Hopefully I’ll be on your list in a few years.
An other tip for you guys to in fm23 see when ur in a contract negotiation in add ons u will see extension I put in is contract is 3year had ro is deal u get to keep the player longer plus u won't need to worry about ur player for a long time. Plus remove yearly wage rises and cut the apps fee on players the are on big wages. Like top players are. Nice video jake 👍
Is there a way we're tackles don't get punished as much, I'm picking up so many bookings any tips for this ?
@James Chapman take off get stuck in. In the tactics screen that will help players from getting sent off or red carded I hope that helps
Also - when entering contract negotiations, always add a 'Optional contract extension'
It's useful when you're a lower league club & can just trigger that when moving up the leagues
Hey mate. Great tips, really handy! Would be great if time stamps or chapters were added to the video as I intend to come back to this video to remind me when I’m next playing FM 23. Love your work - it’s great content. Currently watching your Leicester City save on your personal channel and learning lots! 👍😊
10:00 Persuade to Leave > *Player disagrees* > "Can we negotiate a little?" > Then give them a price to agree always works for me.
6) Try not to let your channel get hacked by crypto scammers.
Video idea 💡
Would love to see a comparison between manual scouting and having the best possible chief of scout doing it.
Curious if doing it manually actually pays off 🤨
I would just remove clauses in most negotiations. Going straight to remove & exclude is a good way to break down negotiations very quickly.
Seems like signing players is worse then ever demanding everything and unrealistic clauses
unless you're playing in the spanish leagues. cant get rid of them there
for the yearly wage rise in particular: Ive found that lowering the yearly raise is likely better to try and put it to 5%. Every time i remove it entirely they always come back with a WAY higher wage....5% of a 50k contract is 2.5k for the first year wage rase, slightly more from then on. I found that having that yearly increase even at 5% adds alot of "negotiating points" for lack of a better term and prevents the example player from bumping their salary demand up to like 75K a year which is hard to come down from. So overall leaving that in but locking it at 5% im pretty sure gives me the least amount of money spent over the duration. I will have to pay closer attention to that though cuz im just explaining my theory and the way i do things and justify it haha thanks for the vid mate. I think I try to lock in salary as well when i do that but should definitely be careful of making them immediately walk away.
Fair point. I tend to remove it. I will try the 5%.
My favourite tip is when in contract negotiations and you have a team that is not gonna win the champions keague, you can add bonus for wining the champions league and putting it on max, then, you can lower the wage by pretty a lot.
I just think FM 22 is kinda easy so they decided to make FM23 deliberately harder. So sick of crushing opponents on xG but end up losing so many times.
Onggg
"Blast the ball into the back of the net" is very useful for strong players. Kessie was giving me 15/20 goals a season in FM22 with that trait and 'goes forward whenever possible.'
thanks for the tips and your other videos. santa brought this old git fm2023 . first time i`ve played fm. after lots of applications i finally landed a job with dulwich hamlet . a win and two draws to start so i`m hooked now.
Welcome back! Must admit I was away from YT & missed all the kerfuffle, but still pleased to see you continuing
If you offer the max range of the salary they ask for you can remove most if not all of the bonus clauses and save on expenses, 1 player here and there insists on a certain bonus clause but making the match those clauses end up costing you more in the long run than offering a slightly higher wage from the get go.
Played the game for years but I always appreciate the additional tips. Great video!
About the risks of offering a player out, it's a good idea to chat with them before offering, because, from what I observed, they will always accept discussing a transfer value. Keep in mind they'll never accept a contract offer until the promise runs out, though...
Great video as always, Been playing since Championship Manager days and I'm still learning, Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the video and advice and all the comments which are super helpful. I’m very old school and first ventured into football manager with Championship Manager 97/98 which no doubt was detriment to my school performance! Can anyone please recommend a football manager game where it’s kinda old school as in buy/sell players, pick the team and off you go. Any advice on this would be most welcome.
I doubt there are any. I Miss the old interfaces too.
I remember I started benching Dalot and Lindelof to the point that both became non-selections for their countries, even Sancho (tier 3 in dynamics) got super annoyed, to the point that I have to edit it out.
They've taken all the prompts out of the console version. I loved switch (touch) last year but they stripped console back that much to last I probably wouldn't buy any other version to pc. Bit sad as last years touch was fun. Few awesome tips.
Nice to see you back !!!
Thanks man! - Jake
Mistakes that you have to avoid not just in FM23. Since FM17 Player Traits got properly connected with the Match Engine , Dynamics has been introduced in FM18.....So , It's very useful for FM19, FM20, FM21 and FM22, as well 🙂👏👏👌
Promises are awful! My star striker had a promise that he would play as a pressing forward. When he didn’t play this exact role (keep in mind he was still starting every game) he freaked out. So then I played him in this role but he didn’t notice and kept complaining!
I always forget about traits, but at the same time never really understood their impact. Might be a good thing to do a vid on maybe? Is Max doing stuff with you guys? If so, this sounds like something right up his street.
Youre a beast bro, glad youre back slingin out hot saucy content
This was a very helpful video for new football manager 2023 players (that’s gotta help the algo!)
Haha thanks man! I sure hope it will - Jake
I've only been playing a week and did the first season with Man City a few times. A mistake I made was spending all my money on a Bellingham and Oshimen. I learned the best two signings to make was Alfonso Davis and Girroud. Top signings
One tip about dynamics - if your best player wants to leave, but has a lot of time left on the contract, and comes to complain to you -> DON'T LET HIM LEAVE. Why? Because nobody in the club, not even his teammates, want the best player to leave, and in that case, you get better dynamics by refusing rather than allowing him to leave. I've done that with Šutalo in Dinamo, the man's in contract jail his entire life. Oh, and avoid release clauses, if you can.
