I hate that APple changed "System Preferences' to "System Setting" and the whole layout is different now. THey just rendered millions of helpful UA-cam tutorials useless to finding things. Super frustrated.
I had this problem on an iMac late 2015. None of these options worked for me. I had to reset the NVRAM manually. Here's what I did: Turn off your machine. Then turn it on and press Option + Command + P + R. You should see your machine reboot a second time.
I have been trying for weeks to fix this glitch. You are the ONLY resource I have found to have a correct Solution. Thank you for your time to send this. d~
Thank you so much! Everyone had the same three suggestions which didn't apply to me. You were the first one to go deeper into the issue and resolve hte problem. I had to run a system update and restart. I appreciate your vid!
If you can’t see corebrightness do this: 1- Open System Preferences 2- Open Activity Monitor and make sure “CPU” is selected. 3- Open System Preferences on Activity Monitor > Sample> refresh. 4- Search corebrightness you will see it , if not then reopen Activity Monitor.
ye, but i guess they removed it and changed to battery setting under battery as a power supply, first box under that u got option "slightly dim the screen"
12.5.1 Preferences / "Energy Saver" no longer exists, and corebrightness no longer exists. Solution, if the others don't work, now - it's secretly hidden by Apple, find in Preferences / Battery / Battery / “Slightly dim the display while on battery power …” - turn that off
Why just apple cannot fix this bug. I have it on my mac and iPhone. For unknown reason whole page goes insanely bright, sometimes only an element on the page. This is fu** up Apple!
