I caught that too! I was a medic in the 1/15 mechanized infantry and drove an M113A1 APC and the top hatch is the track commander. But in his defense a civilian isn't going to know that

THE DUDE IS NOT A DRIVER HE IS THE COMMANDER!!!!
Dustin : The man occupying the turret top hatch is the tank commander, wearing communications head set to talk to the crew and have radio communications with other tanks. The Germans were the first to have radio communications between tanks. The driver is located in the tank body, under the hatch, below and to the left of the gun barrel. The gunner is in the tank body, under the hatch to the right of the gun barrel. He also fires the coaxial machine gun, located directly in front on him. The loader is inside the tank under and to the right of the tank commander. ;-)

Upgrade to Steel Gears. The Plastic strips easy. Plastic is ok for indoor use. Use CA on attached parts.
@@maddog57ful The Tiger I originally had was the version with the steel gear box, drive gear and tracks. That thing was a best because of what it was capable of going over and climbing. The new Tiger I got is fully upgraded to metal when it comes to the drive system and the suspension.

you could have a tank patrolling the property autonomously, that is the dream.
You know when you got stuck and went into reverse..... why didn't you turn the turret and camera around?

+didactylos4 diddy4 I guess I could have done that but I got out by just full throttle in reverse luckily. I did a range test afterwards and made it down past my other neighbors house further down the road until control hot choppy.
A little brief history of the Tiger I, there were three models, Early, Mid, and Late, what you have is the Early Production and a total of 1,350 Tiger Is were produced.

Masters of Flight Nicholas Zorc , all three are just called Tiger. The tiger P is a different model and the King Tiger/Tiger II is also a different model. The one he has is the early model because it has the short 88mm gun.
We actually have two infrared RC tanks of this scale and mounting an FPV camera with the visor to duke it out in combat in the yard sounds like a ton of fun XD The visors are so expensive though.
Nothing worth while ever comes cheap or easy.

Dustin : Nice tank. The FPV really is a great idea. Makes it like you were really driving the tank. A 200Mw version probably wouldn't have the break up. Good video.

FUN FACT. That's the H1 variant with the tall cupola. The Tiger E has a shorter one and a different suspension system
I love this tank. Going to take it to the tank rc museum were people can drive and show your rc car,boat,tank,helikopter and plane IF it has something to do with ww1/ww2
SMOKE OIL WAS NOT INCLUDED BECAUSE OF AIR SHIPPING LIMITATIONS. WHEN YOU BOUGHT YOUR TANK ONLINE, YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THE DESCRIPTION MORE CAREFULLY.

I just went on Amazon and found that smoke oil costs 45$ a bottle. Lol
You can get smoke oil directly from the manufacturer for 14$
Got one of these, drove it 3-4 times on concrete, then the gearbox shat its pants 10/10 too much realism

Hey I got that tank but it is BB version and it's tracks is a metal version and nice tank.
I'd be tempted to airbrush it. Make it more damaged looking, add some dirt.

Hey Dustin, that was extremly big fun to watch your review. I'm not into tanks (even if it's a German one) but this perspective by sticking the fpv cam on it made my day. All the best and peace from Germany to Hawaii! Was not expecting that German tanks would reach this spot in the world... 😁

Ingo Behrendt check out my videos I installed a FPV from my old quadcopter inside the tank and installed the 4.5 screen above my controller it works great
@@DustinDunnill would you recommend bringing this to a airsoft field?
If I'm not wrong - this is a "fake antenna", as it is not connected to the receiver (at least in my T-34/85) in 2.4GHz version (receiver includes internal quite small antenna inside).
Also there are a lot problems with driving T-34 on sand: tiny grains can get into mechanism and damage them (I had to buy a new tower, as ASG was damaged, also gears for rotating tower had to be cleaned).
The tank is not supposed to be driven on sand. The instruction manual says not to.

Might want to think about adding some to scale weight or something, seems too sensitive to control for a tank imo.

Chaps I noticed that there are FPV cameras with wifi capability that connects to your smartphone and ver 6.0 or later main board (through one of the ports on the main board) for something similar to Dustin’s arrangement

The guy on top of the tank was the commander there's a commander a Gunner a loader assistant driver and driver the drivers in front on the left side of the tank the assistant driver is on the right side of the tank the place of the commander Gunner and loader depend on the tank
The only thing missing on this RC model is the shitty and faulty transmission and suspension.

that was awesome in fpv, i feel the metal upgrades would be a must for fpv as you cant hear if your breaking it and would be peace of mind and lets face it, its more fun when you have less things to worry about. great review. thumbs up from me
the tracks from the back idle come off from mine. dont know what could be the problem..never buying this tank again..im going for the abraham next time

The airsoft cannon is not powerful because then the company will get sued for some kid getting their eye pierced
They won’t get sued because of the warning labels they have so they can win if they for some reason ever get sued
Two or three drops of RWS Pure Silicone Oil. Makes a big difference. Tilt Straight up, engage cannon fire control just to the point of release, drop 2-3 drops of Pure Silicone Oil. RWS preferred.

Hey Dustin, Had the same exact tank. Was loads of fun for about a year, then the battery female connector kept disconnecting from the battery connector causing my tank to stop dead in its tracks (pun) intended. So now it’s sitting in my unused model room on display. Thought about getting another one, but my preference are now quads. Still loving my Mavic, no camera issues with mine. Keep up your reviews with land & flight Rc’s. Did you ever get the latest polar pro filters for the Mavic?

They can give you smoke oil I got the exact same tank and everything they just forgot to give you some smoke oil
If you got it from banggood it does not include the oil for the smoke oh and those rockets on the turrets are smoke grenades for the smoke screen
They dont put the smoke oil is not included. Because liquid is not allowed by the carriers for security reasons

Turret recoil is cool!
problem is , that isn't even the driver. that is the commander. the driver is usually on the left front side of the hull of the tank (the bottom part next to the tank tracks)
