    Ok Jonno, Born 1961. Pennine Way 1978 (Don't, it's horrible!), C2C backpacking with Trangia, Robert Saunders tent etc 1989 and again with wife and 10 year old 2002. Loved your kit review and you were sooo unlucky with the weather. What strikes me most is how far the kits developed and facilities on the route. Thanks and well done.

      @JonnoDoesStuff  Місяць тому +1

      I loved the PW! And still love using my Trangia, it's lovely and quiet compared to gas burners. The kit is really amazing these days, I'm very lucky. And yeah, the weather did suck but it's all part of the fun... I think. Thanks for your comment

    4:30 I looked into this myself around a year ago and got an Anker 523 (92 grams).
    Has 2 USB-C ports split between 27W and 20W - capable of 47W total. Turns out all USB-C cables have a minimum capability of 20W, but a powerbank isn't likely to go much above that, so 20W seemed fine to me. iPhone fast charge is also around 20W I think, which again is plenty fast. As you go higher with the wattage the extra heat degrades the battery faster anyway so I don't care much for the crazy 60W+ fast-charging

    I gave up after a bleak night camping at Blakey Ridge. Have returned home and am intending to do the Snowdonia Way and Beacons Way before I start my new job in August. Packweight is now a lot lighter! Just watching your canary island videos. Great stuff. I’m hoping to do a cross Madeira hike in December/January. Might even attempt some filming myself!

    The knife laws are ‘without good reason’ thought right? And camping is almost certainly considered a good reason. You do need to be able to justify it, but.

    • @JonnoDoesStuff
      @JonnoDoesStuff  17 днів тому

      Hmm, I thought the locking blade meant it was a no no. Certainly feel my reason for carrying would be good enough. Will do some research, thanks!

    • @sophieisabelle3762
      @sophieisabelle3762 17 днів тому

      @@JonnoDoesStuff so a Stanley is a locking blade, for example, even though it’s under 3” it would still be illegal for daily carry. It is however legal with good reason, like using it for work. You couldn’t justify taking it to the pub after work, but you’d be fine just commuting or being on a job site. The under 3” and non locking no assisted opening restrictions are around daily carry with no good reason. My gerber dime is fine for every day, but my Opinel isn’t. I take my Opinel camping though.
