Reseeding this year with GCI had bad poa in my lawn this year gonna dethatch and reseed gotta use this seed up...also gonna use Johnathan green starter granules just because I have some left from awhile back
I always use starter fertilizer with Mesotrione when overseeding, and it has always done well. I've used the Andersons 21-22-4 with Mesotrione as well as Lebanon Turf's same formulation with good results every time. Yellows out any weeds that don't die, so they are easy to finish off once the grass establishes.
Just saw something on Bluemuda. A mix of bermuda and bluegrass for cool season areas that also have very hot summers. Very interesting. Dr. Shaddox had a guest on that specializes in Bluemuda. You ask for something off the wall, here ya go lol. Not tried it but its got the gears turning. 🤔 God bless and enjoy vacation!
I'm still working on getting rid of my common bermuda in my RTF. Put down my last early season app of Fusilade 2 and Turflon Ester. Gonna ride out the rest of summer and then overseed with Barenbrug RTF in the fall. Gonna put down some Etho at the time of seeding and then subsequent apps as well. After germination, gonna hit the bermuda gain maybe twice, depending on temps. Hopefully the Etho can be a good pre-emergent for the fall and maybe carry me to spring. Then a soil test late winter and start the whole process again.😄
I used the newer version of Scott's Starter Fertilizer with Mesotrione the last time I seeded (I believe it's labeled "Built for Seeding"). I have seen less poa annua but the Etho might have something to do with that.
Hope y'all have a great time at the beach ... I sowed that Johnson Green heavy traffic in an area next to the GCI Cool Blue in my lawn and the GCI turf is a much better type of turf for my NC lawn in my opinion. Hope you have better results than me. Any way always enjoy your videos, press on in the good work sir 👍
Currently have GCI TTTF. But imma try the United Seed Super Turf Tall Fecuse blend on the front, and overseed the back with GCI. I like the GCI im just looking for that super dark green blend.
I've used The Anderson's, Protene, and Lesco fertilizers. I'm a big believer that the Lesco products from site one are the best bang for the buck.
Site One is my go to
I will also be overseeding this fall and using tenacity 🤙 I plan on dethatching in the fall before seeding

Etho4sc did wonders in my overseed last fall, will be doing it again this year.

Same for past 2 seasons...Works well. No complaints
Nothing wrong with that good sir. Stay cool this week. Praying for water there this evening.

We FINALLY got a lot of rain in my area earlier this morning.
Nice! I saw on radar some swept by Pete and Reidsville. Awesome man.
My plan is just to try and survive this summer and thicken up in the fall with some GCI blend
Amen bro
