I can relate to what he said about the last moments with his dad. My dad died very suddenly from a heart attack and the last time I saw him he followed me to my car to say goodbye and was telling me a joke. It was neatly 22 years ago but I can picture it with complete clarity. Always grateful our last words together were happy 😊
MINE ALSO ROUTINE HEART SURGERY
My husband almost died from sudden cardiac arrest.
After suffering from SVT (SupraVentricular Tachycardia) for _more than a f**king _hour_ and _thirty_ minutes, he was injected with _adenosine triphosphate._
With _that_ administered, his heart momentarily stopped and was reset.
He gasped for air.
Panicked...
He was _so_ scared!
Needless to say, he _survived!_
Won't keep rambling, buy I'm _so_ glad for his recovery!
Moral:
Life is _short!_
Treasure it.
Bye!
Hearing the guitar play the series theme while sheldon packed up his room was so nice and suttle. At first I thought it was the big bang theme.
Especially when young Sheldon nicely packed his train set.
Wait... it was the young sheldon theme not the big bag. I rewatch that part just to make sure.
@@ralphreyes8398yea I was hella confused too I instantly went back to see the episode was really good & simple I can’t wait for Georgie’s series 💯
@FabianHrdz602 I hope I'm wrong, but Georgie & Mandy's series might suck.
During the commercial break, Montana Jordan who plays Georgie said the new series was going to be filmed in a way that he wasn't used to with multiple cameras and a studio audience.
That might have been OK with The Big Bang Theory but it will feel strange with Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage which is also too long of a title.
@@andrewweisneck1102 No worries, it will be even better without Sheldon now. If they had a spinoff on Sheldon and Amy, that would have sucked without the other Big Bang characters.
I loved the Penny mention and that sheldons son is interested on sports rather than studies is somehow hilarious and sheldons daughter is interested in actong because penny babysit them is so hilarious
you he basically has a George and Missy to raise, nice mirror of him and his fathers struggles to understand each other
He blames Penny, but maybe she just takes after Aunt Missy in some ways.
@kristinazubic9669 she takes after penny and missy in that way I just love how his own son and daughter didn't take after them and takes after their uncles/aunts. Leonard being named after Leonard and takes after Georgie and their daughter takes after Penny and Missy.
I don’t think it was stated that Leonard wasn’t smart, only that he wanted to play sports.
Realistically Sheldon would not have more than one kid and maybe at age 2 from the time Big Band Theory ended. Penny was expecting a child and would be busy raising her own with Leonard..
Iain was perfect casting. Also he is just a good guy.
I loved at the end of the episode, They played "Walk of Life", just like they did on the first scene of the fist episode.
Yeah, I realized that and it was great
Though bringing in Amy in the mix seems irrelevant from the start of this series!
@@justme9794oh i disagree. It emphasises how far sheldon had come as a character and highlighted the transition
fr
@@northernexciles01 That’s true, but I just can’t picture Sheldon interest in writing a memoir. That story kind of threw it out on his character.
Iain Armitage is exceptionally well spoken.
He's remarkably intelligent. He speaks nine different languages to varying degrees of proficiency.
Everyone call your folks say sorry, hello, love you, have dinner together, cherish each day with family.
this.
I have seen many people comment about how Sheldon will always remember his father's death with perfect clarity and that it is so sad.
I look at it from another angle: Sheldon will remember virtually every moment he spent with his dad with perfect clarity.
Most of us have a handful of childhood memories, of things that really stand out. Sheldon will be able to remember those important moments, but he will also be able to recall so much more. All the little "mundane" things Iain mentions here will be with Sheldon forever.
I would say that's pretty awesome.
Kind of sad that he remember his dad as a cheater even though it wasn't true.
@@KhoaTran-tt7wq yeah, but given that older Sheldon narrates the show (where it's revealed George *didn't* cheat), he obviously discovers the truth at some point following TBBT.
Missy and Billy Sparks seemed to think George cheated.
I just watched the finale. A whole lot of us know what it’s like to lose someone close to us. If I’ve learned anything is that whether we like it or not, grief hurts, but it has to. It’s like if you break your arm and you don’t know if you’ll ever be able to do your favorite activity again and you have to go to the hospital and have a cast put on it so it could heal correctly, stronger and it can be something you can talk about. Grief is the same. You have to deal with it so it can pass, and then you’re stronger
Where can I watch the finale ?

