Hey Sam! Thanks for continuing to provide these tips. I sort abandoned by hopes and dreams in 3d a while ago because my PC is aging so horribly and the lack of GPU rendering for my Radeon card just made things worse. But it's still fun and educational to watch your videos. Just thought I'd mention that. Take care!
Thanks very much! You'll be surprised at the results you can get out of older hardware, I only upped my PC game a few years ago, before then I was still managing to get pretty good results.
The c4d solo is mostly useless because while it might turn visibility on and off, it does nothing under the hood like turn off generators or other things that slow down the viewport speed. The reason I want to solo something is to make the viewport faster, as well as clear out the cluttered visibility.
I frequently copy the object I'm working on and then past it into a new project window. I then add the next/ previous project arrows to my menu bar to skip between projects and you can also add a shortcut for these ie. alt , right arrow/ alt , left arrow. Then when you work on them they are totally separate and when finished you can paste them back into the original document with identical coordinates.
I took a 6 month break from 3D and this tutorial just saved my sanity... Thanks DM!!!
Welcome back 😀
