Thank you! This will be very helpful as an aspirational collector myself, only a few years in and learning everyday!

An interesting development. I will check it out along with other published index information. Always useful to have data driven information rather than the anecdotal information from so called experts, many of whom have been found out over the last year or so,

I've never bought a watch because its price was "low". I don't see watches as some kind of investment, you know, like stocks or whatever. Ultimately, it's about having it on your wrist to check the time, not stashing it away in a bank vault.

You could say the same when it comes to Cars, Sneakers, baseballs etc. - A watch is a collectible item and being that a fact, I think Chrono24 is just filling a gap. This also gives people who really just want to buy a watch to wear the possibility to look if a certain model is now on the peak or not. This can save a lot of people money. To sum it up, this is a great tool, for regular buyers, collectors and sellers.

I find this information fascinating even though I largely agree with your assessment. But part of enjoying a watch is knowing that you weren’t fleeced when you bought it.

I personally think vintage Longines is still very underrated. Just so many incredible models under 2000 usd.

how do you compare this to lets say, Watchcharts?

I’d say this is their answer to it. Measuring their index based on actual sales data.