the mirror universes bit really got me in the feels
Who else was surprised finding out Sheldon named his kids after Leonard and Penny?
I knew he named him Leonard but I thought it was after nimoy

@@catlover2652he actually did named his son after Leonard Nimoy
He already stated that was NOT TRUE @@MrDeeboi33

Hard to believe the show is over
Ikr? 😢
the show was always there for us. i remember watching it back in 2018 and i was obsessed with it. stopped watching it for some time and continued watching it a few years ago and it still gave me the warmth i felt when i first watched it. saw the last episode right now. I'm kinda satisfied with the ending. It's subtle. Ep13 almost got me in tears. The acting was immaculate. The emotions portrayed by the actors felt genuine. I'm not hoping too much from the Georgie and Mandy spinoff, but I'll be happy to see the cast again every once in a while.
Endings are always really difficult.
They try too hard and bringing in older Sheldon with Amy multiple times kind of spoiled the final plot.
@@justme9794 why?
@@y_ssy2 I just felt the ending should have showed Jim Parsons (older Sheldon) visit their empty house at the end and leave it to that. The Sheldon and Amy appearances in the later years seem a distraction while the Coopers grieving. They're kind of trying to bring back a glimpse of the Big Bang Theory with Amy. Do you agree?
@@justme9794At first, I actually thought Sheldon and Amy were living in Sheldon's childhood home when Sheldon came out to sit in his spot next to his father's chair.
@@andrewweisneck1102 No, Mary sold the house long before and moved as shown in a Big Bang Theory episode visiting his home but they flubbed on it saying that was Sheldon’s room back then.
Ian is such a cutie I love how he says Miss and Mr ahead of adults names 🥰 So nice to see a well raised respectful young person!
We have all had favorite TV programs that we have cherished in our lives, and felt a little empty inside when they ended. Especially when they had an amazing cast and writing staff. They were only fictional characters,...but they were also friends who we looked forward to seeing every week. They made us laugh, and they made us cry. They made our lives a little more enjoyable.
Thank you to the writers, cast and crew of Young Sheldon for sharing this amazing show with us all. Endings are always hard (thank God for syndication),...but there are also new beginnings to look forward to with Georgie and Mandy this Fall.
I think I can put away my box of tissues now.😌
I have never been to a funeral where every family member eulogizes. In real life, the immediate family is too grief stricken.
When my grandfather died in 2006, every family member eulogized (about 40 of us, kids, grandkids, in-laws, extended). Some short; some long; but it was 5 hours I will always remember.
Depends, I’ve heard of immediate family giving eulogies. However when my mom died when I was 22 neither my sister or I spoke at her memorial. But everyone grieves differently. I really loved the finale and how it was written filmed and acted. You come away really understanding more why Sheldon and his family became who they were in TBBT, especially Mary!
I was just at a cousins funeral where every immediate family did just that. It was really well done.
I roasted with a top 10 list of my dad
It's really hard for family members to talk about Thier loved one. My pastor friend passed away and her daughters had a hard time talking about mom and it was heartbreaking. I told my parents I couldn't do it when they go. It's very hard
I thoroughly liked this interview, and both Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. Iain Armitage is very eloquent and talented. Iain and his co-stars can go far in their careers whatever they decide after the series!
These episodes made me cry as it reminded me of my dads funeral at the same age during the covid times
We need Sheldon the college years. Then later we need tbbt the later years.
I would love a TTBT special once in a while, but not like the friends one, a sort of one hour episode update sort of thing
@@vaseline69 i was disappointed when i saw the friends reunion. I expected it to be more like a 20 years later kinda show where they just show what's going on in their lives and so so. But it was just the 'actors' catching up. I hope they do something different for Tbbt.
@@user-hv7ud5gi8l I hope they do what you suggest a catch up episode and not a reunion
Last two episodes were heartbreaking... I wished it never ended..
The finale was rushed. We needed another episode or two to get closure and let the Beloved characters establish themselves a bit in their new lives without George
I agree 100%
I agree 100%
that's true. I expected a bit more from the finale. They could've done something good with it.
You always have to leave some things to the imagination. Never show everything
We will see that in the new Georgie and Mandy show.
Beginning to understand why Mary was so bitter with George and how little help Pastor Jeff and his church was in this. Also see why Missy and Mary are estranged. Her father died and her mother focused on the church instead of her. Hoping for long successful careers for all the young actors.
when Missy shouted "shut up jeff" I was "Go Missy" like I was on Ricky Lake
My dad does the same. Any problem he goes back to the God instead of being with us and solving it. Sometimes all I need is his presence. He cares about us a lot but his way of showing care is praying and praying. It just isolates us with him and helps none.