I am happy to see you are thinking as i do regarding yearly wage increase it is not me who is too greedy lol
Hi Jake: Question: what is your opinion on the advice the game is giving you in the popup boxes, are they reliable to follow or do we need to be hesitant to accept them?
I wonder if anyone actually enjoys the dynamics part of this game. I used to work in management and of course a big part of it is keeping everyone happy.
But this is a video game and it's supposedly about football. Why would anyone want to manage personalities and feelings in a video game...
Thanks for the help I have fell back in love with fm 23
How do you get the recent Match analysis in your tactics screen?
Welcome back! Thanks for all the help.
it's great that you are back!
Salt & Chilli chicken. Good to have you back.
Legend! - Jake
Am really glad that fmscout is now back up
Some great tips in here
Welcome back, now lets get those videos flowing :D
hitting the comment button for the algo. Had pork roast for dinner
Legend thanks mate! - Jake
A useful video. Welcome back!
I also add in a contract to a good player 3 years extension on top a a 5 year contract.
I think the tactics one is great for me due to the fact I keep leaking goals and then I panic change my formation but I think it's the fear of me being sacked more than anything
How did you get to view the recent match analysis under the formations and tactics
A couple of pieces of haddock with poached eggs on top.
Great video as always! :)
Attacker: Scores 57 goals in a season.
Manager: You should play with your back to the goal.
Very useful, thanks!
Welcome back
Football manager God this guy
Keep up the great work m8
The promotion wage rise is a bugger to watch out for in contract talks always avoid that! In My opinion welcome back!!
in the belgian league there is some like minimum foreign salary and I committed to like 6-7 contracts of players if 1.5k pw wasn’t going to sign all of them but was just prepping the deals i went on holiday for like a week and came back to being like 40% over my wage budget and it fucked my finances completely and i had to start a different save 🤦♂️🤦♂️
My tip: don't lose your temper like I did after getting bundled out of the FA Cup. Blew the crap out of my team, threw the bottle, told defence, midfield, attack I was furious with them. Then stripped my captain of the captaincy and along with half the side transfer listed them hahaha I am probably going to be sacked
Welcome back! :)
Over 1 and half minutes of intro. Good lord have mercy on my soul.
Helping the algorithm 👍
thanks
Is there any videos about how to handle the media well? I really struggle with it.
Add a timeline, please. I don't want to watch what I know. Thank you for the videos.
Great content. Keep going.
A 5 month late question..... Do promises carry over to the next manager? If I make a bunch of promises then resign or get fired does the next manager have to deal with it?
Promises killed so many of my squads. I started in tier 10 so every player had locked in promise to upgrade the training facilities but there was zero way we could afford to so they'd get annoyed
Welcome back 🎉
Just made a piece of toast and a cup of tea… my guy great vid
Should a jaded player continue playing matches or should he be rested and for how long please
I remove all bonuses and clauses other than an increase after a set amount of games for young players only
W vid!
Lets get the algo back to where it was pre hack
Fingers crossed! - Jake
Great tips
TBH i just wanted to play FM and searched for 2007 version as that was the best football era for me. Is it possible to have just that simple match animation (bird view) in 2023 version... which we had way back...This match animation looks terrible.
I never had a team where everybody was happy. If you sell one that wants to go the others are not happy. if you don't sell him he is unhappy. If you say its ok to sell him maybe no club wants him because his wage is to high... sometimes you can not make promises real... sometimes they want to go because you are not successful..
Ignore staff recommendations for individual training, I kept agreeing and have a few unhappy players now 😂
Thankyou
Are some of these options like dynamics not available on console version? Can't say I have ever seen the option.
Hi I love channel I just got fm for Christmas but sure wot tactic to use for my team arsenal
I never give yearly wage rises. Or international cap bonus.
Enjoying your vids mate nice points to reflect on
Need urgent help..... PC is quitting automatically when i am starting the game
Merry Christmas for All ! : D
Do your guides an videos work on the xbox aswell
Hey great video, what is the skin you use please
I had corn flakes this morning 👍
3:57 Or, you could ask for his suggestion.
In other terms: welcome to primadonna simulator.
Can’t you make a video of Lazar Samardzic 5 years into the future?
Turkey and Gammon and Chocolate Log for pudding
Slow cooked beef with all the trimmings
I had some hackers as lunch
I'm struggling on ps5 this is different on pc
greetings how do you show all that information on the tactics screen?
what happened to that belgian-baltic gangsta?
How do you speed up going on holiday?
Can someone please tell me what Skin is being used in the video ????
Appreciate the video but I don't think it needs to be 17 minutes long. I'd wager you would get more views and engagement if you can shorten the videos to get to the 10 minute mark
Also promises can be tricky. For your example yes the player was still willing to sign after you removed the promises, but his interest bar went way down. Which means if he has other clubs offering him contracts you would have to overpay in order to sign him. This is then made worse if you afterwards remove clauses as to offset that you would have to raise his salary even more. So in the end you would be overpaying him significantly.
I would not say avoid promises and clauses, they can be quite helpful if used properly. Instead I would say be careful in how you use them and be selective with it. Their usefulness or risk will be largely dependent on the context of the user's club and circumstance.
i like the skin you're using, where can i get it?
what would i do if it doesnt let me to disucss a new traite
Lewis hall is asking to leave how do I solve this
why doesn't my tactics screen show the Analysis?
Is it ok to ask what skin you are using instead of posting what we had for dinner? :D
It’s the Tato skin! - Jake
