Look, as someone who's (very preliminarily) planning on having a young Mourn Watch Rook for my first playthrough, this man is going to be the adoptive father, no questions. Especially if his relation with Manfred is already leaning towards the paternal (as per Corinne Busche). Gonna get that skeleton sibling to play rock, paper, scissors with! Poor single dad Emmrich with his two kids, it's gonna be a blast!
That might be a little more literal than you expect considering how the Mourn Watch's Rook came to be.
I screamed when I saw the hand movement when you pick Emmrich to accompany you and the way he walked through the door along with Davrin

ok so something i noticed with Veilguard and i hope other party based rpgs do this is that during really big moments like hunting that blight dragon your entire party is with you during the cutscene until the fight. I love that unlike in inquisition when you hunt a dragon for the first time or do the big grey warden mission some party members like iron bull comment like they were there but i didn't take them with me. Little things like that i love.
Rook: “I’ve had enough of your misguided evaluations…!”
(punches the First Warden ala “Mass Effect”)

Emmrich being the gentleman necromancer and lighthouse dad is gonna be real fun when I romance him with my borderline feral Lord of Fortune single mom warrior. I am so looking forward to meeting him in-game bc this and everything I've seen and heard about him makes him out to be so endearing.

@@unifadewalker 😂 nice. Dorian is only a necromancer as a specialization, for gameplay reasons. I don't see him as anything close to a Nevarran mortalitasi, but that's probably biased, because I love the guy 😁
@@Mike-r4h If you choose the Necro spec Solas mentions that Dorian and the Mortalitasi use that magic as well, so he’s a Necro story-wise.
Because whoever wrote this won't have written absolutely any gritty characters. I guarantee it

Beyond just Emmrich content, this video is such a good showcase of how MASSIVE and intense the set pieces are. I could not be more excited.
Always have wanted a dwarf romance in dragon age since I absolutely adore the dwarves and their lore in the series but then when we get it with Harding they also have to introduce Emmrich and have to fight the internal battle every day if I'm going Harding or the sweet old man who looks like he could fix all my problems, they really werent lying when they said they wanted to have some tough choices in the game xD

I feel this game's characters would look loads better if they just did a couple of aesthetic changes to their overall designs to be more realistic. 1. Shrink the heads by like a third of their current size. and 2. Broaden the shoulders of the male characters, the shoulders and chest, and make the hips wider on the women characters. These simple changes would make them more reminiscent of realistic body proportions and look loads better imo. Also they need to adjust the sliders for female characters to have more body variety, cause what they have right now is rather limiting when they proclaim the game to be their most inclusive.

from what i understand what cassandra's va did was unique (she literally made it up on her own) so i wouldn't expect other nevarran characters to sound like her lmao
@@rogue-paragon I mean Zevran’s VA created the Antivan accent, which other Antivan actors have followed. With Cassandra’s Germanish accent and the Germanic names of Nevarra characters I was hoping for something other than British at least.

That blight rope thing looks like intestines. So gross. And I like the tentacles rising up from the blight puddles. This alleviates my concerns for the darker aspects of the game. I also thought that Emmerich’s robe was a little…too loud?( as Solas would say, lol) but the ambient lighting mutes it quite a bit. I was invested in seeing the outcome, and then it cut off :( October 31 can’t come soon enough. I even took a few days off work to indulge 😅

Thanks for this! I'm really excited to meet him... After Lucanis I think I'm most looking forward to Emmrich. Love his style, his flamboyant gestures and how sweet and kind he seems. All around perfect man, and the fact he's got a skeleton sidekick makes him even better. I'll probably romance Lucanis first, but I'm really tempted by Emmrich (and Harding... And Neve) so probably will romance him at some point. This cast looks incredible and the gameplay looks great! Veilguard can't come out soon enough.

Hi Uni. Quick off topic question. In the character creator hair section, what does the scalp option do exactly ? I have seen it in many videos but no one actually showcased it.
It helps sculpt the shape of the head so you can refine it to the shape and style you want even further ^^