Also tells us to do the same. I personally believe God isn't responsible for all the Goods and the Bads. Even if he is, if I think that way I won't be able to do anything myself so better to believe it's in my hands and work my way from there and definitely pray to God that way
I love how they used walk of life at the end just like how it started
“Almost 20 years now” THAT made me pause- thinking no, it couldnt be that long… then realizing it nearly has. WOW i feel old now, spending all my teenage years with Big Bang. Oof.
I love when adult Sheldon suddenly realizes that the greatest gift his parents gave him was they made sure he had a normal childhood which is priceless
His childhood was nowhere near normal.
I just love this interview!
Great job on the ending! Very sad because it probably hit home for most of us, the anger, the what if’s and wish you could have done something different. Great actors and writers to make us feel it so much. I loved both of the shows, looking forward to the new spinoff should be just as good!!
RIP George ! Love you!
At this time I am checking Google maps for a town called Medford and looking up a street where the Coopers could be living. It just feels that real
Amazing young man with so much talent and fortitude ... he will go far.
I really thought the ending would be Sheldon sitting down for his first class knowing he's the smartest one in the room only for Paige to sit next to him.
😂 That would have been funny!
I'd like to entertain this possibility that Paige moved away from her emotional-wreck parents and Texas and began her new life as Elizabeth Plimpton.
Those last 3 episodes were painful and so real to watch. I felt their pain, mostly Sheldon's. Great job to all of them!
This young man is an incredible actor!
Iain all the world is ahead.Make the most of it.Wish you all the success in the world in what ever you choose to do❤
I CRIED SO MUCH, I just finish watching the season finale: . I always say I love you to my hubby before work and little 10 yr old before school. No matter if I'm upset or mad at them.. You never know what life brings to you
good habit to have we need that in the world
And i decided to rewatch TBBT😁👍
I have loved every minute of Young Sheldon. It’s been a blast ❤
Stop! Im already emotional 😂
It hits the heart warmly ❤
Love how Amy was a tough wife putting Sheldon in his place!
Me too. Though I wonder if it means it was a mistake to be with him.
Sort of taking his mother's place
Who's the guy that asks him if you are lost ???? 🤔 1:23
Now I know 2:22
Ian is very articulate
Love the advice at the end
The last two episodes were SO good.
They definitely went out at the top. Dragging it our would have changed the "feel" that we've all been left with. What incredible talent these little people brought in from the get-go, and what terrific people they developed into both on screen and in interviews.
How lovely!!!
I wish Sheldon and his sister Missy could have hugged and had a more intimate last scene together.
It does seem strange that he didn't hug Missy or Georgie when his own father died but he hugged Leonard when Professor Proton died.
@@andrewweisneck1102he was a lot more accepting of physical contact by then. The first episode ends with him saying how that was the first time he held his dad's hand. So it was very uncomfortable for him for a long time.
Farewell, Coopers......
What a delightful show, a delightful family, a delightful experience. I absolutely LOVED this show.
Fun fact. I've never seen TBBT at all. Only maybe half a dozen random episodes or clips on YT but I never was interested in it.
When YS ended, I wasn't done. I was also still so sad about George and the whole experience ending that I decided to watch the TBBT pilot and ease out of Medford and the Cooper family into Sheldon's next phase.
I stayed up all night binging the first 2 seasons and OMG LAUGHED so hard I nearly peed myself a few times. I LOVE this show. I hate myself for never being in on it when it was on...but it's still available to binge and it helped me get over the YS phase of Sheldon's life.
I'm dying at how rattled Sheldon gets by Leslie. All their wisecracks are so clever and hilarious.
So, Chuck Lorre, thanks for a fantastic experience.
I wanna see this kid in more films/shows... He's a very great actor, I want to see him do more dramatic roles.
at timestamp 3:03 Georgie is wearing a Houston Oilers sweatshirt. I am from the Houston area. I hope the Georgia and Mandy new show will have Georgie wearing Oilers shirts, etc.
