  • The Fujifilm XE2 is the perfect walkaround street and travel camera. Paired with the 23mm, 27mm, or 35mm makes it the perfect Fuji 16-megapixel camera. There's something special about the X-Trans II sensor. You can find it in the X-pro 1, XT1, Xe2, and the X70 to name a few.
    Images were mostly edited raws. Here's what I did in lightroom:
    1. Added the Classic Chrome Color Profile.
    2. Added a curve. See this video on how: • Editing Street Photos ...
    3. Highlight and shadow adjustments
    4. Warmed them using Temperature.
    That's pretty much it.

    That advice at the end is so crucial. Back in the stone age, I took an intro to photography course in college. We shot rolls and rolls of B&W Ilford. It took the entire semester, and I finally got a picture the teacher said "Eh, not bad" to, and that was a compliment.

    Hi Omar, thanks for the video. I started my photography journey with an XT20 following your channel. Since then I tried all kinds of other Fuji bodies and I’ve settled on the XT20 and the XE2 as the two that work well for me. It’s nice to see you enjoying the XE2 as well.

      Noob question since I'm planning on getting a used XT20... what's the difference between the XT20 and the XE2? They seem the same to me except for the viewfinder placement...

    • @krolldavid
      @krolldavid 2 роки тому +4

      @@HAL9OOOTUBE XT20 has XTrans III, XE2 has XTrans II. They render colours slightly differently. XTrans III is the newer sensor. Same as on XT2 and XE3. It is very good in low light but colours SOOC are a bit cooler, more modern. Based on sensor, XT20 and XE3 basically take the same photos. And XT1 and XE2 also basically take the same photos (just a different form factor).

      hi stefan, i'm planning to get my first fuji camera and after little bit of research, i decide i want to pick either xt1 or xe2 because of the sensor, but, i confuse which one i should get for me, xt1 or xe2, do you mind to give me an advice? thank you

    • @panaitescustefan
      @panaitescustefan Рік тому

      @@achmadyusril5699 hey there and first of all you need to know that both cameras can get you great pictures. However I will pick the XT1 because of the form, the extra dials and a better AF than the XE2(now, dont expect Canon AF but it is better than XE2). On the other hand my gf enjoys the XE2 more... It is smaller, lighter, has a different shape and it suits her better. I think that the ISO is better with the XT1, that means you can push it a bit higher. The Xt1 is better weather sealed so tgats another plus. When it comes to sensors from what i remember(i might make a mistake here) the XT1"s sensor is a vit newer than the XE2 and performs just a bit better. But in real world I don't know you will notice that subtle difference. Hope it helps!

    That's a really nice set! Even though they were varied, there was a cohesiveness with the images.
    I have the E-1, E-2s and E-3. I started with the E-3 and worked backwards. At times the difference is subtle, but the older cameras have a special look that makes them sought after. I also like the layout of the buttons and dials.
    Your photo advice on the back end is spot on. As a former professional photographer I think it is important for those who started in the digital age to slow down a little. My grandson and I did some street photography together with Fuji cameras and he came back with many more images. While my percentage of keepers was higher, I realized I might have self edited a little too much at capture.
    I think you had fun and that shoot and it shows.

      @dougmacmillan1712 2 роки тому +1

      @@lorenzosuarez1094 not bad at all! It will take a little adjustment coming from an OVF to and EVF. However, with the DSLR OVF you have to shoot, chimp, adjust exposure compensation, shoot, chimp, etc. I can better judge and adjust exposure compensation with EVF. Also, I usually show the histogram on screen and use it as a guide. I don't chimp near as much now.
      I also have the H1 that has a better EVF, but the E3 is fine. You'll really enjoy experimenting with the film simulations. Also you can really change the look of each by making highlight and shadow adjustments.

Since Fuji is so good with shadow recovery I'm with Omar, underexpose. Bracketing with astrophotography can allow a throw-a-way shot as you move away from your tripod.

    On the newer Fujifilm cameras you can also try the HDR. The camera then does all the work for you and gives you a complete JPEG image. The downside is this only works with the electronic shutter, so avoid fluorescent lights (no flash) and rolling shutter situations. You can however choose the amount the camera varies exposure, to get the kind of dynamic range you want, or just leave it on auto.

    Love it! I cheat (Bracketing) with sunsets all the time, but i take 5 photos. Next focus stacking with 50 photos Mas i Mas photos! Can't go wrong with the Fujicron lenses

    Great pictures Omar. Love my xe2, one of the lesser talked about fuji x's Ironic talking about bracketing and ending is about using less photos. Lol. I get the point and can relate though.

    When I’m not simply recording a scene and trying to be creative I’ll definitely take a couple of different exposures (or more). Yes you can adjust further in post but trying to get it right in camera helps with the visualisation. Delete what doesn’t work. Don’t waste head space or storage space on bad photos.

    Yes, 35 F2 is great, I use that lens 98% of the time, replaced it for the 35 1.4 long time ago, still have the 1.4, not sure why ;-)
    the f2 is so compact, fast and sharp
    usually everyone seems to use wider lenses as standard, for me the 35 (about 50 equivalent) always was my main focus

    Really enjoy your way of presentation. This has made me pull finger and I'll start to use my XE1 with 27mm and try different shots. Late digital shooter.

    Bracketing is also used in astrophotography (up to thousands of photo's stacked). Though you need a rotating tripodhead.

    First, as always, yer funny and I always enjoy your videos! Second, I also just love the shots I get with the XF35mm F2. Just like buttah! I still use my XM1 from time to time, I want to get the 27mm pancake and just leave it on that camera for regular shooting! Cheers!

    I been looking for a used but at least excellent condition Xe2 for a while especially after watching your videos...seen a couple come up on MPB but been too late...and I'm not sure about buying on ebay lol. Anyways...I'm working on the Isle of Wight today (England) and just popped into a camera shop in Ryde...they had a brand new, never sold Fuji Xe2S, paired with an as new second hand 23mm f2 lense..all for £500!!! I have bought it obviously lol. I can't believe it, boxed Xe2S brand new!! All the second hand xe2's I have seen are nearly £400 body only!! What a bargain!! 🤗

    No apologies needed. Gear is good. Especially when it's the same as my gear.
    And when you said the light was no good, I thought immediately that you needed the Fujifilm Noir.

    Thanks for your thoughts about AEB with the X-E2. In case unknown maybe good to share: there's different kinds of bracketing.
    The X-T10 was my first, the X-T3 my last and the X-E2 my favorite camera. Oh Omar: it's my Noir camera! 📷
