Turned out great George! Thank you for all your research it makes it easy for me to watch your videos and create a project. To date, I have made three Opinel knife sheaths, two SAK pouches, covered two hobby knives with leather, a knife slip for my 84mm Tinker small, and now I am making a sheath for Mr Opinel saw. Thanks for all the help.
Wow. Thanks great 👍. Glad to hear others are doing it. Be safe out there
I went "on the cheap" with my work platform by going to a local countertop place and got some sink cutouts.
Worked well, maybe you could try that too, they are usually free.
Whoa...nice. maybe that'll work. The real problem is the shed moves too....lol. thanks for the tip appriciated. Be safe out there
Nice work....love the rich brown color. Fits the saw great.
Thankyou. Much appriciated as always. Be safe out there...
Opinel for the price a lovely little knife ☘️☘️
Yep, can't Beat the value for sure. Thanks for watching always appriciated 👍
Getting better by the day!!
I'm trying....lol. thanyou
Love that SPAM hat. I want one.
I’m making a sheath for my no12 and I’m half way through, thanks for your video mate, helps immensely 👍🏻👍🏻
Lol...so apparently does everyone....glad I could help. I am learning and just take my time. Go online to Spam museum then gift shop. You can get the hats there...I live about an hour away from there....do my yearly clothes shopping there...lol. be safe out there
Very nice, came out the same color as Mary, thanks for the video, George, really interesting project.

Oh by the way I love your knife reviews but it's fun to watch your project reviews also because it gives me ideas to try
Thankyou. Got some knives coming in soon....I hope...lol. be safe 😁

You too my friend. Thanks for stopping by
Damn good job buddy! ❤
Well dammit I do try....lol. just trying to improve everytime I do a leather project. Discovered the leather you choose is kinda important....lol. thanks again for the support
Yes George looking good , getting better that’s for sure, just a thought how about waxing the sheath ! Take care
Huh..I have not. Waterproof?
👍🏻
Thanks 😊 apprciate you always stopping by.
Good morning I have a question have you ever tried a saddle stitch I found that works the best on stitching for sheaths and it's really easy to get a straight stitch because you can see the row as you're doing it if you don't know the saddle stitch there's tons of UA-cam videos on how to do
Yep been watching them...lol. thanks for watching
Nice job, George. Stitching is always a real challenge. I see lots of commercially made belts, etc. With edges that are not burnished. Terrible.
Yep, burnishing makes a big difference. Be safe
@@2ndchancegeorge It takes a little longer, but the result is more durable and appealing to the eye.
By the way, Harbor Freight sells an anvil that gets pretty good reviews on line. Check it out.
I can’t find a #12. Any where
Try opinel USA site they have a #12
@@2ndchancegeorge I found it thank you
@bblack316 glad to hear. Be safe
SCG. LEATHER WORKS ! WELL done George !