I watched the last 2 episodes twice now and all I can feel is grief for this fictional character we all knew was going to die. The funeral episode was the first time it truly sunk in and I just felt so sad that entire episode and special props to Reagan revord and Zoe Perry they truly just out acted that episode and then the finale went on and I just felt empty both times I watched it the callbacks were fantastic especially the I believe in mom line and ending the series just how it started I have sadness that characters like Paige didn’t make the season but I truly can’t think of any better way to end a series with such an impossible task of making George’s death meaningful
I can’t help but wonder how much we missed out on because season 7 was cut from 22 down to 16 episodes.
My boy has becoming cool
Seeing adult Sheldon and Amy outside of The Big Bang Theory's format is jarring.
I was surprised when Amy said they both have a daughter as far as I remember there was no mention of their daughter only their son ;)
The original show established they had kids, plural. It didn't go into detail, save the joke about Leonard Nimoy.
@@elenachristian9860 Didn't Leonard Nimoy have a restraining order against Sheldon?
RIP George Cooper Sr.
George Cooper Sr. is dead in the Young Sheldon episode: "Funeral". Also, Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons appeared in the Young Sheldon episode: "Memoir". Iain Armitage moved from Texas to California after the death of George Cooper Sr.. "R.I.P. George Cooper Sr."
Young Sheldon is coming to a end and I'm not ready to see this amazing tv series go
I still feel like the worst character treatment in the show was Paige.
They did her character dirty, basically ruining her life.
I think the actress has done okay. The character is, as you know, fictional.
Why are ypu not uploading the full episode
There should be an episode with time traveling components!
In a way there is.
Bring back The Big Bang Theory
I wish they would have played TBBT music at the end.
They actually played an acoustic version of the theme when Sheldon was in his room packing his things.
I know we are getting a Georgie and mandy series, but I really would have loved a series about Sheldon during his Cal Tech years
Yeah, but that character devolves into the hyper-obsessive, neurotic, egocentric person we see in TBBT. It would not have been funny and that character would not have been endearing.
I just found out the penguin on the hockey jersey is skipper from Penguins of Madagascar
Quite the well spoken young man in the interview. Definitely can't say his role as Sheldon hurt in that regard.
I don’t think the ending isn’t that bad, but at least it was better than the HIMYM finale. While it was rushed, it ended the way it is. But can we take a second to the best series finales like Gravity Falls and Breaking Bad, those are 2 perfect examples.
The income from being the child actor means that whatever he decides to do after university means that he will have the cash resources to do whatever he likes. He has a brilliant start to life, and hopefully his parents managed his money well.
I hope he can get a lot of acting jobs in the future like Dwayne Johnson or other big actors and become mainstream and I hope he still channels his Sheldon character in other characters he does an amazing job portraying different types of personalities and crazy personalities he really make the character seem like real life not a TV character
So glad that it's over. Could never be friends with someone like Sheldon. Of course had to watch. Pure agony.
I ugly cry during the funeral service
I admit I got choked up a number of times in both episodes.
It's crazy to think that between the beginning of TBBT and YS has been almost 20 years.
wise words
0:12 Pasadena Penguins? Did I miss something here with the hockey jersey?
Apparently you did.
Their son Leonard
George's death made me cry..
I learned the Caltech man asking if Sheldon was lost is a Particle Physicist both series used to make sure all the science was accurate.
3:51 wen my dad passed away when I was 9 I was trying to sleep but I couldn’t without my dad and he was upstairs having a heart attack so I didn’t ermber wut happened the day before at all
This ending disappoints me. I have loved young Sheldon since the beginning and I feel like the ending was a little bit rushed. I wish the show had a few more episodes. And I don’t think Mary would have really sent Sheldon off right after his dad died. I think they would wait a while. Overall I love the show I just felt it was a bit rushed and incomplete.
That's where the big bang theory comes in though.
Because of the strike, everything was rushed.
I was very disappointed with the ending. I was very surprised at how Mary was with her family. I know grief is different for everyone but I still felt disappointed in her.
I didn’t feel they gave George a proper send off
@@eileenvonness5856 Welcome to life.
In the end, all we really know about Missy is that she's angry, and I would have wanted to know if Meemaw and Dale stay together. And I really thought Meemaw was gonna put the brisket recipe in the casket.
I am trying to figure out what was it that was coming on afterward because it was like something flash really quick like another YS show was coming on but it was So Help Me Todd. I thought it said something like reconsideration or something like that
“For your consideration” it means it is up for some Emmys .
