightened me as a child watching replays of her films back in the 1960s. Her joy and enthusiam in those old movies cheered my spirit like no performer ever.
I saw Betty Hutton in her movies in my early childhood years. Thank you Betty for your talent that you shared with us. Seeing your funeral service made me sad but also happy that I got to experience your performances in your movies. You will be missed.❤
I was delighted to find this online--I discovered her movies late in my life & she blew me away with her talent,. I realize she had a sad life & wish I could've met her!
Betty Hutton gave one of the most touching professions of the Catholic faith on TCM Private Screenings. Bob Woodhouse was a gentlemanly host and allowed her to tell her story though it was a bit lengthy. It was absolutely beautiful. Rest in peace, Betty. Thanks for the memories.
Betty Hutton was one of the biggest movies stars of the 40's & 50's . Everyone loved her. She had that kind of personality that jumoed off of the screen. Betty's performances in "Annie Get Your Gun" , "The Perials of Pauline" and "The Greatest Show On Earth" are my favorite films with her . I also saw her stage show that she did here in Chicago, Il.
Beloved a true talent. Betty Hutton 🌟I personally cherish my autograph, I purchased on eBay. 🥰 Dear Soul - Betty Hutton U were one of R Greatest Shows on Earth🙏God Son Holy Spirit Knows, you are now in Kingdom of Heaven🕊️
I saw Annie get your gun when I was real young and I never forgot it. I didn't know who played Annie..but I loved her portral of Annie.. she was so camp but sweet! Too bad she didn't feel loved!
She was always a bright shining star in our home. Dad really got a kick out of her reverse glamour! She seemed as though she was a real hoot, attractive as heck but not threatening to other women. Very funny and at the same time charming and a great singer even as she was sure that she wasn't. Result in peace, lovely Betty. 🙏🏼♥️
Wow! My Mom loved her and when I saw her on the screen, she wowed me. She wowed me when she was candid about her conversion to Catholicism and her search for peace with her turbulent life and loss. She was a truly unique talent and her energy that captivated generations of fans.. She was a true an American legend.

I wish I had known Betty in her private life. She had such a tough upbringing, yet she was able to make it out of poverty to find the success that she had always dreamed of. She was missing love in her life. I’ve had some struggles myself, and I know how important it is to feel loved. I wish somehow I could thank her for lifting my spirits during the tough times, and I wish that I could have given her comfort during her tough times. Betty will always be loved ❤️.
I watched Betty's final interview and when she remembered her time shooting Annie Get your Gun she said that she was not treated very well because everyone was wanting Judy Garland back. It was not a happy memory for her sadly.
Just discovered her online.Wow@ what talent $ Energy..Paramount " Black Listed her" For walking out..What were they thinking? Oh@ God has a place for her children for Abandoning their mother.. We All have sinned. Matthew 143: 2. Deuteromeny says: : " Honor your farther and Mother".
According to Betty's book, Paramount treated her decently. It was when she was loaned to MGM for Annie Get Your Gun that MGM disrespected her very badly. She never fully recovered from her experience at MGM and it wasn't long before she even tore up her Paramount contract because Paramount refused to let her husband direct her upcoming film.

RIP Betty
From the first moment I saw her as Annie Oakley, I fell in love with her completely.
Didn't recognize anyone here. I know her 3 daughters didn't show. Maybe fans or people from the church she went to. She was a blast.
ALL OUR ❤️

Are her daughters there?
I've read in here they did not attend.
Was Betty's three daughters in attendance at Miss Hutton's Memorial Service?
