Phyllis Garr was responsible for the costumes on That Girl. Noted in the closing credits. She had excellent taste. Just look at the outfits that Ann Marie wore. Phyllis is also Terri Garr's mother. Terri appeared in a couple of TG episodes in cameo roles. She went on to have a very successful acting career. Terri Garr and Marlo Thomas both appeared on the show Friends. Marlo was Rachel's mother, and Terri was Phoebe's (and Ursula's) mother. The woman assumed to be their mother (who sadly committed sitcom suicide), was not.
The guy playing Seymour the agent went on to have an interesting career outside of acting. He established the White House Communications agency during the Johnson administration and then worked as the Deputy director of White House Communications during the Ford Administration and was a speech writer for the President.
@@jvcomedy It seems Jeff Vaughn, that You have revealed one of the obvious, clear direct connections and interconnections between "Hollywood"-TV-media and 'politics' with both 'parities', which are clearly interconnected. Also, GR Ford was among the selected members of the "Warren Commission". There were previous connections during previous decades also. All The Best.
Luv the lines written for Donald. Such a cute guy Ted Bessell was.
The most celebrated episode of the series, receiving Emmy nominations for both directing and writing. Danny Arnold and Ruth Brooks Flippen.
Some of these Season 2 episodes are excellent.
For a starving actress, Ann Marie was a world class clothes horse. But she had excellent taste.
I really miss Judy 😔
Me too!😢
Me too!
Ann's pink outfit is so cute! Much nicer than the clothes she was modeling. She was such a fanshionista!

You wrote everything about that man but his name. Is that classified information?
@@randilevson9547 His name was Don Penny. I didn't include his name since it ran on the credits at the end of the show.

Very interesting, thank you!
I remember this episode from when it first aired, I loved Dick Shawn
Oh my gosh I forgot …. I did that kind of modeling at restaurants about 50 years ago. I can’t remember what it was called.
I just remember it was called tea room modeling.
That's so cool!
I knew someone who did that in Phoenix, during the 80s or 70s.
TableSide??
Ann kept up a positive attitude despite having so many false starts in her career. How did she do it?
The photographer was later Sgt MacDonald on Adam-12.
I don't understand the title of this episode. (We did see the mailman in the last episode. )
Seymour used to work in the mail room … hence the title …clever title
Donald was a such a handsome man. Too bad they never had any bedroom scenes. Would have loved to have seen him with his shirt off.
Settle down.
Didn’t she talk to her agent Seymour a few episodes back?
Something out of order I’d say.
I thought about that too
Was Seymour Schwimmer the grandfather of David Schwimmer, aka Ross Geller from 'Friends?' I know, it's not possible. Just thought I would ask.
Would a reputable publicity firm employ someone as unscrupulous as Seymour Schwimmer? I doubt it. Somebody must have owed someone a favour.
Ann does not care how much Donald is over looked and insulted once she gets what she wants. Very annoying.
Ann's endeavors at trying to be an actress are boring. I liked this show as a child, when new, but don't care about it now. It's boring.
Well then watch something else instead, my goodness...