@@lanetower3411 Thank you soo much for your response because I was Googling trying to find what I thought was the missing special show. There was a season finale of a major sitcom and they had an additional show after where I think actors talked or something, but I only set it up DVR for actual show not bonus could never find the after show to view. But now I am thinking since we have streaming it might be available, but I can't really remember what show it was. Friends?
I was confused by that too.
It repeated Young Sheldon packing to go to CalTech and said another episode was coming up from the funeral episode that had previously aired a half hour ago.
@@deniseoates7147 there was no aftershow. There have been some interviews with the cast on various venues.
I liked the Logan airport moment
I was hoping Sheldon would be zooming with either his family or friends when he was on his laptop 😮😮
You mean in the adult Sheldon scenes? Zoom didn’t exist in the 90s when Young Sheldon took place.
Such a delightful interview. Thank you!
I loved that Sheldon and Amy had the rubiks cube tissue box still
But Amy got rid of all of Sheldon's superhero shirts and I'm assuming anything comic book related.
Hope this actor made a lot of money and uses it wisely.. goes to college and is able to explore all of his options. As a younger child actor, he was blessed in getting the role, but it probably also limited his real-life experiences.. so go out there, young man, and dream big. Please take care of yourself emotionally and not fall into the traps Hollywood can set.
I'm sorry but I thought ending was a little lackluster. The funeral episode was nice.
This felt rushed , I kinda wish they put more time on it
Sheldon turned out way better looking than Sheldon.
How lovely to see that Iain Armitage has grown into such a delightful, articulate and intelligent young man! I hope that never changes, and I wish him well in all his future endeavors.
I loved watching older Sheldon and AMy, we need an adult Sheldon show.

Snow is the reason Sheldon hates MIT? Understandable.
The professor is such a talented actor ... ahm ... by saying one line? Common, why do actors like to overrate everything?
I know it sounds silly, but honestly, it can be hard for a non-actor to make it look natural. I thought it was an actual actor.

The Big bang theory ended May 16th 2019 and young Sheldon ended May 16th 2024. I just find that interesting
Sad they changed that Sheldon went to UT for undergrad (as per TBBT canon)
All the friends Sheldon will make at CalTech! Hah! Ans: ONE, Amy. Everyone else that met Sheldon tolerated him at best. Nobody wanted to spend any time with that guy. He was the most self-centered, arrogant. condescending know-it-all control freak in humanity. He never admitted wrong or accepted anyone else's opinion. He was selfishness par excellence. If anyone needed therapy, it was Sheldon Cooper. He had a few positive attributes but not many.
And, that's what made the show a success. Everyone can say, "well, I have faults, but not as many as Sheldon Cooper". I've met people similar to Sheldon, I avoided them at all costs, and so did everyone else.
Sheldon didn't meet Amy at CalTech, Howard and Raj found her on a dating website.
Fun Fact: Raj suggested that they get the girl from Blossom to join their physics bowl team two years before Mayim Bialik (the girl who played Blossom) joined the show as Amy Farrah Fowler.
Actually, it's strange that Sheldon didn't know Leonard, Howard and Raj from Stuart's Comic Book Store before Leonard became his roommate.
@@andrewweisneck1102 You're right. I forgot about that dating website.
I think when they were in the Comic Book Store, they avoided and ignored Sheldon. Again, you don't want to be even near a person like Sheldon.
@neilmanhard1341 Still, I would think they would have gotten into some heated debates about comics in Stuart's store even if they particularly didn't care for Sheldon, they would probably have been aware of him like they are of Captain Sweatpants.
And they never managed to get on Sheldon's enemies list.
@@andrewweisneck1102 Perhaps. But, if they got into a heated debate with Sheldon, well, that will surely get them on on his enemies list.
You are right, they were never on his enemies list and I think that's because they never debated him. Sheldon's self-importance and arrogance blocked any dissension from his opinions. (Even as something as trivia as comic books.) He was a thoroughly flawed person.
@@neilmanhard1341 On occasion, Sheldon will admit he was wrong like when he and Howard bet what kind of Cricket was in the elevator, forcing him to cough up his copy of Flash #123 featuring The Flash Of Two Worlds story from September 1961 that reintroduced The Golden Age Flash, Jay Garrick.
He wasn't happy about it, but he honored the bet to Howard.
whats the title of the song
"The Walk of Life" by Dire Straits
I hate to say it but the finale left a lot to be desired.
Nah, it was wonderful
The sheldon character just became far too obnoxious in the last few seasons. In real life, he would have gotten his butt kicked on a weekly basis 😂
